l'invention concerne un procédé et un réacteur pour la décontamination d'eaux souterraines. selon l'invention on fait appel à la technologie des puits verticaux, issue de la technique de forage de puits, on réalise des puits filtrants horizontaux et on utilise des agents de réaction. l'objectif de l'invention est de développer un procédé et un réacteur du type susmentionné, avec lesquels on puisse effectuer de façon sûre un prélèvement bon marché et sélectif d'eaux souterraines, de toutes origines, pour leur faire subir un traitement (décontamination) sélectif et fiable. cet objectif est atteint par le fait que les eaux souterraines contaminées (5) sont amenées, à une hauteur quelconque inférieure à celle de la surface (9) des eaux, dans un réacteur (1, 2) et conduites à travers une chambre de réaction (1) comprenant au moins un agent de réaction (2), conformément au temps de séjour souhaité, et en ce que les eaux souterraines purifiées (4) sont évacuées du réacteur (1, 2) à une hauteur souhaitée, la hauteur d'introduction des eaux souterraines dans le réacteur (1, 2) étant sélectionnée en fonction du type et de la position du contaminant.
