[1] તે પથ્થરની કોતરણીવાળા પ્રથમ માળ, ખુલ્લા આંગણા, મિનાર ધરાવતી એક અનન્ય ત્રણ માળ ધરાવતી ભવ્ય ઈમારત છે. આ માળના પથ્થરની ફીટીંગની ઉપરની છજ્જા પર વાસ્તવિક અને પૌરાણિક પ્રાણીઓના શિલ્પો કોતરવામાં આવ્યા છે. પ્રથમ માળે એક ભાગમાં એક સંગ્રહાલય પણ છે જેમાં દરવાજા ઉપર લાકડા અને પત્થરથી બનેલા બારસાખ રાખવામાં આવ્યા છે. આ સંગ્રહાલયના પ્રદર્શનોમાં મહારાજા દ્વારા મોટી જમા કરવામાં આવેલ વસ્તુઓ રાખવામાં આવી છે જેમ કે રમકડાની ગાડી (કાર), ચિત્રો, પુસ્તકોની લાઇબ્રેરી, ટ્રોફીઓ વગેરે. સુશોભિત બાલ્કની ગોંડલ નગરના મનોહર દ્રષ્ય બતાવે છે. મહેલની ડાબી બાજુના ખંડમાં વાસણોનું પ્રદર્શન અને વિશાળ વજનકાંટાની જોડી છે; આ કાંરાનો ઉપયોગ મહારાજાના જન્મદિવસની વિશેષ ઉજવણીઓ પર કરવામાં આવતો હતો, જ્યારે તેમને સોનાની બરાબર વજન બરાબર તોળવામાં આવ્તા હતા અને પછી તે રકમ ગરીબોને દાન કરવામાં આવતી.[2]
