የወንድ ጓደኛ አለህ?

በርሱም ላይ በኋለኞቹ ሕዝቦች ውስጥ ( መልካም ዝናን ) ተውን ፡ ፡

and in his name shall the gentiles trust.
አሕዛብም በስሙ ተስፋ ያደርጋሉ።

ጠንቋዩ ግን ኤልማስ፥ ስሙ እንዲሁ ይተረጐማልና፥ አገረ ገዡን ከማመን ሊያጣምም ፈልጎ ተቃወማቸው።

( this niche ) is in the houses that god has declared to be highly respected and his name be mentioned therein in glory in the morning and evening
አላህ እንድትከበርና ስሙ በውስጧ እንዲወሳ ባዘዘው ቤቶች ውስጥ ( አወድሱት ) ፡ ፡ በውስጧ በጧትና በማታ ለእርሱ ያጠራሉ ፡ ፡

meles was a great leader, do you support the idea of naming different institutions after his name?
ጓደኛዬ:- መለስ ታላቅ መሪ ናቸው ብለህ ካመንክ ብዙ ተቋማት በእርሳቸው ስም መሰየማቸውን ትደግፋለህ?

in the houses ( mosques ) which allah has commanded to erect and in which his name is taken – praising allah in them at morn and evening ,
አላህ እንድትከበርና ስሙ በውስጧ እንዲወሳ ባዘዘው ቤቶች ውስጥ ( አወድሱት ) ፡ ፡ በውስጧ በጧትና በማታ ለእርሱ ያጠራሉ ፡ ፡

( the light is lit ) in houses of worship which god has allowed to be raised , and his name remembered in them . his praises are sung there morning and evening ,
አላህ እንድትከበርና ስሙ በውስጧ እንዲወሳ ባዘዘው ቤቶች ውስጥ ( አወድሱት ) ፡ ፡ በውስጧ በጧትና በማታ ለእርሱ ያጠራሉ ፡ ፡

indeed there has been a time for man , when even his name did not exist anywhere .
በሰው ላይ የሚታወስ ነገር ሳይኾን ከዘመናት የተወሰነ ጊዜ በእርግጥ አልፎበታል ፡ ፡

and tell them about the guests ( the angels ) of ibrahim ( abraham ) .
ከኢብራሂም እንግዶችም ( ወሬ ) ንገራቸው ፡ ፡

[ they worship ] in the houses which god has allowed to be raised for the remembrance of his name , morning and evening ,
አላህ እንድትከበርና ስሙ በውስጧ እንዲወሳ ባዘዘው ቤቶች ውስጥ ( አወድሱት ) ፡ ፡ በውስጧ በጧትና በማታ ለእርሱ ያጠራሉ ፡ ፡

( this lamp is found ) in houses which allah hath allowed to be exalted and that his name shall be remembered therein . therein do offer praise to him at morn and evening .
አላህ እንድትከበርና ስሙ በውስጧ እንዲወሳ ባዘዘው ቤቶች ውስጥ ( አወድሱት ) ፡ ፡ በውስጧ በጧትና በማታ ለእርሱ ያጠራሉ ፡ ፡

and inform them of the guests of ibrahim :
ከኢብራሂም እንግዶችም ( ወሬ ) ንገራቸው ፡ ፡

in houses ( mosques ) , which allah has ordered to be raised ( to be cleaned , and to be honoured ) , in them his name is glorified in the mornings and in the afternoons or the evenings ,
አላህ እንድትከበርና ስሙ በውስጧ እንዲወሳ ባዘዘው ቤቶች ውስጥ ( አወድሱት ) ፡ ፡ በውስጧ በጧትና በማታ ለእርሱ ያጠራሉ ፡ ፡

in houses allah has allowed to be raised and wherein his name is celebrated ; he is glorified therein , morning and evening ,
አላህ እንድትከበርና ስሙ በውስጧ እንዲወሳ ባዘዘው ቤቶች ውስጥ ( አወድሱት ) ፡ ፡ በውስጧ በጧትና በማታ ለእርሱ ያጠራሉ ፡ ፡

and ( all ) the most beautiful names belong to allah , so call on him by them , and leave the company of those who belie or deny ( or utter impious speech against ) his names . they will be requited for what they used to do .
ለአላህም መልካም ስሞች አሉት ፡ ፡ ( ስትጸልዩ ) በእርሷም ጥሩት ፡ ፡ እነዚያንም ስሞቹን የሚያጣምሙትን ተውዋቸው ፡ ፡ ይሠሩት የነበሩትን ነገር በእርግጥ ይምመነዳሉ ፡ ፡

and who doth greater wrong than he who forbiddeth the approach to the sanctuaries of allah lest his name should be mentioned therein , and striveth for their ruin . as for such , it was never meant that they should enter them except in fear .
የአላህንም መስጊዶች በውስጣቸው ስሙ እንዳይወሳ ከከለከለና እርሷንም በማበላሸት ከሮጠ ሰው ይበልጥ በዳይ ማነው ? እነዚያ ፈሪዎች ኾነው እንጂ ለእነርሱ በቅርቢቱ ዓለም ውርደት አላቸው ፡ ፡ ለነርሱም በመጨረሻይቱ አገር ታላቅ ቅጣት አላቸው ፡ ፡

( his prayer was answered ) : " o zakariya ! we give thee good news of a son : his name shall be yahya : on none by that name have we conferred distinction before . "
« ዘከሪያ ሆይ ! እኛ በወንድ ልጅ ስሙ የሕያ በኾነ ከዚህ በፊት ሞክሼን ባላደረግንለት እናበስርሃለን » ( አለው ) ፡ ፡
