and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured ,
ለሰውም ሁሉ የሠራው እንጅ ሌላ የለውም ፡ ፡

sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.
እንደዚህ ላለ ሰው ይህ ከእናንተ የምትበዙት የቀጣችሁት ቅጣት ይበቃዋልና እንደዚህ ያለው ከልክ በሚበዛ ኀዘን እንዳይዋጥ፥

ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
ሰው በእምነት ብቻ ሳይሆን በሥራ እንዲጸድቅ ታያላችሁ።

therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
ሰው ያለ ሕግ ሥራ በእምነት እንዲጸድቅ እንቆጥራለንና።

know ye not, brethren, (for i speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
ወንድሞች ሆይ፥ ሕግን ለሚያውቁ እናገራለሁና ሰው ባለበት ዘመን ሁሉ ሕግ እንዲገዛው አታውቁምን?

is a man who has followed the pleasure of god the same as he who has incurred his wrath , whose abode is surely hell , a dreadful place ?
የአላህን ውዴታ የተከተለ ሰው ከአላህ በኾነ ቁጣ እንደ ተመለሰና መኖሪያው ገሀነም እንደ ኾነ ሰው ነውን መመለሻውም ምን ይከፋ !

and man supplicates for evil as he supplicates for good , and man is ever hasty .
ሰው መልካምን ነገር እንደሚለምን ሁሉ ፤ መጥፎንም ነገር ይለምናል ፡ ፡ ሰውም ቸኳላ ነው ፡ ፡

and man prays for evil as he ought to pray for good , and man is ever hasty .
ሰው መልካምን ነገር እንደሚለምን ሁሉ ፤ መጥፎንም ነገር ይለምናል ፡ ፡ ሰውም ቸኳላ ነው ፡ ፡

yet man asks for evil as eagerly as he should ask for good . truly , man is indeed hasty .
ሰው መልካምን ነገር እንደሚለምን ሁሉ ፤ መጥፎንም ነገር ይለምናል ፡ ፡ ሰውም ቸኳላ ነው ፡ ፡

we shall preserve your body today that you may be a lesson for those who come after you ; as many a man is heedless of our signs . "
ዛሬማ ከኋላህ ላሉት ተዓምር ትሆን ዘንድ በድን ሆነህ ( ከባሕሩ ) እናወጣሃለን ( ተባለ ) ፡ ፡ ከሰዎችም ብዙዎቹ ከተዓምራታችን በእርግጥ ዘንጊዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡

man prays for ill as [ avidly as ] he prays for good , and man is overhasty .
ሰው መልካምን ነገር እንደሚለምን ሁሉ ፤ መጥፎንም ነገር ይለምናል ፡ ፡ ሰውም ቸኳላ ነው ፡ ፡

the likeness of them is as the likeness of a man who kindled a fire , and when it lit all about him god took away their light , and left them in darkness unseeing
( በንፍቅና ) ምሳሌያቸው እንደዚያ እሳትን እንዳነደደ ሰው በዙሪያው ያለውን ሁሉ ባበራች ጊዜም አላህ ብርሃናቸውን እንደወሰደባቸው በጨለማዎችም ውስጥ የማያዩ ኾነው እንደተዋቸው ( ሰዎች ) ብጤ ነው ፡ ፡

if a man dies and leaves no child behind but have a sister , she will get a half of what he owned , as he would have done the whole of what she possessed if she had died a childless person . in ease he has two sisters then they will get two-thirds of the heritage .
ይጠይቁሃል በላቸው ፡ - « ወላጅና ልጅ ሳይኖረው በሚወረስ ሰው አላህ ይነግራችኋል ፡ ፡ ለእርሱ ልጅ የሌለው ሰው ቢሞት ለእርሱም እኅት ብትኖረው ለእርስዋ ከተወው ረጀት ግማሹ አላት ፡ ፡ እርሱም ለርሷ ልጅ የሌላት እንደኾነች ( በሙሉ ) ይወርሳታል ፡ ፡ ሁለት ( እኅቶች ወይም ከሁለት በላይ ) ቢኾኑም ከተወው ረጀት ከሦስት ሁለት እጁ አላቸው ፡ ፡ ወንድሞች ( ና እኅቶች ) ወንዶችና ሴቶች ቢኾኑም ለወንዱ የሁለት ሴቶች ድርሻ ብጤ አለው ፡ ፡ አላህ እንዳትሳሳቱ ለእናንተ ያብራራል ፡ ፡ አላህም በነገሩ ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡ »

therefore said some of the pharisees, this man is not of god, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. others said, how can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? and there was a division among them.
ከፈሪሳውያንም አንዳንዶቹ። ይህ ሰው ሰንበትን አያከብርምና ከእግዚአብሔር አይደለም አሉ። ሌሎች ግን። ኃጢአትኛ ሰው እንደነዚህ ያሉ ምልክቶች ሊያደርግ እንዴት ይችላል? አሉ።

when a man is in trouble , he prays to god ; but when we bestow a favour on him he says : " it has come to me through my acumen . " in fact , this is an illusion , but most men do not know .
ሰውም ጉዳት ባገኘው ጊዜ ይጠራናል ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ከእኛ የኾነውን ጸጋ በሰጠነው ጊዜ « እርሱን የተሰጠሁት ፤ በዕውቀት ብቻ ነው » ይላል ፡ ፡ ይልቁንም እርሷ ( ጸጋይቱ ) መፈተኛ ናት ፡ ፡ ግን አብዛኞቻቸው አያውቁም ፡ ፡

and man invokes ( allah ) for evil as he invokes ( allah ) for good and man is ever hasty [ i.e. , if he is angry with somebody , he invokes ( saying ) : " o allah ! curse him , etc . " and that one should not do , but one should be patient ] .
ሰው መልካምን ነገር እንደሚለምን ሁሉ ፤ መጥፎንም ነገር ይለምናል ፡ ፡ ሰውም ቸኳላ ነው ፡ ፡
