for yourselves know perfectly that the day of the lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
የጌታ ቀን፥ ሌባ በሌሊት እንደሚመጣ፥ እንዲሁ ይመጣ ዘንድ ራሳችሁ አጥብቃችሁ አውቃችኋልና።

and jesus answered and said unto them, are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?
ኢየሱስም መልሶ። ወንበዴ እንደምትይዙ ሰይፍና ጐመድ ይዛችሁ ልትይዙኝ መጣችሁን?

this he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
ይህንም የተናገረ ሌባ ስለ ነበረ ነው እንጂ ለድሆች ተገድዶላቸው አይደለም፤ ከረጢትም ይዞ በውስጡ ከሚገባው ይወስድ ስለ ነበረ ነው።

but let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
ከእናንተ ማንም ነፍሰ ገዳይ ወይም ሌባ ወይም ክፉ አድራጊ እንደሚሆን ወይም በሌሎች ጒዳይ እንደሚገባ ሆኖ መከራን አይቀበል፤

then jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?
ኢየሱስም ወደ እርሱ ለመጡበት ለካህናት አለቆችና ለመቅደስ አዛዦች ለሽማግሌዎችም። ወንበዴን እንደምትይዙ ሰይፍና ጐመድ ይዛችሁ ወጣችሁን?

in that same hour said jesus to the multitudes, are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? i sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.
በዚያን ሰዓት ኢየሱስ ለሕዝቡ። ወንበዴን እንደምትይዙ ሰይፍና ጐመድ ይዛችሁ ልትይዙኝ ወጣችሁን? በመቅደስ ዕለት ዕለት እያስተማርሁ ከእናንተ ጋር ስቀመጥ ሳለሁ አልያዛችሁኝም።

they said , " if he is a thief , a brother of his had [ also ] committed theft before him . " but joseph kept his secret and revealed nothing to them .
« ቢሰርቅ ከአሁን በፊት የርሱው ወንድም በእርግጥ ሰርቋል » አሉ ፡ ፡ ዩሱፍም ( ይህችን ንግግር ) በነፍሱ ውስጥ ደበቃት ፡ ፡ ለእነሱም አልገለጣትም ፡ ፡ ( በልቡ ) « እናንተ ሥራችሁ የከፋ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህም የምትሉትን ሁሉ ይበልጥ ዐዋቂ ነው » አለ ፡ ፡

( so allah made the brothers to bind themselves with their way of " punishment , i.e. enslaving of a thief . " ) we raise to degrees whom we please , but over all those endowed with knowledge is the all-knowing ( allah ) .
( ምርመራውን ) ከወንድሙም ዕቃ በፊት በዕቃዎቻቸው ጀመረ ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ( ዋንጫይቱን ) ከወንድሙ ዕቃ ውስጥ አወጣት ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁ ለዩሱፍ ብልሃትን አስተማርነው ፡ ፡ አላህ ባልሻ ኖሮ በንጉሡ ሕግ ወንድሙን ሊይዝ አይገባውም ነበር ፡ ፡ የምንሻውን ሰው በደረጃዎች ከፍ እናደርጋለን ፡ ፡ ከዕውቀት ባለቤቶች ሁሉ በላይም ዐዋቂ አልለ ፡ ፡
