« ኀይሌ ከእኔ ላይ ጠፋ » ( ይላል ) ፡ ፡

and what do you know what the night of power is ?
መወሰኛይቱም ሌሊተ ምን እንደ ኾነች ምን አሳወቀህ ?

the night of power is better than a thousand months .
መወሰኛይቱ ሌሊት ከሺሕ ወር በላጭ ናት ፡ ፡

and what shall teach thee what is the night of power ?
መወሰኛይቱም ሌሊተ ምን እንደ ኾነች ምን አሳወቀህ ?

ah , what will convey unto thee what the night of power is !
መወሰኛይቱም ሌሊተ ምን እንደ ኾነች ምን አሳወቀህ ?

and what shall make thee know that which the night of power is ?
መወሰኛይቱም ሌሊተ ምን እንደ ኾነች ምን አሳወቀህ ?

too glorious is your lord , the lord of power , for what they ascribe to him .
የማሸነፍ ጌታ የሆነው ጌታህ ከሚሉት ሁሉ ጠራ ፡ ፡

and remember our servants ibrahim and ishaq and yaqoub , men of power and insight .
ባሮቻችንንም ኢብራሂምን ፣ ኢስሐቅንና ያዕቆበንም ፣ የኅይልና የማስተዋል ባለቤቶች የኾኑን አውሳላቸው ፡ ፡

we built the heavens by our authority ; and we are the lord of power and expanse .
ሰማይንም በኀይል ገነባናት ፡ ፡ እኛም በእርግጥ ቻዮች ነን ፡ ፡

and commemorate our servants abraham , isaac , and jacob , possessors of power and vision .
ባሮቻችንንም ኢብራሂምን ፣ ኢስሐቅንና ያዕቆበንም ፣ የኅይልና የማስተዋል ባለቤቶች የኾኑን አውሳላቸው ፡ ፡

and remember our bondmen ibrahim , and ishaq , and yaqub – the men of power and knowledge .
ባሮቻችንንም ኢብራሂምን ፣ ኢስሐቅንና ያዕቆበንም ፣ የኅይልና የማስተዋል ባለቤቶች የኾኑን አውሳላቸው ፡ ፡

for god hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
እግዚአብሔር የኃይልና የፍቅር ራስንም የመግዛት መንፈስ እንጂ የፍርሃት መንፈስ አልሰጠንምና።

forgiver of trespasses , acceptor of repentance , severe of retribution , lord of power . there is no god but he .
ኀጢአትን መሓሪ ፣ ጸጸትንም ተቀባይ ፣ ቅጣተ ብርቱ ፣ የልግስና ባለቤት ከኾነው ( አላህ የወረደ ነው ) ፡ ፡ ከእርሱ በቀር አምላክ የለም ፡ ፡ መመለሻው ወደርሱ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡

that was the way of allah in the case of those who passed away of old ; thou wilt not find for the way of allah aught of power to change .
( ይህቺ ) በእነዚያ በፊት ባለፉት ( ላይ የደነገጋት ) የአላህ ድንጋጌ ናት ፡ ፡ ለአላህም ድንጋጌ ፈጽሞ መለወጥን አታገኝም ፡ ፡

[ who is ] possessed of power and with the owner of the throne , secure [ in position ] ,
የኀይል ባለቤት በዙፋኑ ባለ ቤት ዘንድ ባለሟል የኾነ ፡ ፡

forgiver of sin , and acceptor of repentance severe in chastisement , lord of power . there is no god but he ; unto him is the journeying .
ኀጢአትን መሓሪ ፣ ጸጸትንም ተቀባይ ፣ ቅጣተ ብርቱ ፣ የልግስና ባለቤት ከኾነው ( አላህ የወረደ ነው ) ፡ ፡ ከእርሱ በቀር አምላክ የለም ፡ ፡ መመለሻው ወደርሱ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡

the revelation of the book is from allah , the mighty , the knower . forgiver of sin , and accepter of repentance , severe in chastisement , lord of power .
የመጽሐፉ መወረድ አሸናፊ ዐዋቂ ከሆነው አላህ ነው ፡ ፡

bear patiently what they say , and remember our servant dawood , the possessor of power ; surely he was frequent in returning ( to allah ) .
በሚሉት ነገር ላይ ታገስ ፡ ፡ የኀይል ባለቤት የሆነውን ባሪያችንንም ዳውድን አውሳላቸው ፡ ፡ እርሱ በጣም መላሳ ነውና ፡ ፡

( such was our ) method in the case of those whom we sent before thee ( to mankind ) , and thou wilt not find for our method aught of power to change .
ከመልክተኞቻችን ካንተ በፊት በእርግጥ እንደላክናቸው ሰዎች ልማድ ብጤ ( ይጠፉ ነበር ) ፡ ፡ ለልማዳችንም መለወጥን አታገኝም ፡ ፡

possessor of the highest rank , lord of power : he makes the inspiration to light by his command upon whom he pleases of his servants , that he may warn ( men ) of the day of meeting .
( እርሱ ) ደረጃዎችን ከፍ አድራጊ የዐርሹ ባለቤት ነው ፡ ፡ የመገናኛውን ቀን ያስፈራራ ዘንድ ከባሮቹ በሚሻው ሰው ላይ ከትዕዛዙ መንፈስን ( ራእይን ) ያወርዳል ፡ ፡
