« እናንተ የማታውቁ በነበራችሁ ጊዜ በዩሱፍና በወንድሙ ላይ የሰራችሁትን ግፍ ዐወቃችሁን » አላቸው ፡ ፡

now jesus loved martha, and her sister, and lazarus.
ኢየሱስም ማርታንና እኅትዋን አልዓዛርንም ይወድ ነበር።

he said , " are you aware of what you did to joseph and his brother in ignorance ? "
« እናንተ የማታውቁ በነበራችሁ ጊዜ በዩሱፍና በወንድሙ ላይ የሰራችሁትን ግፍ ዐወቃችሁን » አላቸው ፡ ፡

, he said : " do you know what you did to joseph and his brother in your ignorance ? "
« እናንተ የማታውቁ በነበራችሁ ጊዜ በዩሱፍና በወንድሙ ላይ የሰራችሁትን ግፍ ዐወቃችሁን » አላቸው ፡ ፡

' do you know ' he replied , ' what you did to joseph and his brother in your ignorance '
« እናንተ የማታውቁ በነበራችሁ ጊዜ በዩሱፍና በወንድሙ ላይ የሰራችሁትን ግፍ ዐወቃችሁን » አላቸው ፡ ፡

for whosoever shall do the will of god, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
የእግዚአብሔርን ፈቃድ የሚያደርግ ሁሉ፥ እርሱ ወንድሜ ነው እኅቴም እናቴም አለ።

that no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
አስቀድመን ደግሞ እንዳልናችሁና እንደ መሰከርንላችሁ፥ ጌታ ስለዚህ ነገር ሁሉ የሚበቀል ነውና ማንም በዚህ ነገር አይተላለፍ ወንድሙንም አያታልል።

they said : " keep him and his brother in suspense ( for a while ) ; and send to the cities men to collect-
( እነርሱም ) አሉ « እርሱንና ወንድሙን አቆይ ፡ ፡ ወደ ከተሞቹም ሁሉ ሰብሳቢዎችን ( ዘበኞች ) ላክ ፡ ፡ »

they said : " keep him and his brother in suspense ( for a while ) , and dispatch to the cities heralds to collect-
አሉት « እርሱን ወንድሙንም አቆይና በየከተሞቹ ሰብሳቢዎችን ላክ ፡ ፡

( cain 's ) soul prompted him to kill his own brother . in doing so he became of those who lose .
ነፍሱም ወንድሙን መግደልን ለርሱ ሸለመችለት ፤ ( አነሳሳችው ፤ ) ፡ ፡ ገደለውም ፡ ፡ ከከሳሪዎቹም ኾነ ፡ ፡

and we showed them not a sign except that it was greater than its sister , and we seized them with affliction that perhaps they might return [ to faith ] .
ከተዓምርም አንዲትንም አናሳያቸውም እርሷ ከብጤዋ በጣም የበለጠች ብትኾን እንጅ ፡ ፡ ( ከክህደታቸው ) ይመለሱም ዘንድ በቅጣት ያዝናቸው ፡ ፡

and it is he who created man from water , then appointed relatives and in-laws for him ; and your lord is all able .
እርሱም ያ ከውሃ ሰውን የፈጠረ ፣ የዝምድናና የአማችም ባለቤት ያደረገው ነው ፡ ፡ ጌታህም ቻይ ነው ፡ ፡

then if they repent and keep the prayer established and pay the charity , they are your brothers in religion ; and we explain our verses in detail for the people of knowledge .
ቢጸጸቱም ፣ ሶላትንም ቢሰግዱ ፣ ዘካንም ቢሰጡ የሃይማኖት ወንድሞቻችሁ ናቸው ፡ ፡ ለሚያውቁ ሕዝቦችም አንቀጾችን እናብራራለን ፡ ፡

but if they repent , establish prayer , and give zakah , then they are your brothers in religion ; and we detail the verses for a people who know .
ቢጸጸቱም ፣ ሶላትንም ቢሰግዱ ፣ ዘካንም ቢሰጡ የሃይማኖት ወንድሞቻችሁ ናቸው ፡ ፡ ለሚያውቁ ሕዝቦችም አንቀጾችን እናብራራለን ፡ ፡

believers , do not accept your fathers and brothers as your guardians if they prefer disbelief to faith , lest you be unjust .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! አባቶቻችሁና ወንድሞቻችሁ ክህደትን ከእምነት አብልጠው ቢወዱ ወዳጆች አድርጋችሁ አትያዙዋቸው ፡ ፡ ከእናንተም ውስጥ ወዳጅ የሚያደርጋቸው እነዚያ እነሱ በዳዮች ናቸው ፤

do not befriend your fathers and brothers if they prefer faithlessness to faith . those of you who befriend them — it is they who are the wrongdoers .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! አባቶቻችሁና ወንድሞቻችሁ ክህደትን ከእምነት አብልጠው ቢወዱ ወዳጆች አድርጋችሁ አትያዙዋቸው ፡ ፡ ከእናንተም ውስጥ ወዳጅ የሚያደርጋቸው እነዚያ እነሱ በዳዮች ናቸው ፤
