is there an oath in that for one possessing intellect ?
በዚህ ( መሓላ ) ለባለ አእምሮ ታላቅ መሓላ አለበትን ?

so we gave him the good news of a boy , possessing forbearance .
ታጋሽ በሆነ ወጣት ልጅም አበሰርነው ፡ ፡

they said : fear not . and they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge .
ከእነርሱ መፍራትንም በልቡ አሳደረ ፡ ፡ « አትፍራ » አሉት ፡ ፡ በዐዋቂ ወጣት ልጅም አበሰሩት ፡ ፡

do you eat , and pasture your cattle ! surely in that are signs for men possessing reason .
ብሉ እንስሳዎቻችሁንም አግጡ ፤ ( ባዮች ኾነን አወጣንላችሁ ) ፡ ፡ በዚህ ውስጥ ለአእምሮ ባለቤቶች በእርግጥ ተዓምራት አለበት ፡ ፡

so those possessing understanding fear allah . believers , allah has sent this down for you as a reminder ,
አላህ ለእነርሱ ብርቱን ቅጣት አዘጋጀ ፡ ፡ እናንተም የአእምሮ ባለቤቶች ሆይ ! አላህን ፍሩ ፡ ፡ እነዚያ ያመኑ ( ሆይ ) ! አላህ ወደናንተ ግሳጼን በእርግጥ አወረደ ፡ ፡ መልክተኛን ( ላከ ) ፡ ፡

and the similitude of a bad saying is as a bad tree , uprooted from upon the earth , possessing no stability .
የመጥፎም ቃል ምሳሌ ከምድር በላይ የተጎለሰሰች ለእርሷ ምንም መደላደል የሌላት እንደኾነች መጥፎ ዛፍ ነው ፡ ፡

they said : be not afraid ! lo ! we bring thee good tidings of a boy possessing wisdom .
« አትፍራ ፤ እኛ ዐዋቂ በኾነ ወንድ ልጅ እናበስርሃለን » አሉት ፡ ፡

as sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
ኀዘንተኞች ስንሆን ዘወትር ደስ ይለናል፤ ድሆች ስንሆን ብዙዎችን ባለ ጠጎች እናደርጋለን፤ አንዳች የሌለን ስንሆን ሁሉ የእኛ ነው።

when the first of the two promises came true , we sent against you servants of ours , possessing great might , and they ransacked your homes . it was a promise fulfilled .
ከሁለቱ ( ጊዜያቶች ) የመጀመሪያይቱ ቀጠሮ በመጣም ጊዜ ለእኛ የኾኑን ባሮች የብርቱ ኃይል ባለቤቶች የኾኑትን በእናንተ ላይ እንልካለን ፡ ፡ በቤቶችም መካከል ይመላለሳሉ ፤ ( ይበረብሩታል ፡ ፡ ) ይህ ተፈጻሚ ቀጠሮም ነበር ፡ ፡

is it not a guidance to them , how many generations we destroyed before them in whose dwelling-places they walk ? surely in that are signs for men possessing reason .
( ቁረይሾች ) ከእነሱ በፊት ከክፍለ ዘመናት ሕዝቦች ብዙዎችን ያጠፋን መኾናችን በመኖሪያዎቻቸው የሚኼዱ ኾነው ሳሉ ለእነርሱ አልተገለጸላቸውምን በዚህ ውስጥ ለአእምሮ ባለቤቶች በእርግጥ መልክቶች አሉበት ፡ ፡

god makes a comparison between an owned slave possessing no power over anything , and someone to whom we have given plentiful provision , who gives out from it privately and openly . are they equal ?
በምንም ላይ የማይችለውን በይዞታ ያለውን ባሪያና ከእኛ መልካም ሲሳይን የሰጠነውን እርሱም ከእርሱ ( ከሰጠነው ) በምስጢርና በግልጽ የሚለግሰውን ( ነጻ ) ሰው አላህ ( ለጣዖትና ለርሱ ) ምሳሌ አደረገ ፡ ፡ ( ሁለቱ ) ይተካከላሉን ምስጋና ለአላህ ይኹን ፡ ፡ በእውነቱ አብዛኞቻቸው አያውቁም ፡ ፡

all praise belongs to allah , originator of the heavens and the earth , maker of the angels [ his ] messengers , possessing wings , two , three or four [ of them ] . he adds to the creation whatever he wishes .
ምስጋና ሰማያትንና ምድርን ፈጣሪ ፣ መላእክትን ባለ ሁለት ሁለት ፣ ባለ ሶስት ሶስትም ፣ ባለ አራት አራትም ክንፎች የኾኑ መልክተኞች አድራጊ ለኾነው አላህ ይገባው ፡ ፡ በፍጥረቱ ውስጥ የሚሻውን ይጨምራል ፡ ፡ አላህ በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ቻይ ነውና ፡ ፡
