then said they unto him, lord, evermore give us this bread.
ስለዚህ። ጌታ ሆይ፥ ይህን እንጀራ ዘወትር ስጠን አሉት።

then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.
ፋሲካንም ሊያርዱበት የሚገባው የቂጣ በዓል ደረሰ፤

and they reasoned among themselves, saying, it is because we have no bread.
እርስ በርሳቸውም። እንጀራ ስለሌለን ይሆናል ብለው ተነጋገሩ።

and the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
ወደ ቤትም መጡ፤ እንጀራም መብላት ስንኳ እስኪሳናቸው ድረስ እንደ ገና ብዙ ሰዎች ተሰበሰቡ።

now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.
እንጀራ መያዝም ረሱ፥ ለእነርሱም ከአንድ እንጀራ በቀር በታንኳይቱ አልነበራቸውም።

but let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
ሰው ግን ራሱን ይፈትን፥ እንዲሁም ከእንጀራው ይብላ ከጽዋውም ይጠጣ፤

for john the baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, he hath a devil.
መጥምቁ ዮሐንስ እንጀራ ሳይበላ የወይን ጠጅም ሳይጠጣ መጥቶ ነበርና። ጋኔን አለበት አላችሁት።

but he answered and said, it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
እርሱ ግን መልሶ። የልጆችን እንጀራ ይዞ ለቡችሎች መጣል አይገባም አለ።

now them that are such we command and exhort by our lord jesus christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
እንደነዚህ ያሉትንም በጸጥታ እየሠሩ የገዛ እንጀራቸውን ይበሉ ዘንድ በጌታችን በኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ እናዛቸዋለን እንመክራቸውማለን።

and his disciples say unto him, whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
ደቀ መዛሙርቱም። ይህን ያህል ሕዝብ የሚያጠግብ ይህን ያህል እንጀራ በምድረ በዳ ከወዴት እናገኛለን? አሉት።

then the pharisees and scribes asked him, why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?
ፈሪሳውያንም ጻፎችም። ደቀ መዛሙርትህ እንደ ሽማግሌዎች ወግ ስለ ምን አይሄዱም? ነገር ግን እጃቸውን ሳይታጠቡ እንጀራ ይበላሉ ብለው ጠየቁት።

and because he saw it pleased the jews, he proceeded further to take peter also. (then were the days of unleavened bread.)
አይሁድንም ደስ እንዳሰኛቸው አይቶ ጨምሮ ጴጥሮስን ደግሞ ያዘው። የቂጣ በዓልም ወራት ነበረ።

now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to jesus, saying unto him, where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
በቂጣው በዓል በመጀመሪያ ቀን ደቀ መዛሙርቱ ወደ ኢየሱስ ቀርበው። ፋሲካን ትበላ ዘንድ ወዴት ልናሰናዳልህ ትወዳለህ አሉት።

but jesus said unto her, let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
ኢየሱስ ግን። ልጆቹ በፊት ይጠግቡ ዘንድ ተዪ የልጆቹን እንጀራ ይዞ ለቡችሎች መጣል አይገባምናአላት።

after two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
ከሁለት ቀን በኋላ ፋሲካና የቂጣ በዓል ነበረ። የካህናት አለቆችም ጻፎችም እንዴት አድርገው በተንኰል እንደሚይዙትና እንደሚገድሉት ይፈልጉ ነበር።

and the other said : i saw myself carrying bread on my head , of which birds ate . inform us of its interpretation ; surely we see you to be of the doers of good .
ከእሱም ጋር ሁለት ጎበዞች እስር ቤቱ ገቡ ፡ ፡ አንደኛቸው « እኔ በህልሜ የወይን ጠጅን ስጠምቅ አየሁ » አለ ፡ ፡ ሌላውም ፡ - « እኔ በራሴ ላይ እንጀራን ተሸክሜ ከእሱ በራሪ ( አሞራ ) ስትበላ አየሁ ፡ ፡ ፍቹን ንገረን ፡ ፡ እኛ ከአሳማሪዎች ሆነህ እናይሃለንና » አሉት ፡ ፡
