ባፈጣጠር እናንተ ይበልጥ የበረታችሁ ናችሁን ? ወይንስ ሰማይ ? ( አላህ ) ገነባት ፡ ፡

ባፈጣጠር እናንተ ይበልጥ የበረታችሁ ናችሁን ? ወይንስ ሰማይ ? ( አላህ ) ገነባት ፡ ፡

he said to his father and his people , “ what are you worshiping ?
« ለአባቱና ለሕዝቦቹ ምንን ትግገዛላችሁ ? » ባለ ጊዜ ፡ ፡

they said , as they came towards them , “ what are you missing ? ”
ወደነሱ ዞረውም « ምንድን ጠፋችሁ » አሉ ፡ ፡

they said , as they turned towards them , ‘ what are you missing ? ’
ወደነሱ ዞረውም « ምንድን ጠፋችሁ » አሉ ፡ ፡

say , “ what are you to my lord without your prayers ? you have denied the truth , and the inevitable will happen . ”
« ጸሎታችሁ ባልነበረ ኖሮ ጌታዬ እናንተን ከምንም አይቆጥራችሁም ነበር ፡ ፡ በእርግጥም አስተባበላችሁ ፤ ወደ ፊትም ( ቅጣቱ ) ያዣችሁ ይኾናል » በላቸው ፡ ፡

who said : what ! are you indeed of those who accept ( the truth ) ?
« በእርግጥ አንተ ከሚያምኑት ነህን ? የሚል ፡ ፡

" you bring me the good news now , " he said , " when old age has come upon me . what good news are you giving me then ? "
« እርጅና የደረሰብኝ ከመኾኔ ጋር አበሰራችሁኝን በምን ታበስሩኛላችሁ » አለ ፡ ፡

and one of the elders answered, saying unto me, what are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
ከሽማግሌዎቹም አንዱ ተመልሶ። እነዚህ ነጩን ልብስ የለበሱ እነማን ናቸው? ከወዴትስ መጡ? አለኝ።

and when he reached the age of traveling with him , he said : ' my son , while i was sleeping i saw that i shall slaughter ( sacrifice ) you , tell me what is your opinion ' he replied : ' father , do as you are ordered ( by allah ) . allah willing , you shall find me one of those who are steadfast '
ከእርሱ ጋርም ለሥራ በደረሰ ጊዜ « ልጄ ሆይ ! እኔ በሕልሜ እኔ የማርድህ ሆኜ አያለሁ ፡ ፡ ተመልከትም ፤ ምን ታያለህ ? » አለው ፡ ፡ « አባቴ ሆይ ! የታዘዝከውን ሥራ ፡ ፡ አላህ ቢሻ ከታጋሾቹ ሆኜ ታገኘኛለህ » አለ ፡ ፡
