መቅደምንም ቀዳሚዎች በኾኑት ፤

let the one who has the right take the prize

those who when they take the measure from mankind demand it full ,
ለእነዚያ ከሰዎች ባስሰፈሩ ጊዜ የሚያስሞሉ ፡ ፡

there is no elevator to success. you have to take the stairs.
ለስኬት ሊፍት የለም ። ደረጃዎቹን መውሰድ አለብዎት ።

this is indeed a reminder . let whosoever will take the path to his lord .
ይህቺ መገሠጫ ናት ፡ ፡ ( መዳንን ) የሻም ሰው ወደ ጌታው መንገድን ይይዛል ፡ ፡

surely this is a reminder , then let him , who will take the way to his lord .
ይህቺ መገሠጫ ናት ፡ ፡ ( መዳንን ) የሻም ሰው ወደ ጌታው መንገድን ይይዛል ፡ ፡

that is the true day ; therefore whoever wills may take the path towards his lord .
ይህ የተረጋገጠው ቀን ነው ፡ ፡ የሻም ሰው ወደ ጌታው መመለስን ይይዛል ፡ ፡

this is indeed an advice ; so whoever wishes may take the path towards his lord .
ይህቺ መገሠጫ ናት ፡ ፡ ( መዳንን ) የሻም ሰው ወደ ጌታው መንገድን ይይዛል ፡ ፡

those who take the unbelievers for guardians rather than believers . do they seek honor from them ?
እነዚያ ከምእምናን ሌላ ከሓዲዎችን ወዳጆች አድርገው የሚይዙ እነሱ ዘንድ ልቅናን ይፈልጋሉን ልቅናውም ሁሉ ለአላህ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡

most of them follow not but conjecture . assuredly conjecture can by no means take the place of truth .
አብዛኞቻቸውም ጥርጣሬን እንጂ አይከተሉም ፡ ፡ ጥርጣሬ ከእውነት ምንም አያብቃቃም ፡ ፡ አላህ የሚሠሩትን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡

say : i do not ask you aught in return except that he who will , may take the way to his lord .
« በእርሱ ላይ ዋጋን በፍጹም አልጠይቃችሁም ፡ ፡ ግን ወደ ጌታው ( መልካም ) መንገድን ለመያዝ የሻ ሰው ( ይሥራ ) » በላቸው ፡ ፡

it has been revealed to me that your god is one god . so take the straight path to him and ask his forgiveness . "
( እንዲህ ) በላቸው « እኔ መሰላችሁ ሰው ብቻ ነኝ ፡ ፡ አምላካችሁ አንድ አምላክ ብቻ ነው ወደእርሱም ቀጥ በሉ ምሕረትንም ለምኑት ማለት ወደእኔ ይወረድልኛል ፡ ፡ ለአጋሪዎቹም ወዮላቸው ፡ ፡

' o john , take the book forcefully ' ; and we gave him judgment , yet a little child ,
« የሕያ ሆይ ! መጽሐፉን በጥብቅ ያዝ ! » ( አልነው ) ፡ ፡ ጥበብንም በሕፃንነቱ ሰጠነው ፡ ፡

nor could he order you to take the angels and prophets as lords . would he order you to disbelief after you had been muslims ?
መላእክትንና ነቢያትንም አማልክቶች አድርጋችሁ እንድትይዙ ሊያዛችሁ ( አይገባውም ) ፡ ፡ እናንተ ሙስሊሞች ከኾናችሁ በኋላ በክህደት ያዛችኋልን

and they have no knowledge thereof . they follow but a guess , and lo ! a guess can never take the place of the truth .
ለእነርሱም በእርሱ ምንም ዕውቀት የላቸውም ፡ ፡ ጥርጣሬን እንጅ ሌላን አይከተሉም ፡ ፡ ጥርጣሬም ከእውነት ምንም አያብቃቃም ፡ ፡

a prophet would never order you to take the angels and the prophets as your lords . would he order you to disbelieve after you have submitted yourselves to god ?
መላእክትንና ነቢያትንም አማልክቶች አድርጋችሁ እንድትይዙ ሊያዛችሁ ( አይገባውም ) ፡ ፡ እናንተ ሙስሊሞች ከኾናችሁ በኋላ በክህደት ያዛችኋልን

do not direct your eyes towards the things we have given to some of their couples to enjoy , and do not at all grieve because of them , and take the muslims within the folds of your mercy .
ከእነርሱ ( ከከሓዲዎች ) ብዙዎችን ወገኖች በእርሱ ወደ አጣቀምንበት ጸጋ ዓይኖችህን አትዘርጋ ፡ ፡ በእነሱም ላይ ( ባያምኑ ) አትዘን ፡ ፡ ክንፍህንም ለምእምናን አለዝብ ፡ ፡

" but if any have done wrong and have thereafter substituted good to take the place of evil , truly , i am oft-forgiving , most merciful .
« ግን የበደለ ሰው ከዚያም ከመጥፎ ሥራው በኋላ መልካምን የለወጠ እኔ መሓሪ አዛኝ ነኝ ፡ ፡

and he commanded you not that ye should take the angels and the prophets for lords . would he command you to disbelieve after ye had surrendered ( to allah ) ?
መላእክትንና ነቢያትንም አማልክቶች አድርጋችሁ እንድትይዙ ሊያዛችሁ ( አይገባውም ) ፡ ፡ እናንተ ሙስሊሞች ከኾናችሁ በኋላ በክህደት ያዛችኋልን

nor would he order you to take the angels and the prophets for lords , what , would he order you with disbelief after you were submitters ( muslims ) !
