verily your enemy alone has been cut off from the roots .
ጠይህ ( የሚጠላህ ) እርሱ በእርግጥ ( ዘሩ ) የተቆረጠው ነው ፡ ፡

which snatched away men as though they were palm trees pulled out by the roots .
ሰዎቹን ልክ ከሥሮቻቸው የተጎለሰሱ የዘንባባ ግንዶች መስለው ( ከተደበቁበት ) ትነቅላቸዋለች ፡ ፡

an evil word is compared to an evil tree with no firm roots in the land and thus has no stability .
የመጥፎም ቃል ምሳሌ ከምድር በላይ የተጎለሰሰች ለእርሷ ምንም መደላደል የሌላት እንደኾነች መጥፎ ዛፍ ነው ፡ ፡

and they ask you about the mountains . say : my lord will carry them away from the roots .
ከጋራዎችም ይጠይቁሃል ፤ በላቸው « ጌታዬ መበተንን ይበትናቸዋል ፡ ፡

and we revealed to him this decree , that the roots of these shall be cut off in the morning .
ወደርሱም ያንን ትእዛዝ አወረድን ፡ ፡ ( እርሱም ) የእነዚህ ( ሕዝቦች ) መጨረሻ ያነጉ ሲኾኑ ( ሥራቸው ) መቆረጥ ነው ፡ ፡

do you not see how god compares a noble act to a healthy tree whose roots are firm and branches in the sky , which yields
አላህ መልካምን ቃል ሥርዋ ( በምድር ውስጥ ) የተደላደለች ቅርንጫፍዋም ወደ ሰማይ ( የረዘመች ) እንደሆነች መልካም ዛፍ አድርጎ ምሳሌን እንዴት እንደገለጸ አላየኽምን

have you not seen how allah sets forth a parable that a good deed is like a good tree , its roots are firm and its branches are in the heaven ,
አላህ መልካምን ቃል ሥርዋ ( በምድር ውስጥ ) የተደላደለች ቅርንጫፍዋም ወደ ሰማይ ( የረዘመች ) እንደሆነች መልካም ዛፍ አድርጎ ምሳሌን እንዴት እንደገለጸ አላየኽምን

so we saved him and those with him , by mercy from us , and we cut off the roots of those who rejected our revelations and were not believers .
እርሱንና እነዚያንም አብረውት የነበሩትን ከእኛ በኾነው ችሮታ ( ከቅጣት ) አዳንናቸው ፡ ፡ የእነዚያንም በተአምራታችን ያስተባበሉትንና አማኞች ያልነበሩትን መሠረት ቆረጥን ፡ ፡

did you not see how allah illustrated the example of a sacred saying ? like a sacred tree , which has firm roots and branches reaching into heaven .
አላህ መልካምን ቃል ሥርዋ ( በምድር ውስጥ ) የተደላደለች ቅርንጫፍዋም ወደ ሰማይ ( የረዘመች ) እንደሆነች መልካም ዛፍ አድርጎ ምሳሌን እንዴት እንደገለጸ አላየኽምን

have you not regarded how allah has drawn a parable ? a good word is like a good tree : its roots are steady and its branches are in the sky .
አላህ መልካምን ቃል ሥርዋ ( በምድር ውስጥ ) የተደላደለች ቅርንጫፍዋም ወደ ሰማይ ( የረዘመች ) እንደሆነች መልካም ዛፍ አድርጎ ምሳሌን እንዴት እንደገለጸ አላየኽምን

hast thou not seen how god has struck a similitude ? a good word is as a good tree -- its roots are firm , and its branches are in heaven ;
አላህ መልካምን ቃል ሥርዋ ( በምድር ውስጥ ) የተደላደለች ቅርንጫፍዋም ወደ ሰማይ ( የረዘመች ) እንደሆነች መልካም ዛፍ አድርጎ ምሳሌን እንዴት እንደገለጸ አላየኽምን

whatever palm-trees you cut down , or left standing upon their roots , that was by god 's leave , and that he might degrade the ungodly .
ከዘንባባ ( ከተምር ዛፍ ) ማንኛዋም የቆረጣችኋት ወይም በግንዶቿ ላይ የቆመች ኾና የተዋችኋት በአላህ ፈቃድ ነው ፡ ፡ አመጸኞቸንም ያዋርድ ዘንድ ( በመቁረጥ ፈቀደ ) ፡ ፡

consider ( muhammad ) how god ( in a parable ) compares the blessed word to that of a blessed tree which has firm roots and branches rising up into the sky
አላህ መልካምን ቃል ሥርዋ ( በምድር ውስጥ ) የተደላደለች ቅርንጫፍዋም ወደ ሰማይ ( የረዘመች ) እንደሆነች መልካም ዛፍ አድርጎ ምሳሌን እንዴት እንደገለጸ አላየኽምን

whatsoever palm-trees ye cut down or left standing on their roots , it was by allah 's leave , in order that he might confound the evil-livers .
ከዘንባባ ( ከተምር ዛፍ ) ማንኛዋም የቆረጣችኋት ወይም በግንዶቿ ላይ የቆመች ኾና የተዋችኋት በአላህ ፈቃድ ነው ፡ ፡ አመጸኞቸንም ያዋርድ ዘንድ ( በመቁረጥ ፈቀደ ) ፡ ፡
