threw themselves down in prostration
ድግምተኞቹም ሰጋጆች ኾነው ወደቁ ፡ ፡

all the angels prostrated themselves ,
መላእክትም መላውም ተሰብስበው ሰገዱ ፡ ፡

all the angel then prostrated themselves
መላእክትም መላውም ባንድነት ሰገዱ ፡ ፡

and amuse themselves with vain argumentation .
ለእነዚያ እነርሱ በውሸት ውስጥ የሚጫወቱ ለኾኑት ፡ ፡

disputing among themselves they will say :
እነርሱም በእርሷ ውስጥ የሚከራከሩ ኾነው ይላሉ ፡ -

then the magicians flung themselves prostrate .
ድግምተኞቹም ሰጋጆች ኾነው ወደቁ ፡ ፡

but they are in doubt , amusing themselves .
በእውነቱ እነርሱ የሚጫወቱ ሲኾኑ በመጠራጠር ውስጥ ናቸው ፡ ፡

and can neither help them , nor help themselves ?
ለእነርሱም መርዳትን የማይችሉትን ነፍሶቻቸውንም የማይረዱትን ( ያጋራሉን )

and the sorcerers were cast down , bowing themselves .
ድግምተኞቹም ሰጋጆች ኾነው ወደቁ ፡ ፡

and see thou : they themselves shall presently see .
ተመልከትም በእርግጥም ያያሉ ፡ ፡

neither be given leave , and excuse themselves .
ይቅርታም ይጠይቁ ዘንድ ፤ ለእነርሱ አይፈቀድላቸውም ፡ ፡

and cannot give them help , nor can they help themselves ?
ለእነርሱም መርዳትን የማይችሉትን ነፍሶቻቸውንም የማይረዱትን ( ያጋራሉን )

so the angels prostrated themselves , all of them together .
መላእክትም መላውም ተሰብስበው ሰገዱ ፡ ፡

besides god ? can they help you , or help themselves ? ”
« ከአላህ ሌላ ሲኾኑ ይረዱዋችኋልን ወይስ ( ለራሳቸው ) ይርረዳሉን »

and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves .
በሰጋጆች ውስጥ መዘዋወርህንም ( በሚያየው ጌታህ ላይ ተጠጋ ) ፡ ፡

so leave the unbelievers to themselves ; respite them awhile .
ከሓዲዎችንም ቀን ስጣቸው ፡ ፡ ጥቂትን ጊዜ አቆያቸው ፡ ፡

and they went early in determination , [ assuming themselves ] able .
( ድኾችን ) በመከልከልም ላይ ( በሐሳባቸው ) ቻዮች ኾነው ማለዱ ፡ ፡

by those [ angels ] who range themselves in close ranks
መሰለፍን በሚሰለፉት ፡ ፡

" ' besides allah ? can they help you or help themselves ? '
« ከአላህ ሌላ ሲኾኑ ይረዱዋችኋልን ወይስ ( ለራሳቸው ) ይርረዳሉን »

those whom you invoke besides him can neither help you , nor help themselves .
እነዚያም ከእርሱ በቀር የምትገ ³ ቸው ሊረÇችሁ አይችሉም ፡ ፡ ነፍሶቻቸውንም አይረዱም ፡ ፡
