i asked you what you were drinking.
मैं आप पी रहे थे क्या आप से पूछा.

o believers , look after your own souls . he who is astray cannot hurt you , if you are rightly guided . unto god shall you return , all together , and he will tell you what you were doing .
ऐ ईमान वालों तुम अपनी ख़बर लो जब तुम राहे रास्त पर हो तो कोई गुमराह हुआ करे तुम्हें नुक़सान नहीं पहुँचा सकता तुम सबके सबको ख़ुदा ही की तरफ लौट कर जाना है तब जो कुछ करते थे तुम्हें बता देगा

o you who believe , on you rests for your own selves . if you follow the right path those who have gone astray will not be able to do you harm . to god have all of you to return , when he will tell you what you were doing .
ऐ ईमान लानेवालो ! तुमपर अपनी चिन्ता अनिवार्य है , जब तुम रास्ते पर हो , तो जो कोई भटक जाए वह तुम्हारा कुछ नहीं बिगाड़ सकता । अल्लाह की ओर तुम सबको लौटकर जाना है । फिर वह तुम्हें बता देगा , जो कुछ तुम करते रहे होगे

recall the time when you were only a few suppressed people in the land , afraid of being terrorized by the people . god gave you shelter , supported you with his help , and bestowed on you pure provisions so that perhaps you would give him thanks .
और याद करो जब तुम थोड़े थे , धरती में निर्बल थे , डरे - सहमे रहते कि लोग कहीं तु्म्हें उचक न ले जाएँ , फिर उसने तुम्हें ठिकाना दिया और अपनी सहायता से तुम्हें शक्ति प्रदान की और अच्छी - स्वच्छ चीज़ों की तुम्हें रोजी दी , ताकि तुम कृतज्ञता दिखलाओ

say : ' work ; and god will surely see your work , and his messenger , and the believers , and you will be returned to him who knows the unseen and the visible , and he will tell you what you were doing . '
और तुम कह दो कि तुम लोग अपने अपने काम किए जाओ अभी तो ख़ुदा और उसका रसूल और मोमिनीन तुम्हारे कामों को देखेगें और बहुत जल्द ज़ाहिर व बातिन के जानने वाले की तरफ लौटाए जाऎंगे तब वह जो कुछ भी तुम करते थे तुम्हें बता देगा

we have charged man , that he be kind to his parents ; but if they strive with thee to make thee associate with me that whereof thou hast no knowledge , then do not obey them ; unto me you shall return , and i shall tell you what you were doing .
और हमने इन्सान को अपने माँ बाप से अच्छा बरताव करने का हुक्म दिया है और अगर तुझे तेरे माँ बाप इस बात पर मजबूर करें कि ऐसी चीज़ को मेरा शरीक बना जिन का मुझे इल्म तक नहीं तो उनका कहना न मानना तुम सबको मेरी तरफ लौट कर आना है मै जो कुछ तुम लोग करते थे बता दूँगा

allah certainly fulfilled his promise to you when you were slaying them with his leave , until you lost courage , disputed about the matter , and disobeyed after he showed you what you loved . some among you desire this world , and some among you desire the hereafter . then he turned you away from them so that he might test you . certainly he has excused you , for allah is gracious to the faithful .
बेशक खुदा ने अपना वायदा सच्चा कर दिखाया था जब तुम उसके हुक्म से उन को खूब क़त्ल कर रहे थे यहॉ तक की तुम्हारे पसन्द की चीज़ तुम्हें दिखा दी उसके बाद भी तुमने बुज़दिलापन किया और हुक्में रसूल झगड़ा किया और रसूल की नाफ़रमानी की तुममें से कुछ तो तालिबे दुनिया हैं से झुक पड़े और कुछ तालिबे आख़िरत फिर तुम्हें उन की की तरफ से फेर दिया उससे ख़ुदा को तुम्हारा आज़माना मंज़ूर था और ख़ुदा ने तुमसे दरगुज़र की और खुदा मोमिनीन पर बड़ा फ़ज़ल करने वाला है

but if they strive with thee to make thee associate with me that whereof thou hast no knowledge , then do not obey them . keep them company honourable in this world ; but follow the way of him who turns to me . then unto me you shall return , and i shall tell you what you were doing . '
और अगर तेरे माँ बाप तुझे इस बात पर मजबूर करें कि तू मेरा शरीक ऐसी चीज़ को क़रार दे जिसका तुझे इल्म भी नहीं तो तू उनकी इताअत न करो और दुनिया में उनका अच्छी तरह साथ दे और उन लोगों के तरीक़े पर चल जो मेरी तरफ रुजू करे फिर तुम सबकी रुजू मेरी ही तरफ है तब जो कुछ तुम करते थे

allah surely fulfilled his promise when you were slaying them by his leave until the moment when you flagged and quarrelled among yourselves about the matter , and acted against the order of . soon he showed you what you had intensely desired - for some among you sought this world and some of you sought the next . thereupon , in order to put you to a test he turned you away from your foes . still he pardoned you after that for allah is bounteous to those who believe .
