उन्होंने अल्लाह की कड़ी-कड़ी क़समें खाकर कहा, "जो मर जाता है उसे अल्लाह नहीं उठाएगा।" क्यों नहीं? यह तो एक वादा है, जिसे पूरा करना उसके लिए अनिवार्य है - किन्तु अधिकतर लोग जानते नहीं। -

और ये कुफ्फार ख़ुदा की जितनी क़समें उनके इमकान में तुम्हें खा हैं कि जो शख़्श मर जाता है फिर उसको ख़ुदा दोबारा ज़िन्दा नहीं करेगा तुम कह दो कि हाँ ज़रुर ऐसा करेगा इस पर अपने वायदे की लाज़िम व ज़रुरी है मगर बहुतेरे आदमी नहीं जानते हैं

एक निष्प्रभावी करार , अगर वह लिखित में नहीं है या पंजीकृत नहीं है या वह किसी कृत्य के लिए मुआवजा देने या सीमन विधि द्वारा निषिद्ध ऋण को चुकाने का वायदा नहीं है ।

indeed those who turn faithless after their faith , and then advance in faithlessness , their repentance will never be accepted , and it is they who are the astray .
जो अपने ईमान के बाद काफ़िर हो बैठे फ़िर कुफ़्र बढ़ाते चले गये तो उनकी तौबा हरगिज़ न कुबूल की जाएगी और यही लोग गुमराह हैं

ऐसे मौकों पर दो या अधिक देशों के राजनेता , बुद्धिजीवी और नीतिनियंता मिलते है और अनौपचारिक तथा मैत्रीपूर्ण वातावरण में विचार विनिमय करते हैं , जो भरोसे और समझदारी से और भी गहरा होता है ।

if your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. it is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into gehenna, into the fire that will never be quenched--
और यदि तेरा पांव तुझे ठोकर खिलाए तो उसे काट डाल।

equal it is for them , whether thou askest forgiveness for them or thou askest not forgiveness for them ; god will never forgive them . god guides not the people of the ungodly .
तो तुम उनकी मग़फेरत की दुआ माँगो या न माँगो उनके हक़ में बराबर है ख़ुदा तो उन्हें हरगिज़ बख्शेगा नहीं ख़ुदा तो हरगिज़ बदकारों को मंज़िले मक़सूद तक नहीं पहुँचाया करता

, tell your people , " i shall do whatever i can and you may do whatever you want , but you will soon know who will be victorious . it is certain that the unjust will never have happiness . "
और तुम उसके लाने में आजिज़ नहीं कर सकते कहो कि ऐ मेरी क़ौम तुम बजाए ख़ुद जो चाहो करो मैं अमल कर रहा हूँ फिर अनक़रीब तुम्हें मालूम हो जाएगा कि आख़ेरत किसके लिए है ज़ालिम लोग तो हरगिज़ कामयाब न होंगे

therefore do not relax , nor call towards truce by yourself ; and it is you who will dominate ; and allah is with you , and he will never cause a loss in your deeds .
अतः ऐसा न हो कि तुम हिम्मत हार जाओ और सुलह का निमंत्रण देने लगो , जबकि तुम ही प्रभावी हो । अल्लाह तुम्हारे साथ है और वह तुम्हारे कर्मों में तुम्हें कदापि हानि न पहुँचाएगा

if you sought a verdict , the verdict has certainly come to you ; and if you cease , it is better for you , but if you resume , we shall return and your troops will never avail you though they should be ever so many , and that allah is with the faithful .
अगर तुम ये चाहते हो फ़तेह हो फ़तेह भी तुम्हारे सामने आ मौजूद हुई अब क्या गुरूर बाक़ी है और अगर तुम से बाज़ रहो तो तुम्हारे वास्ते बेहतर है और अगर कहीं तुम पलट पड़े तो हम भी पलट पड़ेगें और तुम्हारी जमाअत अगरचे बहुत ज्यादा भी हो हरगिज़ कुछ काम न आएगी और ख़ुदा तो यक़ीनी मामिनीन के साथ है

' if you have sought a judgement , then surely a judgement has come to you . and if you desist from disobedience , it is all the better for you . but if you revert to your mischief , we will again chastise you ; and your host , howsoever numerous , will never be of any avail to you . know well , allah is with the believers . '
