sick are their hearts , and god adds to their malady . for them is suffering for they lie .
उनके दिलों में मर्ज़ था ही अब खुदा ने उनके मर्ज़ को और बढ़ा दिया और चूँकि वह लोग झूठ बोला करते थे इसलिए उन पर तकलीफ देह अज़ाब है

is it that they do not think about the quran or are their hearts sealed ?
तो क्या लोग क़ुरान में ग़ौर नहीं करते या दिलों पर ताले लगे हुए हैं

do they not then think deeply in the quran , or are their hearts locked up ?
तो क्या वे क़ुरआन में सोच - विचार नहीं करते या उनके दिलों पर ताले लगे हैं ?

do they not then earnestly seek to understand the qur ' an , or are their hearts locked up by them ?
तो क्या लोग क़ुरान में ग़ौर नहीं करते या दिलों पर ताले लगे हुए हैं

are their hearts diseased , or do they have doubts , or do they fear that allah and his noble messenger will oppress them ? in fact they themselves are the unjust .
क्या उन के दिल में मर्ज़ है या शक में पड़े हैं या इस बात से डरते हैं कि ख़ुदा और उसका रसूल उन पर ज़ुल्म कर बैठेगा - बल्कि यही लोग ज़ालिम हैं

are their hearts sick ? do they have doubts or are they afraid that god and his messenger may do injustice to them ? in fact , they , themselves , are unjust .
क्या उनके दिलों में रोग है या वे सन्देह में पड़े हुए है या उनको यह डर है कि अल्लाह औऱ उसका रसूल उनके साथ अन्याय करेंगे ? नहीं , बल्कि बात यह है कि वही लोग अत्याचारी हैं

are their hearts afflicted with the disease ? or , are they in doubt ? or , do they fear that allah and his messenger will be unjust to them ? in fact , they themselves are unjust .
क्या उन के दिल में मर्ज़ है या शक में पड़े हैं या इस बात से डरते हैं कि ख़ुदा और उसका रसूल उन पर ज़ुल्म कर बैठेगा - बल्कि यही लोग ज़ालिम हैं

they will not fight you in a body except in fortified cities , or from behind the walls . their enmity among themselves is great . you think they are united , but divided are their hearts . that is because these people are devoid of sense ,
वे इकट्ठे होकर भी तुमसे नहीं लड़ेगे , क़िलाबन्द बस्तियों या दीवारों के पीछ हों तो यह और बात है । उनकी आपस में सख़्त लड़ाई है । तुम उन्हें इकट्ठा समझते हो ! हालाँकि उनके दिल फटे हुए है । यह इसलिए कि वे ऐसे लोग है जो बुद्धि से काम नहीं लेते

and those who know not , say : wherefore speakest not god unto us ? or cometh not unto us a sign ? thus aid those before them the like of their saying : consimilar are their hearts . we have already manifested the signs unto the people who would be convinced .
और जो कुछ नहीं जानते कहते हैं कि खुदा हमसे कलाम क्यों नहीं करता , या हमारे पास कोई निशानी क्यों नहीं आती , इसी तरह उन्हीं की सी बाते वह कर चुके हैं जो उनसे पहले थे उन सब के दिल आपस में मिलते जुलते हैं जो लोग यक़ीन रखते हैं उनको तो अपनी निशानियाँ क्यों साफतौर पर दिखा चुके

those who have no knowledge say , ‘why does not allah speak to us , or come to us a sign ? ’ so said those who were before them , similar to what they say . alike are their hearts . we have certainly made the signs clear for a people who have certainty .
और जो कुछ नहीं जानते कहते हैं कि खुदा हमसे कलाम क्यों नहीं करता , या हमारे पास कोई निशानी क्यों नहीं आती , इसी तरह उन्हीं की सी बाते वह कर चुके हैं जो उनसे पहले थे उन सब के दिल आपस में मिलते जुलते हैं जो लोग यक़ीन रखते हैं उनको तो अपनी निशानियाँ क्यों साफतौर पर दिखा चुके
