लड़कियों को वेद - मंत्र नहीं सिखाये जाते थे ।

are we not students
क्या मैं छात्र नहीं हूँ

as a parent you know your own child best .
माता - पिता के नाते आप अपने बच्चे को अच्छी प्रकार जानते हैं .

do we not play hockey
they do not play hockey

after long time we not met
लंबे समय के बाद हम मिले

what then , shall we not die
है ना अब ऐसा कि हम मरने के नहीं ।

why should we not cut trees
हमें पेड़ क्यों नहीं काटने चाहिए

no parent should have to watch their own child die.
किसी भी माँ बाप को अपने बच्चो को मरता नहीं देखना चाहिए.

why should we not burst crackers
हमें पटाखों को क्यों फटा नहीं जाना चाहिए

driven by unbearable hunger she ate the placenta of her own child .
असहनीय भूख के कारण उसने अपने ही बच्चे के नाल को खा लिया ।

we have not taught him poetry , nor does it become him . this is only a remembrance and a clear holy reading
हमने उस को कविता नहीं सिखाई और न वह उसके लिए शोभनीय है । वह तो केवल अनुस्मृति और स्पष्ट क़ुरआन है ;

क्या हम इन्दौर नहीं जाते है

and we have not taught him poetry , nor it befitteth him . this is but an admonition and a recital luminous :
हमने उस को कविता नहीं सिखाई और न वह उसके लिए शोभनीय है । वह तो केवल अनुस्मृति और स्पष्ट क़ुरआन है ;

do we not have faith in our own people ' s strengths and in our institutions ?
क्या हमें अपने लोगों और अपनी संस्थाओं की क्षमता पर भरोसा नहीं है ?
