かれは御望みのことを，遂行なされる。

allah intendeth that he shall lighten unto you, and man hath been created weak.
（また）アッラーは，あなたがた（の負担）を軽くするよう望まれる。人間は（生れ付き）弱いものに創られている。

and thus we have sent it down as evidences, and verily allah guideth whomsoever he intendeth.
このように，われは明白な印（クルアーン）を下した。本当にアッラーは御望みの者を導かれる。

and we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth, or whether their lord intendeth guidance for them.
わたしたちは，主が地上の者に対して悪を望まれているのか，または，かれらを正しい道に，導くことを望まれているのか知らなかった。

and allah intendeth to relent toward you, and those that follow lusts intend that ye shall incline a mighty inclining.
アッラーは，あなたに対し悔悟を赦そうと望まれる。だが自分の欲望に従う者たちには，片寄った上にも，大きく片寄り去るよう望まれる。

these are revelations of allah; we rehearse them unto thee with truth, and allah intendeth not wrong unto the worlds.
これらはアッラーの印である。われは真理によってこれをあなたに読み聞かせる。アッラーは凡てのものに，不公正を望まれない。

allah intendeth to expound unto you and to guide you into the dispensations of those before you and relent toward you. and allah is knowing, wise.
アッラーはあなたがたに（掟を）解明して，あなたがた以前の者の慣行に導こうとなされ，あなたがたの悔悟を許すよう望まれる。アッラーは全知にして英明であられる。

let not wherefore their riches and their children amaze thee. allah intendeth only to torment them therewith in the life of the world and that their souls pass away while they are infidels.
だからあなたがたは，かれらの財産や子女に心を奪われてはならない。アッラーは，これらによって現世の生活の中に，かれらを懲罰しようとおぼしめし，またかれらの魂が不信心の中に離れ去ることを望まれるためである。

lo! allah causeth those who believe and do good works to enter gardens underneath which rivers flow. lo! allah doth what he intendeth.
アッラーは，信仰して善い行いに動しむ者を，川が下を流れる楽園に入らせられる。本当にアッラーは御望みのことを行われる。

say: who is he who can preserve you from allah if he intendeth harm for you, or intendeth mercy for you. they will not find that they have any friend or helper other than allah.
言ってやるがいい。「アッラーが，あなたがたに災いを望まれ，また慈悲を施そうと望まれた時誰が，それを差し止められようか。アッラーをおいては，かれらの保護者も援助者もいないのである。」

say thou: who is there that will protect you from allah if he intendeth to bring evil on you or intendeth mercy for you? and they shall not find for themselves, besides allah, a patron or helper.
言ってやるがいい。「アッラーが，あなたがたに災いを望まれ，また慈悲を施そうと望まれた時誰が，それを差し止められようか。アッラーをおいては，かれらの保護者も援助者もいないのである。」

verily allah is not ashamed to propound a similitude, be it of a gnat or of aught above it. then as to those who believe, they know that it is the truth from their lord. and to those who disbelieve, they say what intendeth god by similitude? he sendeth many astray thereby, and he guideth many thereby, and he sendeth not astray thereby any except the transgressors,
本当にアッラーは，蚊または更に小さいものをも，比喩に挙げることを厭われない。信仰する者はそれが主から下された真理であることを知る。だが不信心者は，「アッラーは，この比喩で一体何を御望みだろう。」と言う。かれは，このように多くの者を迷うに任せ，また多くの者を（正しい道に）導かれる。かれは，主の掟に背く者の外は，（誰も）迷わさない。
