マディーナの人びとも周辺の（遊牧の）アラビア人たちも，アッラーの使徒のあとに居残って，自分の身命をかれのものより大切にするなど間違っている。かれらがアッラーの道のために，渇き，疲れ，餓えに会う度に，また不信者を怒らせる行（攻賂）に出向く度に，敵に何らかの打撃を与える度に，かれらに対してもそのことが善行として記録されるのである。本当にアッラーは，正しい行いの者への報奨を無益にされない。
