imiren yenna-yas : ?ef wawal-agi i d-tenniḍ, ṛuḥ, yelli-m yeffeɣ-iț uṛuḥani.

and the devil said unto him, if thou be the son of god, command this stone that it be made bread.
cciṭan yenna-yas : ma d mmi-s n ṛebbi i telliḍ, ini-yas i wedɣaɣ-agi a d-yuɣal d aɣṛum.

and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
a d-ldint wallen-nsen a d-snesren iman-nsen si tifextin n cciṭan i ten-yeṭṭfen ad xedmen lebɣi-s.

moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

and he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the devil, and satan, and bound him a thousand years,
yeṭṭef-ed llafɛa yellan d azrem nni n zik, yellan d cciṭan d iblis, yeqqen-iț s ssnesla iwakken a t yeḥbes alef iseggasen.

and when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, it was never so seen in israel.
akken issufeɣ sidna Ɛisa aṛuḥani-nni, agugam-nni yebda ițmeslay. lɣaci akk tɛeǧben, qqaṛen : leɛmeṛ neẓri ayagi di tmurt n wat isṛail !

again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
cciṭan yewwi-t daɣen ɣef wedrar ɛlayen, isken-as-ed tigeldiwin meṛṛa n ddunit d lɛaḍima-nsent, yenna-yas :

and supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of judas iscariot, simon's son, to betray him;
llan tețțen imensi n tfaska, cciṭan yekcem yakan deg wul n yudas, mmi-s n semɛun n qeṛyut, iwelleh-it ad ixdeɛ sidna Ɛisa, a t-yezzenz.

and he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. and it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.
yiwen wass ikker sidna Ɛisa yessuffeɣ lǧen yesgugmen yiwen wergaz. mi t-iffeɣ lǧen, argaz-nni yebda iheddeṛ ; lɣaci meṛṛa wehmen.

and as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. and jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.
akken i d-iqeṛṛeb weqcic-nni, aṛuḥani isseglallez-it di lqaɛa armi i d-țeffɣent tkufta seg yimi-s. sidna Ɛisa yefka lameṛ i uṛuḥani-nni iwakken a t-iffeɣ. aqcic-nni yeḥla, sidna Ɛisa yerra-t i baba-s.

and they come to jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
mi d-wwḍen ɣer sidna Ɛisa, walan win akken tezdeɣ terbaɛt n iṛuḥaniyen yeqqim, yelsa llebsa, yuɣal-ed ɣer leɛqel-is ; imiren ikcem-iten lxuf.

forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
imi arrac-agi țwaxelqen s weksum d idammen, ula d nețța yusa-d s ṣṣifa n wemdan iwakken ad iɣleb s lmut-is cciṭan, win akken iḥekkmen ɣef lmut,

(for he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. for oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
yenna-yas-d akka axaṭer sidna Ɛisa yefka lameṛ i uṛuḥani i t-izedɣen ad iffeɣ seg-s. acḥal d abrid i s-cudden ifassen d iḍaṛṛen s ssnasel, nețța isseɣṛas-itent yerna aṛuḥani-nni yezzuɣuṛ-it ɣer yimukan yexlan.
