by the heaven which giveth the returning rain,
비를 보내는 하늘을 두고 맹세하사

that it is he who giveth wealth and satisfaction;
부와 기쁨을 주시는 분이시 며

who giveth away his substance that he may be cleansed,
이들은 그들의 재산을 바치 며 스스로를 순결케 하사

and that he it is who giveth death and giveth life;
생명을 앗아가기도 하고 생 명을 주시기도 하니라

as grace from us. thus we reward him who giveth thanks.
이것이 하나님 은혜가운데 하나로 이렇게 하나님은 감사하는자들에게 은혜를 베푸노라

as for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward allah)
자선을 베풀고 두려워 하며

as a favour from us. thus we recompense him who giveth thanks.
이것이 하나님 은혜가운데 하나로 이렇게 하나님은 감사하는자들에게 은혜를 베푸노라

and who causeth me to die, then giveth me life (again),
나의 생명을 앗아가신 후 생명을 주시는 분이시며

he giveth life and causeth to die, and unto him ye shall be returned.
그분께서 생명을 주시고 또 거두어 가시니 너희는 그분에게로들아가니라

he giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
들 짐 승 과 우 는 까 마 귀 새 끼 에 게 먹 을 것 을 주 시 는 도

who giveth you out of the green tree fire, and lo! ye kindle therewith.
너희를 위해 푸른 나무에서 불을 보라 그때 너희는 그것으로 불을 밝히노라

but thanks be to god, which giveth us the victory through our lord jesus christ.

it is he who giveth life and who taketh it, and to him shall ye all be brought back.

and how many angels are in the heavens whose intercession availeth naught save after allah giveth leave to whom he chooseth and accepteth.
하늘에는 많은 천사들이 있 으되 그들의 중재는 하나님이 선 택한 자에게 그분의 허락이 있는 이후가 아니고는 유용하지 못하노라

their lord giveth them glad tidings of a mercy from him and of goodwill and of the gardens wherein theirs will be a delight lasting:
그들의 주님께서 그들에게 자비와 기쁨으로 복음을 전하니 천국이 그들의 것이요 그곳에서 영원한 기쁨을 누리리라

lo! those who turn back after the guidance hath been manifested unto them, satan hath seduced them, and he giveth them the rein.
복음이 그들에게 밝혀진 후 에도 외면하는 자 있나니 사탄이 그들을 유혹하여 거짓 희망으로 기만했을 뿐이라

and accepteth those who do good works, and giveth increase unto them of his bounty. and as for disbelievers, theirs will be an awful doom.
하나님은 믿음으로 의로움을행하는 이들에게 귀를 기울이사 그들에게 그분의 은혜를 더하여 주사 볼신자들에게는 무서운 벌이있을 뿐이라
