살아있는 것과 죽은 것이 같지 않노라 실로 하나님께서는 그 분의 뜻이 있는 자로 하여 듣게 하시노라

these are the parables that we set forth to make people understand. but only those endowed with knowledge will comprehend them.
하나님이 비유를 드사 이것 은 온 백성을 위해서라 지혜 있는자들은 이해하리라

and when we make people taste of mercy they rejoice in it, and if an evil befall them for what their hands have already wrought, lo! they are in despair.
하나님이 인간에게 은혜를 맛보게 할 때면 그들은 그것으로 기뻐하나 그들의 손이 저지른 것으로 인하여 그들에게 재앙이 이를 때 보라 그들은 절망에 빠지노라

when we make people have a taste of our mercy, they exult in it; and when any misfortune befalls them in consequence of their deeds, then lo and behold, they despair.
하나님이 인간에게 은혜를 맛보게 할 때면 그들은 그것으로 기뻐하나 그들의 손이 저지른 것으로 인하여 그들에게 재앙이 이를 때 보라 그들은 절망에 빠지노라

and when we make people taste of mercy after an affliction touches them, lo! they devise plans against our communication. say: allah is quicker to plan; surely our apostles write down what you plan.
또한 그들에게 고난이 있었 을 때 하나님은 그들에게 은혜를 베풀었음이라 그러나 그들이 말 씀에 음모하니 일러가로되 하나 님은 보다 빠르신 계획자이시며 그분의 선지자들이 그들이 음모 하는 것들을 기록함이라
