therefore if you overtake them in fighting, then scatter by (making an example of) them those who are in their rear, that they may be mindful.
جا هه‌رکاتێک ڕووبه‌ڕووی (خوانه‌ناسان) بویته‌وه له جه‌نگدا، ئه‌وه وایان لێ بکه ئه‌وانه‌ی له دوایانه‌وه‌ن و یارمه‌تیان ده‌ده‌ن په‌رش و بڵاو ببن، به‌و هیوایه‌ی ئه‌وان په‌ندو عیبره‌ت و ئامۆژگاریی وه‌ربگرن.

god repelled the unbelievers in their rage. they could not achieve anything good. god rendered sufficient support to the believers in fighting. god is all-powerful and majestic.
خوا کافرانی تێكشکاند و گێڕانیه‌وه دواوه به‌خۆیان و کینه و بوغزیانه‌وه‌، هیچ جۆره خه‌یرێکیان ده‌ست نه‌که‌وت، هه‌ر خوا خۆی ئیماندارانی له‌جه‌نگ پاڕاست (هه‌ر خۆێشی به باو باران و له‌شکری تایبه‌تی کافرانی تێكشکان)، جا هه‌میشه‌و به‌رده‌وام خوا به‌هێزه‌و به‌ده‌سه‌ڵاته‌.

and allah turned back the unbelievers in their rage; they did not obtain any advantage, and allah sufficed the believers in fighting; and allah is strong, mighty.
خوا کافرانی تێكشکاند و گێڕانیه‌وه دواوه به‌خۆیان و کینه و بوغزیانه‌وه‌، هیچ جۆره خه‌یرێکیان ده‌ست نه‌که‌وت، هه‌ر خوا خۆی ئیماندارانی له‌جه‌نگ پاڕاست (هه‌ر خۆێشی به باو باران و له‌شکری تایبه‌تی کافرانی تێكشکان)، جا هه‌میشه‌و به‌رده‌وام خوا به‌هێزه‌و به‌ده‌سه‌ڵاته‌.

nor can there be any cause for reproach against those who, when they came to you asking for mounts to go to the battlefront, and when you said that you had no mounts for them, they went back, their eyes overflowing with tears, grieving that they had no resources to enable them to take part in fighting.
هه‌روه‌ها گله‌یی و ڕه‌خنه نیه له‌سه‌ر ئه‌و که‌سانه‌ی که دێن بۆ لای تۆ بۆ ئه‌وه‌ی وڵاخی سواریان بۆ په‌یدا بکه‌یت و بێن بۆ جیهاد، تۆش ده‌ڵێیت: هیچ شک نابه‌م تا بتانده‌مێ بۆ سواری (ئیتر به نائومێدی) گه‌ڕانه‌وه‌و چاویان فرمێسکی لێ ده‌ڕژا له خه‌فه‌تدا ئه‌سرینی لێ ده‌باری چونکه هیچ شک نابه‌ن بیبه‌خشن و خه‌رجی بکه‌ن (له پێناوی خوادا، چۆن له غه‌زا دواکه‌وتن)!!.

how is it that you do not expend in the way of allah when to allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? those who spent their wealth and took part in fighting before the victory cannot be equated (with those who spent their wealth and took part in fighting afterwards). they are higher in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards. but to each allah has promised a good reward. allah is well aware of all that you do.
جا ئیتر ئه‌وه‌چیتانه‌و بۆچی ماڵ و سامانتان نابه‌خشین له‌رێگه‌ی خوادا، خۆ هه‌رچی له‌ئاسمانه‌کان و زه‌ویدا هه‌یه بۆ خوا ده‌مێنێته‌وه‌، بێگومان چوونیه‌ک نین ئه‌وانه‌تان که‌پێش ڕزگاری مه‌ککه‌، یاخود پێش سه‌رکه‌وتن، ماڵ و سامانی به‌خشیووه‌و جه‌نگاوه‌، چونکه‌ئه‌وانه‌پله‌و پایه‌یان زۆر به‌رزتره‌له‌وانه‌ی که‌دوای ڕزگاری مه‌ککه‌و به‌ده‌ست هێنانی سه‌رکه‌وتن ماڵ و سامانیان به‌خشیووه و جه‌نگاون، به‌هه‌ردوولاشیان خوا به‌ڵێنی به‌هه‌شتی به‌خشیووه‌، بێگومان ئه‌و خوایه ئاگایه به‌کاروکرده‌وه‌تان
