you and your ancestors?
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާއި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ އިސްވެދިޔަ ކާބަފައިން އަޅުކަންކުރި ތަކެއްޗާމެދު ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ވިސްނައި ބެލީމުހެއްޔެވެ؟

and our ancestors of old?”
އަދި ތިމަންމެންގެ އިސްވެދިޔަ ކާބަފައިންވެސް ހެއްޔެވެ؟

and our ancient ancestors too?”
އަދި ތިމަންމެންގެ އިސްވެދިޔަ ކާބަފައިންވެސް ހެއްޔެވެ؟

bring back our ancestors, if you are truthful.”
ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ތެދުވެރިންކަމުގައިވަނީނަމަ، ތިމަންމެންގެ ކާބަފައިން (ދިރުވައި) ގެނެސްބަލާށެވެ!

so bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful."
ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ތެދުވެރިންކަމުގައިވަނީނަމަ، ތިމަންމެންގެ ކާބަފައިން (ދިރުވައި) ގެނެސްބަލާށެވެ!

they said, “but we found our ancestors doing so.”
އެއުރެން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. އަދި ކީއްހެއްޔެވެ؟ ތިމަންމެންގެ ކާބަފައިން އެފަދައިން ކަންތައްކުރާތީ ތިމަންމެން ދުށީމުއެވެ.

allah is your lord and the lord of your ancestors of yore.”
އެކަލާނގެއީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވެރި، އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ އިސްވެދިޔަ ކާބަފައިންގެ ވެރި اللَّه އެވެ.

he said, “your lord and the lord of your ancestors of old.”
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. އެއީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ އިސްވެދިޔަ ކާބަފައިންގެވެސް ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

indeed, when the water overflowed, we carried your ancestors in the sailing ship
ފެންގަނޑު ހައްދުފަހަނަޅައި އެރިހިނދު، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، ނައުކޮޅުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އުފުއްލެވީމެވެ.

so that you may warn a people whose ancestors were not warned before wherefore they are heedless.
އެއުރެންގެ ކާބަފައިންނަށް إنذار ކުރައްވާފައިނުވާ ބަޔަކަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު إنذار ކުރެއްވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނީ غافل ވެގެންވާ ބަޔެކެވެ.

they worship only as their ancestors worshiped before. we will pay them their due in full, without any reduction.
ފަހެ، މިބައިމީހުން އަޅުކަންކުރާ ފަރާތްތަކާ ބެހޭގޮތުން، شك ކަމެއްގައި ކަލޭގެފާނު ނުހުންނަވާށެވެ! ކުރިންވެސް އެއުރެންގެ ކާބަފައިން އަޅުކަންކުރާ ފަދައަކުން މެނުވީ، އެއުރެން އަޅުކަމެއް ނުކުރެތެވެ. އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އުނިވުމެއްނެތި އެއުރެންގެ (عذاب ގެ) ބައި، އެބައިމީހުންނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަމަޔަށް ދެއްވާހުށީމެވެ.

there is no god but he. he gives life and causes death—your lord and lord of your ancestors of old.
އެކަލާނގެ މެނުވީ އެހެން إله އަކުނުވެއެވެ. ދިރުއްވަނީވެސް، އަދި މަރުގަންނަވަނީވެސް، ހަމަ އެކަލާނގެއެވެ. އެއީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ އިސްވެދިޔަ ކާބަފައިންގެވެސް ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

and some of their ancestors and their descendants and their brothers; and we chose them and guided them to the straight path.
އަދި އެބޭކަލުންގެ ކާބަފައިކަލުންނާއި، އެބޭކަލުންގެ ދަރިފަސްކޮޅުތަކާއި، އެބޭކަލުންގެ إخوان ންގެ ތެރެއިން ބަޔަކަށް ތެދުމަގު ދެއްކެވީމެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެބޭކަލުން خيار ކުރައްވައި، އެބޭކަލުންނަށް ސީދާވެގެންވާ ތެދުމަގަށް މަގުދެއްކެވީމެވެ.

a thing about which they have no knowledge, neither they nor their ancestors. dreadful is the word that comes out of their mouths.
އެއުރެންނަކަށްވެސް، އަދި އެއުރެންގެ ކާބަފައިންނަކަށްވެސް (އެއުރެން އެބުނާ ބަހާމެދު) އެއްވެސް علم އެއް ލިބިފައެއް ނުވެއެވެ. އެއުރެންގެ އަނގަތަކުން އެނުކުންނަ ބަހެއްގެ ބޮޑުކަމާއެވެ! އެއުރެން އެ ބުނަނީ، ދޮގެއްކަމުގައިނޫނީ ނުވެއެވެ.

and of their ancestors, and their descendants, and their siblings—we chose them, and guided them to a straight path.
އަދި އެބޭކަލުންގެ ކާބަފައިކަލުންނާއި، އެބޭކަލުންގެ ދަރިފަސްކޮޅުތަކާއި، އެބޭކަލުންގެ إخوان ންގެ ތެރެއިން ބަޔަކަށް ތެދުމަގު ދެއްކެވީމެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެބޭކަލުން خيار ކުރައްވައި، އެބޭކަލުންނަށް ސީދާވެގެންވާ ތެދުމަގަށް މަގުދެއްކެވީމެވެ.

there is no god but he: it is he who gives life and gives death,- the lord and cherisher to you and your earliest ancestors.
އެކަލާނގެ މެނުވީ އެހެން إله އަކުނުވެއެވެ. ދިރުއްވަނީވެސް، އަދި މަރުގަންނަވަނީވެސް، ހަމަ އެކަލާނގެއެވެ. އެއީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ އިސްވެދިޔަ ކާބަފައިންގެވެސް ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

when our clarifying verses are recited to them, their only argument is to say, “bring back our ancestors, if you are truthful.”
އަދި އެބައިމީހުންނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތައް بيان ވެގެންވާގޮތުގައި ކިޔައިދެއްވާހިނދު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ތެދުވެރިންކަމުގައިވަނީނަމަ، ތިމަންމެންގެ ކާބަފައިން ތިމަންމެންނަށް ގެނެސްދޭށޭ ބުނުންމެނުވީ އެއުރެން ދައްކާނޭ حجّة އެއް ނުވެތެވެ.

it was not for us to take any lords besides you. but you gave them enjoyments, and their ancestors, until they forgot the message, and became ruined people.”
އެއުރެން ދަންނަވާނެތެވެ. އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެ ހުސްطاهر ވަންތަކަމާއެވެ! އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެ ފިޔަވައި އެހެން އެހީތެރިފަރާތްތަކެއް ހިފުމަކީ، ތިމަންމެންނަށް އެކަށީގެންވާ ކަމެއްކަމުގައި ނުވެއެވެ. އެހެނެއްކަމަކު، އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަށާއި، އެއުރެންގެ ކާބަފައިންނަށް ފަސޭހަ ދިރިއުޅުމާއި، نعمة ދެއްވީމުއެވެ. وعظ އާއި نصيحة ގެ މަތިން އެއުރެން ހަނދާން ނައްތައިފުމަށް ދާނދެނެވެ. އަދި ގެއްލި ހަލާކުވި ބަޔަކުކަމުގައި، އެއުރެން ވޫއެވެ.

he replied: "you have already been beset with punishment and the wrath of god. why dispute with me about names invented by you and your ancestors for which no sanction was sent down?
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ން عذاب އަކާއި، ކޯފާއެއް އައިސް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ މައްޗަށް ހުށަހެޅިއްޖެކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާއި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ކާބަފައިން، ނަންދީފައިވާ ބުދުތަކާމެދު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނާ جدل ކުރަނީ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އެތަކެއްޗަށް (އަޅުކަން ކުރުމަށް) އެއްވެސް حجّة އެއް اللَّه ބާވައެއް ނުލައްވަތެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން انتظار ކުރާށެވެ! ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނުވެސް ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާއެކު انتظار ކުރާ މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ވާހުށީމެވެ.

he said, “condemnation and wrath have befallen you from your lord. are you arguing with me over names, which you and your ancestors invented, for which god sent down no authority?
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ން عذاب އަކާއި، ކޯފާއެއް އައިސް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ މައްޗަށް ހުށަހެޅިއްޖެކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާއި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ކާބަފައިން، ނަންދީފައިވާ ބުދުތަކާމެދު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނާ جدل ކުރަނީ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އެތަކެއްޗަށް (އަޅުކަން ކުރުމަށް) އެއްވެސް حجّة އެއް اللَّه ބާވައެއް ނުލައްވަތެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން انتظار ކުރާށެވެ! ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނުވެސް ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާއެކު انتظار ކުރާ މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ވާހުށީމެވެ.
