and the night when it enshroudeth him,
އަދި ރޭގަނޑު، އެ އިރު ނިވާކުރާހިނދު، އެ ރޭގަނޑު ގަންދެއްވަމެވެ.

and by the night and all that it enshroudeth,
އަދި ރޭގަނޑާއި، އެ ރޭގަނޑު އެއްކުޅަހާ ތަކެތި ގަންދެއްވަމެވެ.

and if a wave enshroudeth them like awnings, they cry unto allah, making their faith pure for him only. but when he bringeth them safe to land, some of them compromise.
އަދި ހިޔާއަޅާ ފަރުބަދަތައްފަދަ ރާޅުތައް، އެއުރެން ވަށައިލައިފިނަމަ، އެކަލާނގެއަށް إيمان ކަން خالص ކުރާ حال ގައި، اللَّه އަށް އެބައިމީހުން دعاء ކުރާނެތެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ، އެއުރެން ސަލާމަތްކުރައްވައި އެއްގަމަށް ގެންދަވައިފިހިނދު، ފަހެ، އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން މެދުމިނު މީހުން ވެއެވެ. (އަދި ދެކޮޅުހަދާ މީހުންވެސް ވެއެވެ.) އަދި ކޮންމެ خيانة ތެރި كافر އަކު މެނުވީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތަކަށް ދެކޮޅެއް ނަހަދާނެތެވެ.
