يقين ކަން (އެބަހީ: މަރު) ތިމަންމެންނާ ހަމަޔަށް އަތުވެއްޖައުމަށް ދާނދެނެވެ.

and they overtook them at sunrise.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން (އެބަހީ: فرعون އާއި އޭނާގެ قوم ގެމީހުން) އަނެއްބައި މީހުންގެ ފަހަތުންގޮސް އަރައިހަމަކުރީ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައެވެ.

until the inevitable event overtook us.”
يقين ކަން (އެބަހީ: މަރު) ތިމަންމެންނާ ހަމަޔަށް އަތުވެއްޖައުމަށް ދާނދެނެވެ.

so the rumbling overtook them in the morning;
ފަހެ، ފަތިސްވަގުތު، ގަދަފަދަ އަޑު (އައިސް) އެއުރެން ހަލާކުކުރިއެވެ.

then the (awful) cry overtook them at the sunrise.
ފަހެ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައި ގަދަފަދައަޑު (އައިސް) އެއުރެން ހަލާކުކުރިއެވެ.

and certainly a lasting chastisement overtook them in the morning.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ފަތިހެއްގެ ފަތިސްވަގުތުގައި ދެމިހުންނަނިވި عذاب އައިސް އެއުރެންނަށް ޖެހުނެވެ.

and early in the morning the punishment decreed overtook them --
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ފަތިހެއްގެ ފަތިސްވަގުތުގައި ދެމިހުންނަނިވި عذاب އައިސް އެއުރެންނަށް ޖެހުނެވެ.

the evil they perpetrated overtook them, and what they mocked has turned upon them.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން عمل ކުޅަގޮތުގެ ނުބައި ޖަޒާތައް، އެއުރެންނަށް ޖެހުނެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން އެކަމަކަށް މަލާމާތްކޮށް އުޅުނު ކަންތައް އައިސް އެއުރެން ވަށައިލިއެވެ.

and thereupon the blast [of our punishment] overtook them at sunrise.
ފަހެ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައި ގަދަފަދައަޑު (އައިސް) އެއުރެން ހަލާކުކުރިއެވެ.

the evil consequences of their misdeeds overtook them and what they mocked at overwhelmed them.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން عمل ކުޅަގޮތުގެ ނުބައި ޖަޒާތައް، އެއުރެންނަށް ޖެހުނެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން އެކަމަކަށް މަލާމާތްކޮށް އުޅުނު ކަންތައް އައިސް އެއުރެން ވަށައިލިއެވެ.

so the rumbling overtook them (while) entering upon the time of sunrise;
ފަހެ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައި ގަދަފަދައަޑު (އައިސް) އެއުރެން ހަލާކުކުރިއެވެ.

and the shout overtook those who had done wrong; so they lay in their dwellings crouching
އަދި (ބިރުވެރި) އަޑުއައިސް އަނިޔާވެރިވި މީހުން ހަލާކުކުރިއެވެ. ދެން ހެނދުންވީއިރު، އެއުރެންގެ ގޯތިގެދޮރުގައި، އެއުރެން ތިބީ، ކަކޫ މައްޗަށް ތިރިވެ، މަރުވެފައެވެ.

and the blast overtook those who were wont to do wrong, and then they lay lifeless in their homes
އަދި (ބިރުވެރި) އަޑުއައިސް އަނިޔާވެރިވި މީހުން ހަލާކުކުރިއެވެ. ދެން ހެނދުންވީއިރު، އެއުރެންގެ ގޯތިގެދޮރުގައި، އެއުރެން ތިބީ، ކަކޫ މައްޗަށް ތިރިވެ، މަރުވެފައެވެ.

so the punishment overtook them. most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނަށް عذاب އައިސް ޖެހުނެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެކަންތަކުގައި (اللَّه ގެ ކުޅަދުންވަންތަކަމުގެ) ހެތްކެއްވާކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންކުރެ ގިނަމީހުން إيمان ވާ ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައި ނުވެތެވެ.

and already we overtook them with chastisement, but they were not submissive to their lord, nor do they humble themselves.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ عذاب ދެއްވައި އެއުރެން ހިއްޕެވީމެވެ. ދެންވެސް އެއުރެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް، އެއުރެން މަޑުމައިތިރިވެ، އަޅުކަންކޮށް دعاء ކޮށެއް ނަހަދަތެވެ.

and how many a town to which i gave respite while it was unjust, then i overtook it, and to me is the return.
އެ ރަށްތަކުގެ أهل ވެރިން އަނިޔާވެރިވެގެންވީ ހިނދު، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ مهلة ދެއްވީ ކިތައްކިތައް ރަށަށް ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ދެން އެ ރަށްތަކުގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް عقوبات ދެއްވައި ހިއްޕެވީމެވެ. އަދި (އެއުރެން) رجوع ވުންވަނީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة އަށެވެ.

and the evil consequences of their deeds overtook them. the wrongdoers among these will also be overtaken by the evil consequences of their deeds.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެންހޯދި ނުބައި عمل ތަކުގެ ޖަޒާ، އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް އައިސްޖެހުނެވެ. އަދި މިބައިމީހުންކުރެ (އެބަހީ: مكة ގެ مشرك ންކުރެ) އަނިޔާވެރިވިމީހުންހޯދި ނުބައި عمل ތަކުގެ ޖަޒާ ނިކަންހުރެ، އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް އައިސްޖެހޭނެއެވެ. އަދި (اللَّه) ނުކުޅައްދައި ރެކިގެން ދެވޭނޭބަޔަކު ކަމުގައި އެއުރެން ނުވެތެވެ.

and certainly there came to them an apostle from among them, but they rejected him, so the punishment overtook them while they were unjust.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެންގެތެރެއިން، رسول އަކު، އެއުރެންގެ ގާތަށް ވަޑައިގަތެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެން އެ رسول އާ ދޮގުކުޅައޫވެ. ދެން އެއުރެން އަނިޔާވެރިންކަމުގައިވާ حال، އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް عذاب އައެވެ.

and lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard).
ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނު (ނަވުގެ މީހުންނާއެކު) قرعة ލެއްވިއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނުވީ (قرعة ން) ދެރަވިމީހުންގެ ތެރެއިންނެވެ.

and as for thamud, we gave them guidance, but they preferred blindness to the guidance, so the bolt of the doom of humiliation overtook them because of what they used to earn.
އަދި ثمود ބާގައިމީހުން ދަންނާށެވެ! ފަހެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަށް ތެދުމަގު ދެއްކެވީމެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެން ތެދުމަގު ލިބުމުގެ ބަދަލުގައި، ކަނުކަން (އެބަހީ: މަގު ފުރެދުން) اختيار ކުރޫއެވެ. އެއުރެން ހޯދައިއުޅުނު عمل ތަކުގެ ސަބަބުން، އިހާނަތްތެރި عذاب ގެ ހޮނުގުގުރި އެއުރެންގައި ހިފިއެވެ.
