އަދި އެ ޖާދޫގަރުން سجدة އަށް ތިރިވެއްޖައޫއެވެ.

and the sorcerers fell down prostrate.
އަދި އެ ޖާދޫގަރުން سجدة އަށް ތިރިވެއްޖައޫއެވެ.

but the sorcerers fell down prostrate in adoration.
އަދި އެ ޖާދޫގަރުން سجدة އަށް ތިރިވެއްޖައޫއެވެ.

and the sorcerers were cast down, bowing themselves.
އަދި އެ ޖާދޫގަރުން سجدة އަށް ތިރިވެއްޖައޫއެވެ.

then did the sorcerers fall down, prostrate in adoration,
ފަހެ، އެ ޖާދޫގަރުން سجدة އަށް ތިރިވެއްޖައޫއެވެ.

the sorcerers were gathered at the appointed time on a wellknown day,
ފަހެ، އެނގިގެންވާ ދުވަހެއްގެ ކަނޑައެޅިގެންވާ وقت އަކަށް ޖާދޫގަރުން އެއްކޮށްފިއެވެ.

"that they bring up to you all well-versed sorcerers."
އޭރުން، އެއުރެން (ގޮސް) މޮޅަށް ދަންނަ ހުރިހާ ޖާދޫގަރުން ކަލޭގެގާތަށް ގެނެސް ދޭނެއެވެ.

and bring up to thee all (our) sorcerers well-versed."
އޭރުން، އެއުރެން (ގޮސް) މޮޅަށް ދަންނަ ހުރިހާ ޖާދޫގަރުން ކަލޭގެގާތަށް ގެނެސް ދޭނެއެވެ.

"that we may follow the sorcerers (in religion) if they win?"
އެ ޖާދޫގަރުންނަކީ، ގަދަވިމީހުން ކަމުގައި ވެއްޖެނަމަ، އަހުރެމެން އެއުރެންނަށް تبع ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

"and bring up to thee all (our) sorcerers well-versed."
އޭރުން އެއުރެން (ގޮސް) މޮޅަށްދަންނަ ހުރިހާ ބޮޑެތި ޖާދޫގަރުން ކަލޭގެ ގާތަށް ގެނެސްދޭނެތެވެ.

haply we shall follow the sorcerers if it should be they are the victors.'
އެ ޖާދޫގަރުންނަކީ، ގަދަވިމީހުން ކަމުގައި ވެއްޖެނަމަ، އަހުރެމެން އެއުރެންނަށް تبع ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and when the sorcerers came moses said to them: 'cast whatever you wish to cast.'
ފަހެ، އެ ޖާދޫގަރުން އައިހިނދު އެއުރެންނަށް موسى ގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުން (ޖާދޫގެގޮތުން) އުކަންހުރި ތަކެތި އުކާށެވެ!

then, when the sorcerers came, moses said to them, 'cast you down what you will cast.'
ފަހެ، އެ ޖާދޫގަރުން އައިހިނދު އެއުރެންނަށް موسى ގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުން (ޖާދޫގެގޮތުން) އުކަންހުރި ތަކެތި އުކާށެވެ!

and when the sorcerers came, moses said to them, “throw whatever you have to throw.”
ފަހެ، އެ ޖާދޫގަރުން އައިހިނދު އެއުރެންނަށް موسى ގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުން (ޖާދޫގެގޮތުން) އުކަންހުރި ތަކެތި އުކާށެވެ!

the sorcerers came to pharaoh. they said: 'shall we be rewarded if we are the winners'
فرعون ގެ ގާތަށް ޖާދޫގަރުން އަތުވެއްޖެއެވެ. އެއުރެން ބުނޫއެވެ. ތިމަންމެން މޮޅުވެއްޖެނަމަ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންމެންނަށް އުޖޫރައެއް އޮންނަންވާނެއެވެ.

then, when the sorcerers came to pharaoh, they said: 'shall we receive a wage if we win'
ފަހެ، އެ ޖާދޫގަރުން އައިހިނދު، އެއުރެން فرعون އަށް ބުނޫއެވެ. ތިމަންމެން މޮޅުވެއްޖެނަމަ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންމެންނަށް އުޖޫރައެއް އޮންނާނެ ހެއްޔެވެ؟

and when the sorcerers came, musa (moses) said to them: "cast down what you want to cast!"
ފަހެ، އެ ޖާދޫގަރުން އައިހިނދު އެއުރެންނަށް موسى ގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުން (ޖާދޫގެގޮތުން) އުކަންހުރި ތަކެތި އުކާށެވެ!

and the sorcerers came to pharaoh, saying, 'we shall surely have a wage, if we should be the victors?'
فرعون ގެ ގާތަށް ޖާދޫގަރުން އަތުވެއްޖެއެވެ. އެއުރެން ބުނޫއެވެ. ތިމަންމެން މޮޅުވެއްޖެނަމަ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންމެންނަށް އުޖޫރައެއް އޮންނަންވާނެއެވެ.

saying, 'these two men are sorcerers and their purpose is to expel you out of your land by their sorcery, and to extirpate your justest way.
އެއުރެން ބުނެފޫއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، މިއީ ދެ ޖާދޫގަރުންކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ. އެ ދެމީހުން އެދެނީ، އެ ދެމީހުންގެ ޖާދޫގެބާރުން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ބިމުން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނެެރެލުމަށެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ދެވަނައެއްނެތް މޮޅު دين އާއި ގޮތް، ނެތިކޮށްލުމަށެވެ.

and the sorcerers cast themselves down prostrating. 'we believe,' they said, 'in the lord of aaron and moses.'
ފަހެ، ޖާދޫގަރުން سجدة އަށް ތިރިވޫއެވެ. އެއުރެން ބުނޫއެވެ. هارون ގެފާނާއި، موسى ގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް ތިމަންމެން إيمان ވެއްޖައީމުއެވެ.
