“throw into hell every stubborn disbeliever.
(އެ ދެ ملائكة ންނަށް އަންގަވާނެތެވެ.) حق އާދެކޮޅުހަދާ، ގޮތްދޫނުކުރާ ކޮންމެ كافر އަކު ނަރަކަޔަށް އެއްލަވާށެވެ!

and were stubborn upon the great sin (of disbelief).
އަދި ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ ފާފަވެރިކަމުގެ މަތީގައި ދެމިތިބޭ ބަޔަކުކަމުގައި އެއުރެންވޫއެވެ.

nay, but the unbelievers are steeped in arrogance and stubborn defiance.
އަދި ކިއެއްތަ! كافر ވި މީހުންވަނީ ބޮޑާކަމާއި، ދެކޮޅުވެރިކަމެއްގައެވެ.

"cast each stubborn unbeliever into hell," (they will be told),
(އެ ދެ ملائكة ންނަށް އަންގަވާނެތެވެ.) حق އާދެކޮޅުހަދާ، ގޮތްދޫނުކުރާ ކޮންމެ كافر އަކު ނަރަކަޔަށް އެއްލަވާށެވެ!

and they prayed for victory, and every stubborn tyrant came to disappointment.
އަދި އެބޭކަލުން نصر އަށް އެދި ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. އަދި ހަރުކަށި، ކޮންމެ جبّار އަކު ގެއްލި ހަލާކުވިއެވެ.

the command was given: “cast into hell every hardened, stubborn unbeliever,
(އެ ދެ ملائكة ންނަށް އަންގަވާނެތެވެ.) حق އާދެކޮޅުހަދާ، ގޮތްދޫނުކުރާ ކޮންމެ كافر އަކު ނަރަކަޔަށް އެއްލަވާށެވެ!

then we shall pluck out from every sect whichever of them was most stubborn in rebellion to the beneficent.
ދެން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ކޮންމެ ބަޔެއްގެ ތެރެއިންވެސް އެއުރެންކުރެ رحمن ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް އެންމެ ދެކޮޅުވެރިކަން ބޮޑު މީހުން ވަކިކޮށް ނެރުއްވާހުށީމެވެ.

then we shall carry off from every group those who were most stubborn in their opposition to the gracious one,
ދެން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ކޮންމެ ބަޔެއްގެ ތެރެއިންވެސް އެއުރެންކުރެ رحمن ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް އެންމެ ދެކޮޅުވެރިކަން ބޮޑު މީހުން ވަކިކޮށް ނެރުއްވާހުށީމެވެ.

now we have made it easy by thy tongue that thou mayest bear good tidings thereby to the godfearing, and warn a people stubborn.
ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، ކަލޭގެފާނު ވާހަކަދައްކަވާ ބަހުން އެ قرآن ފަސޭހަކޮށްދެއްވީ، ކަލޭގެފާނު އެ ފޮތުން تقوى ވެރިންނަށް އުފާވެރިކަމުގެ خبر ދެއްވުމަށާއި، ދެކޮޅުވެރިވެގެންވާ މީހުންނަށް އެއިން إنذار ކުރެއްވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

it will be said to the angels, “both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.”
(އެ ދެ ملائكة ންނަށް އަންގަވާނެތެވެ.) حق އާދެކޮޅުހަދާ، ގޮތްދޫނުކުރާ ކޮންމެ كافر އަކު ނަރަކަޔަށް އެއްލަވާށެވެ!

that was aad; they denied the signs of their lord, and defied his messengers, and followed the lead of every stubborn tyrant.
އެއީ عاد ބާގައިމީހުންނެވެ. އެއުރެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތަކަށް އެއުރެން ދެކޮޅުހެދޫއެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ رسول ންނަށް އެއުރެން އުރެދުނޫއެވެ. އަދި ހަރުކަށި، ކޮންމެ جبّار (އަނިޔާވެރި) އެއްގެ أمر އަށް، އެއުރެން تبع ވޫއެވެ.

and some men there are whose saying upon the present world pleases thee, and such a one calls on god to witness what is in his heart, yet he is most stubborn in altercation,
دنيوى حياة އާމެދު އެމީހަކު ބުނާ ބަހުން ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ހިތްޕުޅު ރުއްސާލައި، އަދި އޭނާގެ ހިތުގައިވާ ގޮތުގެ މައްޗަށް اللَّه ހެކިކޮށް ބުނާ މީހުން މީސްތަކުންގެ ތެރެއިން ވެއެވެ. އެހިނދު އެމީހާ ވަނީ، ދެކޮޅުވެރިކަން އެންމެ ބޮޑު މީހާ ކަމުގައެވެ.

and these are the a’ad – they denied the signs of their lord and disobeyed his noble messengers and followed the commands of every stubborn disobedient.
އެއީ عاد ބާގައިމީހުންނެވެ. އެއުރެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތަކަށް އެއުރެން ދެކޮޅުހެދޫއެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ رسول ންނަށް އެއުރެން އުރެދުނޫއެވެ. އަދި ހަރުކަށި، ކޮންމެ جبّار (އަނިޔާވެރި) އެއްގެ أمر އަށް، އެއުރެން تبع ވޫއެވެ.

the desert arabs are more stubborn in their denial of truth and hypocrisy, and are the least likely to be aware of the limits which god has revealed to his messenger. god is all knowing and wise.
كافر ކަމާއި، منافق ކަމުގައި أعرابى ން މާހަރުކަށިކަން ބޮޑެވެ. އަދި اللَّه، އެކަލާނގެ رسول އާއަށް ބާވައިލެއްވި ތަކެތީގެ އިންތައް ނޭނގުން أولى ކަން ބޮޑެވެ. اللَّه އީ، މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ، حكيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

who hears the verses of allah which are recited to him, then remains stubborn, proud, as if he did not hear them; therefore give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment.
اللَّه ގެ آية ތައް އެމީހަކަށް ކިޔައިދެވޭ އަޑުއަހައިމެ، ދެން އޭގެ އަޑު ނާހާފަދައިން ބޮޑާވެގަތުމާއެކު (كافر ކަންމަތީ ދެމިހުރުމަށް) ގަދަހަދާ މީހާޔަށް ވޭންދެނިވި عذاب ހުރިކަމުގެ خبر، ކަލޭގެފާނު ދެއްވާށެވެ!

the bedouins are more stubborn in unbelief and hypocrisy, and apter not to know the bounds of what god has sent down on his messenger; and god is all-knowing, all-wise.
كافر ކަމާއި، منافق ކަމުގައި أعرابى ން މާހަރުކަށިކަން ބޮޑެވެ. އަދި اللَّه، އެކަލާނގެ رسول އާއަށް ބާވައިލެއްވި ތަކެތީގެ އިންތައް ނޭނގުން أولى ކަން ބޮޑެވެ. اللَّه އީ، މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ، حكيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

(and it will be said): "both of you throw (order from allah to the two angels) into hell, every stubborn disbeliever (in the oneness of allah, in his messengers, etc.).
(އެ ދެ ملائكة ންނަށް އަންގަވާނެތެވެ.) حق އާދެކޮޅުހަދާ، ގޮތްދޫނުކުރާ ކޮންމެ كافر އަކު ނަރަކަޔަށް އެއްލަވާށެވެ!
