threw themselves down in prostration
އަދި އެ ޖާދޫގަރުން سجدة އަށް ތިރިވެއްޖައޫއެވެ.

all the angels prostrated themselves,
ފަހެ، ملائكة ން އެ އެންމެން އެކުގައި سجدة ކުރައްވައިފޫއެވެ.

all the angel then prostrated themselves
ފަހެ، ملائكة ން، އެ އެންމެން އެކުގައި سجدة ކުރައްވައިފޫއެވެ.

and amuse themselves with vain argumentation.
އެއުރެންނީ ހަމަ باطل ވާހަކައިގައި ކުޅެކުޅެތިބޭ މީހުންނެވެ.

disputing among themselves they will say:
އެއުރެން އެ ނަރަކައިގައި އަރާރުންވާ حال ބުނާނެތެވެ.

then the magicians flung themselves prostrate.
ފަހެ، އެ ޖާދޫގަރުން سجدة އަށް ތިރިވެއްޖައޫއެވެ.

but they are in doubt, amusing themselves.
އަދި ކިއެއްތަ! އެއުރެން شك ކަމެއްގައި ކުޅެކުޅެ ތިބެތެވެ.

and can neither help them, nor help themselves?
އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް އެއްވެސް نصر އެއް ދިނުމަކަށް އެތަކެއްޗަކަށް ކުޅަދާނަވެގެނެއް ނުވެތެވެ. އަދި އެތަކެތީގެ އަމިއްލަ ޒާތަށްވެސް، نصر އެއް ނުދެވޭނޭމެއެވެ.

and the sorcerers were cast down, bowing themselves.
އަދި އެ ޖާދޫގަރުން سجدة އަށް ތިރިވެއްޖައޫއެވެ.

and see thou: they themselves shall presently see.
އަދި ކަލޭގެފާނު (އެއުރެންނަށްވާގޮތް) ދެކެވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ! ފަހެ، ނިކަންހުރެ އެއުރެން ދެކޭނޭމެއެވެ.

neither be given leave, and excuse themselves.
އަދި އެއުރެން عذر ދެއްކުމަކަށް، އެއުރެންނަކަށް إذن އެއް ނުމެދެއްވާނޭމެއެވެ.

and cannot give them help, nor can they help themselves?
އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް އެއްވެސް نصر އެއް ދިނުމަކަށް އެތަކެއްޗަކަށް ކުޅަދާނަވެގެނެއް ނުވެތެވެ. އަދި އެތަކެތީގެ އަމިއްލަ ޒާތަށްވެސް، نصر އެއް ނުދެވޭނޭމެއެވެ.

so the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together.
ފަހެ، ملائكة ން އެ އެންމެން އެކުގައި سجدة ކުރައްވައިފޫއެވެ.

lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves,
ދެން އެމީހަކު އެތާނގައި މަރެއްވެސް ނުވާނެއެވެ. އަދި (އަރާމުހުރި ދިރުމަކުން) ނުވެސް ދިރޭނޭމެއެވެ.

"'besides allah? can they help you or help themselves?'
އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް އަންގަވާނެތެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުން، اللّّه ފިޔަވައި އަޅުކަން ކޮށްއުޅުނު ތަކެތި ކޮބައިހެއްޔެވެ؟ އެތަކެތި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް نصر ދޭހެއްޔެވެ؟ ނުވަތަ އެތަކެއްޗަށް نصر ލިބޭހެއްޔެވެ؟

so leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile.
ފަހެ، كافر ންނަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު مهلة އެއް ދެއްވާށެވެ! ކުޑަހިނދުކޮޅަކަށް އެއުރެންނަށް ލަސްކޮށްލައްވާށެވެ!

and they went early in determination, [assuming themselves] able.
އަދި فقير ންނަށް ނުދިނުމަށް ކުޅަދާނަކަން ލިބިގެންވާކަމަށްހީކޮށް، އެކަމުގެ قصد ގައި ހެނދުނާ އެއުރެން ދިޔައޫއެވެ.

by those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks
ފަހެ، އެކަލާނގެ يدقدرة ފުޅުގައި އެންމެހާ ކަންތަކުގެ އެންމެމަތީ ވެރިކަންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެ ހުސްطاهر ވަންތަކަމާއެވެ! އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން رجوع ކުރައްވާހުށީ އެކަލާނގެ حضرة އަށެވެ.

and those who, when great wrong afflicts them, defend themselves.
އަދި އެއުރެންނީ، އެއުރެންނަށް އަނިޔާވެރިވުމެއް އަންނަހިނދު، نصر ލިބިގަންނަ މީހުންނެވެ.

those whom you invoke besides him can neither help you, nor help themselves.
އަދި އެކަލާނގެ ފިޔަވައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އަޅުކަންކޮށް އުޅޭ ފަރާތްތަކަށް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް نصر ދިނުމަކަށް ކުޅަދާނަވެގެނެއް ނުވެތެވެ. އަދި އެފަރާތްތަކުގެ އަމިއްލަ نفس ތަކަށްވެސް نصر އެއް ނުދެވޭނެތެވެ.
