una dig qaraabadaada kuu sii dhaw.

by oath of the beloved shining star mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him), when he returned from the ascent.
wuxuu ku dhaartay (eebe) xiddiggu markuu hoobto.

proclaim, (o dear prophet mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “o disbelievers!”
waxaad dhahdaa, gaalooy.

we shall now make you read (o dear prophet mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget.
waxaan kuu akhriyaynaa quraanka halmaaminamaysid.

did the news of ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (o dear prophet mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)?
ma ku soo gaadhay warkii martidii (nabi) ibraahiim ee sharafta lahayd.

and we have not sent you (o dear prophet mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) except as a herald of glad tidings and warnings.
maa naan kuu dirin inaad bishaareeye dige ah (noqoto mooyee).

and indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (prophet mohammed saw angel jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them).
horaybuuna ugn arkay jibriil jahadii caddayd (bariga maka).

except the mercy of your lord; indeed his munificence upon you (o dear prophet mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is extremely great.
naxariista eebahaa mooyee illeen fadligiisu korkaaga waa ku wayn yahaye.

and do not grieve at their speech (o dear prophet mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him); indeed all honour is for allah and he is the all hearing, the all knowing.
yuuna ku walbahaarin hadalkoodu cisi dhamaantiis eebaa iska leh, waana maqle oge.

proclaim (o dear prophet mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “it is he who created you, and made ears and eyes and hearts for you; very little thanks do you offer!”
dheh nabiyow eebe waa midka dadkow idin ahaysiiyey, maqal iyo arag iyo caqlina idiin yeelay, wax yar baadse eebe ku shukridaan.
