nay! but you love the present life,
saas ma aha ee waxaad jeceshihiin dadow tan soo dagdagaysa (adduunyada).

and you love wealth with exceeding love.
xoolahana waxaad u jeceshihiin si daran.

always fight for the things you love

no! indeed, you love this transitory life
saas ma aha ee waxaad jeceshihiin dadow tan soo dagdagaysa (adduunyada).

no indeed; but you love the hasty world,
saas ma aha ee waxaad jeceshihiin dadow tan soo dagdagaysa (adduunyada).

none except you, o disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one.
saas ma aha ee waxaad jeceshihiin dadow tan soo dagdagaysa (adduunyada).

and other things you love, help from god and a nigh victory. give thou good tidings to the believers!
arrin kale ood jeceshihiinna (wuu idiin siin) waa gargaarka eebe iyo fatxi (guul) dhaw, kuwa xaqa rumeeyeyna u bishaaree.

and something else you love: support from god, and imminent victory. so give good news to the believers.
arrin kale ood jeceshihiinna (wuu idiin siin) waa gargaarka eebe iyo fatxi (guul) dhaw, kuwa xaqa rumeeyeyna u bishaaree.

say, “if you love god, then follow me, and god will love you, and will forgive you your sins.” god is forgiving and merciful.
waxaad dhahdaa haddaad tihiin kuwo jeeel eebe i raaca haydin jeelaado eeebee hana idiin dhaafo dambigiinee, eebana wa dambi dhaafe naxariista.

nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily,
saas ma aha ee waxaad jeceshihiin dadow tan soo dagdagaysa (adduunyada).

indeed it is not such that you can guide whomever you love, but allah guides whomever he wills; and he well knows the people upon guidance.
adugu ma hanuunisid ciddaad jeceshahay laakiin eebaa hanuuniya cidduu doono isagaana og kuwa hanuunsan.

(muhammad), you cannot guide whomever you love, but god guides whomever he wants and knows best those who seek guidance.

arrin kale ood jeceshihiinna (wuu idiin siin) waa gargaarka eebe iyo fatxi (guul) dhaw, kuwa xaqa rumeeyeyna u bishaaree.

and one of his signs is that he created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest in them, and he put between you love and compassion; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect.
waxaa ka mid ah calaamooyinkiisa inuu idiinka abuuray naftiina haween si aad isugu xasishaan, yeelayna dhexdiina isjacayl iyo naxariis, taasina waxaa ugu sugan calaamad qoomkii fikiri.

and of his signs is that he created for you, of yourselves, spouses, that you might repose in them, and he has set between you love and mercy. surely in that are signs for a people who consider.
waxaa ka mid ah calaamooyinkiisa inuu idiinka abuuray naftiina haween si aad isugu xasishaan, yeelayna dhexdiina isjacayl iyo naxariis, taasina waxaa ugu sugan calaamad qoomkii fikiri.

(muhammad), tell them, "if you love god, follow me. god will love you and forgive your sins. god is all-forgiving and all-merciful."
