na kaumu ngapi tuliziangamiza zilizo kuwa na mapambo mazuri zaidi na wazuri zaidi kwa kuwatazama!

have we not shown him the ways of good and evil?
na tukambainishia zote njia mbili?

and showed him two highways (of good and evil)?
na tukambainishia zote njia mbili?

and guided him on the two paths (of good and evil)?
na tukambainishia zote njia mbili?

and did we not show him the two highroads (of good and evil)?
na tukambainishia zote njia mbili?

and allah knows best what they gather (of good and bad deeds),
na mwenyezi mungu anajua wanayo yadhamiria.

then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind.
siku hiyo ataambiwa aliyo yatanguliza na aliyo yaakhirisha.

and had i knowledge of the unseen, i should have amassed all kinds of good, and no evil would have ever touched me.
na lau kuwa ninayajua ya ghaibu ninge jizidishia mema mengi, wala ovu lisinge nigusa.

(then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil).
kila nafsi itajua ilicho kihudhurisha.

and who is better in religion than one who submits himself to allah while being a doer of good and follows the religion of abraham, inclining toward truth?
na nani aliye bora kwa dini kuliko yule aliye usilimisha uso wake kwa mwenyezi mungu, naye akawa mwema, na anafuata mila ya ibrahim mwongofu?

and who is better in religion than he who submits himself wholly to god, and is a doer of good, and follows the faith of abraham the monotheist?
na nani aliye bora kwa dini kuliko yule aliye usilimisha uso wake kwa mwenyezi mungu, naye akawa mwema, na anafuata mila ya ibrahim mwongofu?

that land where i lived all my life, with its share of good and bad, and which holds my family and friends is more dear to me than all the world's lands.
nchi ile nilikokulia na kuishi maisha yangu yote, pamoja na uzuri na ubaya wake, na ambayo imewabeba ndugu na marafiki zangu kwa kweli ni kipenzi changu kuliko nchi na ardhi nyingine zote duniani.

hasten to us qittana (i.e. our record of good and bad deeds so that we see it) before the day of reckoning!"
tuletee upesi sehemu yetu ya adhabu kabla ya siku ya hisabu.

(and remember) the day when we shall call together all human beings with their (respective) imam [their prophets, or their records of good and bad deeds, or their holy books like the quran, the taurat (torah), the injeel (gospel), etc.]. so whosoever is given his record in his right hand, such will read their records, and they will not be dealt with unjustly in the least.
