and o my people, how is it that i invite you to salvation while you invite me to the fire?
na enyi watu wangu! kwa nini mimi nakuiteni kwenye uwokofu, nanyi mnaniita kwenye moto?

the idols to which you invite me certainly have no claim to be deities in this world or in the life to come.
bila ya shaka mnaye niitia kumuabudu hastahiki wito duniani wala akhera. na hakika marejeo yetu ni kwa mwenyezi mungu.

o my people, what is wrong with me that i am calling you to preservation, while you invite me to the fire!
na enyi watu wangu! kwa nini mimi nakuiteni kwenye uwokofu, nanyi mnaniita kwenye moto?

(joseph) prayed: "o lord, dearer is prison than what they invite me to.
yusuf akasema: ee mola mlezi wangu! nastahabu kifungo kuliko haya anayo niitia.

[think,] what makes me invite you to deliverance, while you invite me toward the fire?
kwa nini mimi nakuiteni kwenye uwokofu, nanyi mnaniita kwenye moto?

and he said to the one he thought would be released, “mention me to your master.”
na akamwambia yule aliye jua kuwa atavuka katika wale wawili: nikumbuke kwa bwana wako.

undoubtedly, that to which you invite me has no invitation in the world nor in the hereafter, and indeed our return will be to allah, and indeed it is the transgressors who will be inmates of the fire.
bila ya shaka mnaye niitia kumuabudu hastahiki wito duniani wala akhera. na hakika marejeo yetu ni kwa mwenyezi mungu.

prison is dearer to me than the deed they invite me to; and if you do not repel their deceit away from me, i may incline towards them and be unwise.”
nastahabu kifungo kuliko haya anayo niitia. na usipo niondoshea vitimbi vya wanawake mimi nitamili kwao, na nitakuwa katika wajinga.

then he said to the one whom he knew would be delivered from among the two: ‘mention me to your master.’
na akamwambia yule aliye jua kuwa atavuka katika wale wawili: nikumbuke kwa bwana wako.

assuredly, that to which you invite me has no [response to a] supplication in this world or in the hereafter; and indeed, our return is to allah, and indeed, the transgressors will be companions of the fire.
bila ya shaka mnaye niitia kumuabudu hastahiki wito duniani wala akhera. na hakika marejeo yetu ni kwa mwenyezi mungu.

"you invite me to disbelieve in allah (and in his oneness), and to join partners in worship with him; of which i have no knowledge, and i invite you to the all-mighty, the oft-forgiving!
mnaniita nimkufuru mwenyezi mungu na nimshirikishe na yule ambaye simjui, nami nakuiteni kwa mwenye nguvu mwenye kusamehe?
