in spite of all the excuses he may offer.
ҳарчанд ба забон узрҳо оварад.

so glorify him in a manner worthy of his glory.
Пас Ӯро такбир гӯй, такбире шоиста!

but he fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of his spirit.
Он гоҳ, аъзои ӯ рост кард ва аз рӯҳи худ дар он бидамид.

and they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive,
Ва таъомро дар ҳоле, худ дӯсташ доранд, ба мискину ятим ва асир мехӯронанд,

yet, in spite of that, they turn their backs; and certainly they will not believe.
Сипас аз ҳукми ту рӯйгардон мешаванд ва онҳо имон наёвардаанд.

yet in spite of that, they turn their backs [on him] and they are not believers.
Сипас аз ҳукми ту рӯйгардон мешаванд ва онҳо имон наёвардаанд.

and yet in spite of having seen these clear proofs they found it proper to incarcerate him for a time.
Пас бо он нишонаҳо, ки дида буданд, тасмим карданд, ки чанде ба зиндонаш бияфкананд.

then allah sent a raven scratching in the earth to show him in what wise he might cover the corpse of his brother.
Худо зоғеро фиристод то заминро бикобад ва ба ӯ биёмузад, ки чӣ гуна ҷасади бародари худ пинҳон созад.

but (in spite of this assurance) when they were enjoined to fight, they all, except a few of them, turned their backs.
Ва чун ҷанг бар онҳо муқаррар шуд, ҷуз андаке аз он рӯй бартофтанд.

that (is the command). and whoso magnifieth the sacred things of allah, it will be well for him in the sight of his lord.
Ҳамчунин ҳар кас даст аз ҳаром бидорад, дар назди Парвардигораш барояш беҳтар аст.

saying! cast him in the ark, and cast him into the river, and the river will throw him on the bank, and then an enemy of mine and an enemy of his will take him up.
ки ӯро дар сандуқе андоз, сандуқро ба дарё парто, то дарё ба соҳилаш андозад ва яке аз душманони Ман ва душманони ӯ сандуқро бигирад.

and when harm toucheth men they cry unto their lord, turning to him in repentance; then, when they have tasted of his mercy, behold! some of them attribute partners to their lord
Чун бар одамиён зиёне расад, Парвардигорашонро бихонанд ва ба даргоҳи Ӯ тавба кунанд ва чун раҳмати худ ба онҳо бичашонад, гурӯҳеро бинӣ, ки ба Парвардигорашон ширк меоваранд.

`put him in the chest; then cast him into the river. the river will wash him to shore, where an enemy of mine and an enemy of his will pick him up.
ки ӯро дар сандуқе андоз, сандуқро ба дарё парто, то дарё ба соҳилаш андозад ва яке аз душманони Ман ва душманони ӯ сандуқро бигирад.

'put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. the river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of mine and an enemy of his will take him.'
ки ӯро дар сандуқе андоз, сандуқро ба дарё парто, то дарё ба соҳилаш андозад ва яке аз душманони Ман ва душманони ӯ сандуқро бигирад.

yet they attribute to some of his servants a share with him (in his godhead)! truly is man a blasphemous ingrate avowed!
Ва барон Ӯ аз миёни бандагонаш фарзанде қоил шуданд. Одамӣ ба ошкоро носипос (ношукр) аст!

saying: "put him in the box and cast it into the river. the river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of mine and an enemy of his."
ки ӯро дар сандуқе андоз, сандуқро ба дарё парто, то дарё ба соҳилаш андозад ва яке аз душманони Ман ва душманони ӯ сандуқро бигирад.

(in spite of such clear signs of the oneness of allah), there are people who set up equals and rivals with allah and adore them with the adoration due to allah. whereas the believers adore allah most ardently.
Баъзе аз мардум Худоро шариконе ихтиёр мекунанд ва онҳоро чунон дӯст медоранд, ки гӯё Худоянд. Вале онон, ки имон овардаанд, Худоро бештар дӯст медоранд.

and when harm touches men, they cry sincerely only to their lord (allah), turning to him in repentance, but when he gives them a taste of his mercy, behold! a party of them associate partners in worship with their lord.
Чун бар одамиён зиёне расад, Парвардигорашонро бихонанд ва ба даргоҳи Ӯ тавба кунанд ва чун раҳмати худ ба онҳо бичашонад, гурӯҳеро бинӣ, ки ба Парвардигорашон ширк меоваранд.

but in spite of this warning, those people used to learn from the angels the art which caused division between husband and wife. although it was obvious that they could not do any harm to anyone by means of this magic without allah's permission, yet they learnt that art which could not be profitable even for them but was actually harmful.
Ва мардум аз он ду ҷодуҳе меомӯхтанд, ки метавонистанд миёни зану шӯй ҷудоӣ афкананд ва онон ҷуз ба фармони Худо ба касе зиёне намерасониданд ва он чӣ мардум меомӯхтанд, ба онҳо зиён мерасонид, на суд.

so it is; and whoever reveres the sacred things of allah – that is then a goodness for him in the sight of his lord; the inarticulate animals are lawful to you except those the forbidding of which is recited to you, therefore shun the filth of idols, and avoid false speech.
Ҳамчунин ҳар кас даст аз ҳаром бидорад, дар назди Парвардигораш барояш беҳтар аст. Ва чорпоён бар шумо ҳалоланд, ғайри онҳое, ки бароятон хонда шуда.
