and lut believed in him, and he said: i am fleeing to my lord, surely he is the mighty, the wise.
Лут ба Ӯ имон овард ва гуфт: «Ман ба сӯи Парвардигорам муҳоҷират (тарки ватан) мекунам, зеро Ӯ пирӯзманду ҳаким аст!»

it was said to him: "enter paradise;" and he said: "if only my people knew
Гуфт: «Эй кош, қавми ман медонистанд,

we sent abraham and he said to his people: “serve allah and fear him.
Ва низ Иброҳимро ба паёмбарӣ фиристодем, он гоҳ ки ба мардумаш гуфт: «Худои якторо бипарастед ва аз Ӯ битарсед.

and lut believed in him. and he said: verily i am going to migrate to my lord; verily he is the mighty, the wise.
Лут ба Ӯ имон овард ва гуфт: «Ман ба сӯи Парвардигорам муҳоҷират (тарки ватан) мекунам, зеро Ӯ пирӯзманду ҳаким аст!»

it was said (to him): 'enter paradise' and he said: 'would that my people knew
Гуфта шуд: «Ба биҳишт дарой!» Гуфт: «Эй кош, қавми ман медонистанд,

but lot believed him; and he said, 'i will flee to my lord; he is the all-mighty, the all-wise.'
Лут ба Ӯ имон овард ва гуфт: «Ман ба сӯи Парвардигорам муҳоҷират (тарки ватан) мекунам, зеро Ӯ пирӯзманду ҳаким аст!»

and he said to one of them who he imagined would be saved: mention me in the presence of thy lord.
Ба яке аз он ду, ки медоннст, раҳо мешавад, гуфт: «Маро назди хоҷаи худ ёд кун!»

allah has cursed him; and he said: most certainly i will take of thy servants an appointed portion:
Худояш лаънат кард. Ва шайтон гуфт: «Гурӯҳе муайян аз бандагонатро ба фармони хеш мегирам.

or were you witnesses when death approached jacob, and he said to his sons, “what will you worship after me?”
Оё шумо ҳозир будед, он гоҳ, ки марги Яъқуб фаро расид ва ба фарзандонаш гуфт: «Пас аз ман чӣ чизро мепарастед?»

we sent lot to his people and he said to them, "indeed you commit obscenity such as no people before you have ever committed.
Ва Лутро паёмбарӣ додем. Ба қавми худ гуфт: «Шумо коре зиштро пеша кардаед, ки ҳеҷ як аз мардуми ҷаҳон пеш аз шумо чунин намекардааст.

and he said to his servants: put their money into their bags that they may recognize it when they go back to their family, so that they may come back.
Ва ба мардони худ гуфт: «Сармояашонро дар борҳояшон биниҳед, бошад, ки чун назди касонашон бозгарданд ва онро биёбанд, боз оянд».

then he turned to the heaven, and it was smoke, and he said to it and to the earth, ‘come, willingly or unwillingly!’
Сипас ба осмон пардохт ва он дуде буд. Пас ба осмону замин гуфт: «Хоҳ ё нохоҳ биёед».

thereupon lot believed in him, and he said, ‘indeed i am migrating toward my lord. indeed he is the all-mighty, the all-wise.’
Лут ба Ӯ имон овард ва гуфт: «Ман ба сӯи Парвардигорам муҳоҷират (тарки ватан) мекунам, зеро Ӯ пирӯзманду ҳаким аст!»

and he possessed much wealth; so he said to his companion, while he disputed with him: i have greater wealth than you, and am mightier in followers.
Ҳосил аз они ӯ буд. Ба дӯсташ, ки бо ӯ гуфтугӯ мекард, гуфт; «Ман ба мол аз ту бештар ва ба нафар пирӯзтарам».

and he said to his pages: place their goods in their packs, haply they will recognize them when they reach back to their household: haply they will return.
Ва ба мардони худ гуфт: «Сармояашонро дар борҳояшон биниҳед, бошад, ки чун назди касонашон бозгарданд ва онро биёбанд, боз оянд».

indeed, the example of jesus to allah is like that of adam. he created him from dust; then he said to him, "be," and he was.
Мисоли Исо дар назди Худо чун мисоли Одам аст, ки ӯро аз хок биёфарид ва ба ӯ гуфт: «Мавҷуд шав». Пас мавҷуд шуд.

so the owner had fruit in abundance and he said to his neighbour, while conversing with him: "i have greater wealth than you and i am stronger than you in numbers."
Ҳосил аз они ӯ буд. Ба дӯсташ, ки бо ӯ гуфтугӯ мекард, гуфт; «Ман ба мол аз ту бештар ва ба нафар пирӯзтарам».

and he had fruit, so he said to his companion while he was conversing with him, "i am greater than you in wealth and mightier in [numbers of] men."
Ҳосил аз они ӯ буд. Ба дӯсташ, ки бо ӯ гуфтугӯ мекард, гуфт; «Ман ба мол аз ту бештар ва ба нафар пирӯзтарам».

and remember when we sent lot [as a messeng to his people and he said to them: 'do you realize you practise an indecency of which no other people in the world were guilty of before you?
Ва Лутро фиристодем. Он гоҳ ба қавми худ гуфт: «Чаро коре зишт мекунед, ки ҳеҷ кас аз мардуми Ҷаҳон пеш аз шумо накардааст?

and he said to the one of the two who he knew would be saved: 'mention me in the presence of your lord' but satan made him forget to mention him to his master, so that he remained in prison for a certain number years.
Ба яке аз он ду, ки медоннст, раҳо мешавад, гуфт: «Маро назди хоҷаи худ ёд кун!» Аммо шайтон аз хотираш дур кард, ки пеши мавлояш аз ӯ ёд кунад ва чанд сол дар зиндон бимонд.
