and we sent not a prophet to any township but we laid hold of the people thereof with tribulation and distress that haply they may humble themselves.
Ва мо ҳеҷ паёмбареро ба ҳеҷ деҳае нафиристодем, магар он ки сокинонашро ба сахтиву беморӣ гирифтор кардем, бошад, ки зорӣ кунанд.

those who believe say: "why is not a surah (chapter of the quran) sent down (for us)?
Касоне, ки имон овардаанд, мегӯянд: «Чаро аз ҷониби Худо сурае нозил намешавад?»

and thou wast not hoping that the book would be inspired in thee; but it is a mercy from thy lord, so be thou not a supporter of the infidels.
Агар раҳмати Парвардигорат набуд, умеди онро надоштӣ, ки ин китоб бар ту дода шавад. Пас набояд пуштибони кофирон бошӣ!

and you did not expect that the book would be inspired to you, but it is a mercy from your lord, therefore be not a backer-up of the unbelievers.
Агар раҳмати Парвардигорат набуд, умеди онро надоштӣ, ки ин китоб бар ту дода шавад. Пас набояд пуштибони кофирон бошӣ!

not a leaf falleth but he knoweth it, nor a seed-grain groweth in the darkness of the earth, nor aught of fresh or dry but is in a book luminous.
Ҳеҷ барге аз дарахте намеафтад, магар он ки аз он огоҳ аст, Ва ҳеҷ донае дар торикиҳои замин ва ҳеҷ тареву хушке нест, ҷуз он ки дар китоби мубин Лавҳул маҳфуз омада аст.

abraham was not a jew, nor yet a christian; but he was an upright man who had surrendered (to allah), and he was not of the idolaters.
Иброҳим на яҳудӣ буд, на насронӣ, балки ҳанифии'" мусалмон буд. Ва аз мушрикон набуд.

no; abraham in truth was not a jew, neither a christian; but he was a muslim and one pure of faith; certainly he was never of the idolaters.
