so fight in the way of allah: you are responsible only for yourself, but urge on the faithful [to fight].
Пас дар роҳи Худо ҷиҳод кун, ки ҷуз бар худат таклифшуда нестӣ ва мӯъминонро ба ҷанг барангез.

beware! you are called to spend in the way of god, yet some among you close their fists.
Огоҳ бошед ки шуморо даъват мекунанд то дар роҳи Худо садақа кунед.

and if you are slain in the way of allah or you die, certainly forgiveness from allah and mercy is better than what they amass.
Агар дар роҳи Худо кушта шавед, ё бимиред, омурзиш ва раҳмати Худо аз он чӣ дар ин ҷаҳон чамъ меоваред, беҳтар аст.

say, ‘o people of the book! why do you bar the faithful from the way of allah, seeking to make it crooked, while you are witnesses [to its truthfulness]?
Бигӯ: «Эй аҳли китоб, ба чӣ сабаб онҳоро, ки имон овардаанд, аз роҳи Худо бозмедоред ва мехоҳед, ки ба роҳи каҷ раванд?

tell them: "do not favour me with your submission. in fact god has favoured you by showing you the way to belief, if you are men of truth."
Бигӯ: «Ба хотири исломатон бар ман миннат мекунед, балки Худо ба он сабаб, ки шуморо ба имон роҳ намудааст, бар шумо миннат мениҳад, агар рост мегӯед!»

therefore remain firm the way you are commanded to, and those who have turned along with you, and o people – do not rebel; indeed he is seeing your deeds.
Ҳамроҳ бо онон, ки бо ту рӯ ба Худо кардаанд, ҳамчунон, ки амр шудаӣ, собитқадам бош. Ва аз ҳад нагузаред, ки Ӯ ба ҳар коре, ки мекунед, биност!

and make us submit, o lord, to your will, and our progeny a people submissive to you. teach us the way of worship and forgive our trespasses, for you are compassionate and merciful;
Эй Парвардигори мо, моро фармонбардори хеш соз ва низ фарзандони моро фармонбардори хеш гардон ва тариқаи ҳаҷамонро ба мо биёмуз ва тавбаи мо бипазир, ки ту тавбапазиранда ва меҳрубон ҳастӣ!

ah! there you are, being invited to spend in the way of allah; yet among you there are those who are stingy; and whoever is stingy is stingy only to himself.
Огоҳ бошед ки шуморо даъват мекунанд то дар роҳи Худо садақа кунед. Баъзе аз шумо бахили мекунанд, ва ҳар кас ки бахилӣ кунад, дар ҳаққи худ бахилӣ кардааст.

and if you are in fear, pray while on foot or while riding, as you can; when you are in peace remember allah the way he has taught you, which you did not know.
Ва агар аз душман бимнок будед, пиёда ё савора намоз кунед. Ва чун эмин шудед, Худоро ёд кунед, зеро ба шумо чизҳое омухт, ки намедонистед.

and if you are killed or die in the way of allah, forgiveness and mercy from allah are far better than all that they amass (of worldly wealths, etc.).
Агар дар роҳи Худо кушта шавед, ё бимиред, омурзиш ва раҳмати Худо аз он чӣ дар ин ҷаҳон чамъ меоваред, беҳтар аст.

(so, o messenger!) fight in the way of allah -since you are responsible for none except yourself - and rouse the believers to fight, for allah may well curb the might of the unbelievers.

o you who have faith! what is the matter with you that when you are told: ‘go forth in the way of allah,’ you sink heavily to the ground?
Эй касоне, ки имон овардаед, барои чӣ чун ба шумо гӯянд, ки барои ҷанг дар роҳи Худо ҷамъ шавед, гӯё ба замин мечаспед?

Эй касоне, ки имон овардаед, чун барои ҷиҳод раҳсипор шавед, нек тафаҳҳус (санҷиш) кунед. Ва ба он кас, ки ба, р шумо салом гӯяд, магӯед, ки мӯъмин нести.

and we will remove whatever of ill-feeling is in their breasts; the rivers shall flow beneath them and they shall say: all praise is due to allah who guided us to this, and we would not have found the way had it not been that allah had guided us; certainly the apostles of our lord brought the truth; and it shall be cried out to them that this is the garden of which you are made heirs for what you did.
