நல்லது மற்றும் தீமை

and we rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned.
நிச்சயமாக இதிலே ஓர் அத்தாட்சி இருக்கிறது எனினும் அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் நம்பிக்கை கொள்வதில்லை.

a brief enjoyment! then their abode is hell, and evil is the resting-place.
(அது) மிகவும் அற்ப சுகம். பிறகு அவர்கள் தங்குமிடம் நரகமே யாகும்; (இது) மிகவும் கெட்ட தங்குமிடமும் ஆகும்.

and guided him on the two paths (of good and evil)?
அன்றியும் (நன்மை, தீமையாகிய) இருபாதைகளை நாம் அவனுக்குக் காண்பித்தோம்.

and did we not show him the two highroads (of good and evil)?
அன்றியும் (நன்மை, தீமையாகிய) இருபாதைகளை நாம் அவனுக்குக் காண்பித்தோம்.

surely it is an evil abode and (evil) place to stay.
நிச்சயமாக அது வாழ்வதற்கும் வசிப்பதற்கும் மிகக் கெட்ட இடமாகும்.

and approach not fornication; surely it is an indecency, and evil as a way.
நீங்கள் விபச்சாரத்தை நெருங்காதீர்கள்; நிச்சயமாக அது மானக்கேடானதாகும். மேலும், (வேறு கேடுகளின் பக்கம் இழுத்துச் செல்லும்) தீய வழியாகவும் இருக்கின்றது.

indeed, the hours of the night are more effective for concurrence [of heart and tongue] and more suitable for words.
நிச்சயமாக, இரவில் எழு(ந்திருந்து வணங்கு)வது (அகத்தையும் புறத்தையும்) ஒருங்கிணைக்க வல்லது. மேலும் வாக்கையும் செவ்வைப்படுத்த வல்லது.

and remember your lord by your tongue and within yourself, humbly and with fear without loudness in words in the mornings, and in the afternoons and be not of those who are neglectful.
(நபியே!) நீர் உம் மனதிற்குள் மிக்க பணிவோடும், அச்சத்தோடும் (மெதுவாக) உரத்த சப்தமின்றி காலையிலும், மாலையிலும் உம் இறைவனின் (திருநாமத்தை) திக்ரு செய்து கொண்டு இருப்பீராக! (அவனை) மறந்து விட்டிருப்போரில் ஒருவராக நீர் இருக்க வேண்டாம்.

(then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil).
ஒவ்வோர் ஆத்மாவும், தான் கொண்டு வந்ததை அறிந்து கொள்ளும்.

[abiding] eternally therein, and evil it is for them on the day of resurrection as a load -
அ(ப்படிச் சுமப்ப)வர்கள் அதில் எந்நாளும் (அதைச் சுமந்தவாறே) இருப்பார்கள்; கியாம நாளில் இச்சுமை அவர்களுக்கு மிகவும் கெட்டது.
