பெருமை தேடிக் கொண்டிருந்தவர்கள், பலஹீனர்களாகக் கருதப்பட்டவர்களிடம், "உங்களிடம் நேர்வழி வந்தபின், அதை விட்டும் உங்களை நாங்களா தடுத்தோம்? அல்ல! நீங்கள் தாம் (நேர்வழி ஏற்காத) குற்றாவளிகளாக இருந்தீர்கள்" என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

truly such will be our bounty (to you); it will never fail;-
"நிச்சயமாக இவை நம்முடைய கொடையாகும்; இதற்கு (என்றும்) முடிவே இராது" (என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்படும்).

'allah alone has the knowledge' he said, 'i am sent to deliver to you the message. but i can see that you are ignorant people'
அதற்கவர்; "(அது எப்பொழுது வரும் என்ற) ஞானம் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்விடம் தான் இருக்கிறது மேலும், நான் எதைக் கொண்டு உங்களிடம் அனுப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறேனோ அதையே நான் உங்களுக்குச் சேர்ப்பித்து, எடுத்துரைக்கின்றேன் - எனினும் நான் உங்களை அறிவில்லாத சமூகத்தாராகவே காண்கிறேன்" என்று கூறினார்.

if good comes to you, it grieves them; but if hardship befalls you, they say: 'we have taken our precautions' and they turn away, rejoicing.
உமக்கு ஏதாவது ஒரு நன்மை ஏற்பட்டால், அது அவர்களுக்குத் துக்கத்தைத் தருகின்றது உமக்கு ஏதாவது துன்பம் ஏற்பட்டால், அவர்கள் "நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் எங்களுடைய காரியத்தில் முன்னரே எச்சரிக்கையாக இருந்து கொண்டோம்" என்று கூறிவிட்டு மிக்க மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் (உம்மை விட்டுச்) சென்று விடுகிறார்கள்.

(இந்த முஷ்ரிக்குகளை) நீங்கள் நேர்வழிக்கு அழைத்தாலும், உங்களை அவர்கள் பின்பற்ற மாட்டார்கள்; நீங்கள் அவர்களை அழைப்பதும் அல்லது (அழையாது) வாய்மூடியிருப்பதும் உங்களுக்குச் சமமேயாகும்.

and if you invite them to guidance, they will not follow you; it is the same to you whether you invite them or you are silent.
(இந்த முஷ்ரிக்குகளை) நீங்கள் நேர்வழிக்கு அழைத்தாலும், உங்களை அவர்கள் பின்பற்ற மாட்டார்கள்; நீங்கள் அவர்களை அழைப்பதும் அல்லது (அழையாது) வாய்மூடியிருப்பதும் உங்களுக்குச் சமமேயாகும்.

he said: the knowledge is only with allah, and i deliver to you the message with which i am sent, but i see you are a people who are ignorant.
அதற்கவர்; "(அது எப்பொழுது வரும் என்ற) ஞானம் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்விடம் தான் இருக்கிறது மேலும், நான் எதைக் கொண்டு உங்களிடம் அனுப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறேனோ அதையே நான் உங்களுக்குச் சேர்ப்பித்து, எடுத்துரைக்கின்றேன் - எனினும் நான் உங்களை அறிவில்லாத சமூகத்தாராகவே காண்கிறேன்" என்று கூறினார்.

they will answer: "glory to you. it was not worthy of us to seek any protector other than you. but you allowed them and their fathers a life of ease until they turned oblivious of the reminder. they were a people impenitent.
(அதற்கு) அவர்கள் "இறைவா! நீ தூயவன். உன்னையன்றி நாங்கள் பாது காவலர்களை ஏற்படுத்திக் கொள்ள எங்களுக்குத் தேவையில்லையே! எனினும் நீ இவர்களையும் இவர்களுடைய மூதாதையர்களையும் சுகம் அனுபவிக்கச் செய்தாய்; அவர்களோ உன் நினைப்பை மறந்தார்கள்; மேலும் அழிந்து போகும் கூட்டத்தாரானார்கள்" என்று கூறுவர்.

he said: "only god has the knowledge. i only convey to you what i have been sent with. but i see you are a foolish people."
அதற்கவர்; "(அது எப்பொழுது வரும் என்ற) ஞானம் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்விடம் தான் இருக்கிறது மேலும், நான் எதைக் கொண்டு உங்களிடம் அனுப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறேனோ அதையே நான் உங்களுக்குச் சேர்ப்பித்து, எடுத்துரைக்கின்றேன் - எனினும் நான் உங்களை அறிவில்லாத சமூகத்தாராகவே காண்கிறேன்" என்று கூறினார்.

(o prophet), you never looked forward for the book to be revealed to you. it is out of sheer mercy of your lord that it was (revealed to you). so do not lend any support to the unbelievers.
இன்னும், உம்முடைய இறைவனிடமுள்ள ரஹ்மத்தினாலன்றி இவ்வேதம் உமக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும் என்று நீர் எதிர்பார்க்கவில்லை. எனவே நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கு உதவியாளராக நிச்சயமாக நீர் இருக்காதீர்.

he replied: “allah alone knows about this. i only convey to you the message that i have been sent with. but i see that you are an ignorant people.”
அதற்கவர்; "(அது எப்பொழுது வரும் என்ற) ஞானம் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்விடம் தான் இருக்கிறது மேலும், நான் எதைக் கொண்டு உங்களிடம் அனுப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறேனோ அதையே நான் உங்களுக்குச் சேர்ப்பித்து, எடுத்துரைக்கின்றேன் - எனினும் நான் உங்களை அறிவில்லாத சமூகத்தாராகவே காண்கிறேன்" என்று கூறினார்.
