prescribed unto you, when death is nigh unto one of you, if he leaveth any property, is the making of a bequest for parents and kindred equitably - a duty on the god-fearing.
உங்களில் எவருக்கு மரணம் நெருங்கி விடுகிறதோ அவர் ஏதேனும் பொருள் விட்டுச் செல்பவராக இருப்பின், அவர் (தம்) பெற்றோருக்கும், பந்துக்களுக்கும் முறைப்படி வஸிய்யத்து (மரண சாஸனம்)செய்வது விதியாக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. (இதை நியாயமான முறையில் நிறைவேற்றுவது) முத்தகீன்கள்(பயபக்தியுடையோர்) மீது கடமையாகும்.

and for those who disbelieve will be the fire of hell. [death] is not decreed for them so they may die, nor will its torment be lightened for them. thus do we recompense every ungrateful one.
எவர்கள் நிராகரித்தார்களோ, அவர்களுக்கு நரக நெருப்புத்தானிருக்கிறது அவர்கள் மரித்துப் போகும்படியாக அவர்களுடைய காரியம் முடிவு செய்யப்பட மாட்டாது அன்றியும் அந்(நரகத்)திலுள்ள வேதனை அவர்களுக்கு இலேசாக்கப்படவும் மாட்டாது இவ்வாறே காஃபிர் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் நாம் கூலிகொடுப்போம்.

it is allah who gives death* to living beings at the time of their demise, and to those who do not die, during their sleep; so he restrains the soul on which the decree of death has been passed, and leaves the other till the appointed term; indeed in this are signs for people who reflect. (*death is of 2 types – passing to the next world, and sleeping.)
அல்லாஹ், உயிர்களை அவை மரணிக்கும் போதும், மரணிக்காதவற்றை அவற்றின் நித்திரையிலும் கைப்பற்றி, பின்பு எதன் மீது மரணத்தை விதித்துவிட்டானோ அதை(த் தன்னிடத்தில்) நிறுத்திக் கொள்கிறான்; மீதியுள்ளவற்றை ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட தவணை வரை (வாழ்வதற்காக) அனுப்பி விடுகிறான் - சிந்தித்துப் பார்க்கும் மக்களுக்கு, நிச்சயமாக அதில் அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.
