to warn whoever is alive and justify the word against the disbelievers.
(இது) உயிரோடிருப்பவர்களை அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறது. நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கு (தண்டனை உண்டு என்ற) வாக்கை உண்மையென உறுதிப் படுத்துகிறது.

that he may warn whoever is alive, and prove the word against the faithless.
(இது) உயிரோடிருப்பவர்களை அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறது. நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கு (தண்டனை உண்டு என்ற) வாக்கை உண்மையென உறுதிப் படுத்துகிறது.

that he may warn him who is alive and establish an argument against those that deny the truth.
(இது) உயிரோடிருப்பவர்களை அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறது. நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கு (தண்டனை உண்டு என்ற) வாக்கை உண்மையென உறுதிப் படுத்துகிறது.

in order that it may warn him who is alive, and that the sentence may be justified on the infidels.
(இது) உயிரோடிருப்பவர்களை அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறது. நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கு (தண்டனை உண்டு என்ற) வாக்கை உண்மையென உறுதிப் படுத்துகிறது.

so that he may warn him who is alive and feels, and justify the word against those who do not believe.
(இது) உயிரோடிருப்பவர்களை அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறது. நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கு (தண்டனை உண்டு என்ற) வாக்கை உண்மையென உறுதிப் படுத்துகிறது.

prescribed unto you, when death is nigh unto one of you, if he leaveth any property, is the making of a bequest for parents and kindred equitably - a duty on the god-fearing.
உங்களில் எவருக்கு மரணம் நெருங்கி விடுகிறதோ அவர் ஏதேனும் பொருள் விட்டுச் செல்பவராக இருப்பின், அவர் (தம்) பெற்றோருக்கும், பந்துக்களுக்கும் முறைப்படி வஸிய்யத்து (மரண சாஸனம்)செய்வது விதியாக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. (இதை நியாயமான முறையில் நிறைவேற்றுவது) முத்தகீன்கள்(பயபக்தியுடையோர்) மீது கடமையாகும்.

and for those who disbelieve will be the fire of hell. [death] is not decreed for them so they may die, nor will its torment be lightened for them. thus do we recompense every ungrateful one.
எவர்கள் நிராகரித்தார்களோ, அவர்களுக்கு நரக நெருப்புத்தானிருக்கிறது அவர்கள் மரித்துப் போகும்படியாக அவர்களுடைய காரியம் முடிவு செய்யப்பட மாட்டாது அன்றியும் அந்(நரகத்)திலுள்ள வேதனை அவர்களுக்கு இலேசாக்கப்படவும் மாட்டாது இவ்வாறே காஃபிர் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் நாம் கூலிகொடுப்போம்.

allah – none is worthy of worship, except him, he is alive (eternally, on his own) and the upholder (keeps others established).
அவன் நித்திய ஜீவன்; என்றும் நிலைத்திருப்பவன்.

allah – there is no god except him; he is alive (eternally, on his own) and the upholder (keeps others established); he never feels drowsy nor does he sleep; to him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth; who is he that can intercede* with him except by his command? he knows what is in front of them and what is behind them; and they do not achieve anything of his knowledge except what he wills; his throne (of sovereignty) encompasses the heavens and the earth; and it is not difficult for him to guard them; and he is the supreme, the greatest. (this verse is popularly known as ayat al-kursi. it has a special status and reciting it carries great reward. *prophet mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – will be the first one to be granted the permission to intercede, others will follow.)
அல்லாஹ்-அவனைத்தவிர (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய) நாயன் வேறு இல்லை. அவன் என்றென்றும் ஜீவித்திருப்பவன், என்றென்றும் நிலைத்திருப்பவன்;, அவனை அரி துயிலே, உறக்கமோ பீடிக்கா, வானங்களிலுள்ளவையும், பூமியிலுள்ளவையும் அவனுக்கே உரியன, அவன் அனுமதியின்றி அவனிடம் யார் பரிந்துரை செய்ய முடியும்? (படைப்பினங்களுக்கு) முன்னருள்ளவற்றையும், அவற்றுக்குப் பின்னருள்ளவற்றையும் அவன் நன்கறிவான்;. அவன் ஞானத்திலிருந்து எதனையும், அவன் நாட்டமின்றி, எவரும் அறிந்துகொள்ள முடியாது. அவனுடைய அரியாசனம் (குர்ஸிய்யு) வானங்களிலும், பூமியிலும் பரந்து நிற்கின்றது. அவ்விரண்டையும் காப்பது அவனுக்குச் சிரமத்தை உண்டாக்குவதில்லை - அவன் மிக உயர்ந்தவன்; மகிமை மிக்கவன்.
