(நபியே!) நீர் கூறும்; "நீங்கள் கல்லாகவோ, இரும்பாகவோ ஆகுங்கள்.

believers, if you obey a certain group among the people of the book, they will turn you back to disbelief.
நம்பிக்கை கொண்டோரே! வேதத்தையுடையோரில் ஒரு பிரிவாரை நீங்கள் பின்பற்றினால், அவர்கள் உங்களை, நீங்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டபின், காஃபிர்களாக திருப்பி விடுவார்கள்.

o believers, if you follow what some of the people of the book say, it will turn you into unbelievers even after you have come to belief.
நம்பிக்கை கொண்டோரே! வேதத்தையுடையோரில் ஒரு பிரிவாரை நீங்கள் பின்பற்றினால், அவர்கள் உங்களை, நீங்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டபின், காஃபிர்களாக திருப்பி விடுவார்கள்.

நம்பிக்கை கொண்டோரே! வேதத்தையுடையோரில் ஒரு பிரிவாரை நீங்கள் பின்பற்றினால், அவர்கள் உங்களை, நீங்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டபின், காஃபிர்களாக திருப்பி விடுவார்கள்.

o believers, if you obey a sect of those who have been given the book, they will turn you, after you have believed, into unbelievers.
நம்பிக்கை கொண்டோரே! வேதத்தையுடையோரில் ஒரு பிரிவாரை நீங்கள் பின்பற்றினால், அவர்கள் உங்களை, நீங்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டபின், காஃபிர்களாக திருப்பி விடுவார்கள்.

so would you perhaps, if you turned away, cause corruption on earth and sever your [ties of] relationship?
(போருக்கு வராது) நீங்கள் பின் வாங்குவீர்களாயின், நீங்கள் பூமியில் குழப்பம் உண்டாக்கி உங்கள் சுற்றத்தாரை (அவர்களுடன் கலந்து உறவாடுவதிலிருந்தும்) துண்டித்து விடுவும் முனைவீர்களோ?

o you who believe! if you obey a party from among those who have been given the book, they will turn you back as unbelievers after you have believed.
நம்பிக்கை கொண்டோரே! வேதத்தையுடையோரில் ஒரு பிரிவாரை நீங்கள் பின்பற்றினால், அவர்கள் உங்களை, நீங்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டபின், காஃபிர்களாக திருப்பி விடுவார்கள்.

if you are in doubt of what we have sent down to you, ask those who recite the book before you. the truth has come to you from your lord, therefore do not be of the doubters.
(நபியே!) நாம் உம் மீது இறக்கியுள்ள இ(வ்வேதத்)தில் சந்தேகம் கொளிவீராயின், உமக்கு முன்னர் உள்ள வேதத்தை ஓதுகிறார்களே அவர்களிடம் கேட்டுப் பார்ப்பீராக் நிச்சயமாக உம் இறைவனிடமிருந்து உமக்குச் சத்திய (வேத)ம் வந்துள்ளது - எனவே சந்தேகம் கொள்பவர்களில் நீரும் ஒருவராகி விட வேண்டாம்.

but if you are in doubt as to what we have revealed to you, ask those who read the book before you; certainly the truth has come to you from your lord, therefore you should not be of the disputers.
(நபியே!) நாம் உம் மீது இறக்கியுள்ள இ(வ்வேதத்)தில் சந்தேகம் கொளிவீராயின், உமக்கு முன்னர் உள்ள வேதத்தை ஓதுகிறார்களே அவர்களிடம் கேட்டுப் பார்ப்பீராக் நிச்சயமாக உம் இறைவனிடமிருந்து உமக்குச் சத்திய (வேத)ம் வந்துள்ளது - எனவே சந்தேகம் கொள்பவர்களில் நீரும் ஒருவராகி விட வேண்டாம்.

if you are in any doubt concerning what we have sent down to you, then question those who have read the book before you: the truth has come to you from your lord, so do not be one of the doubters --
(நபியே!) நாம் உம் மீது இறக்கியுள்ள இ(வ்வேதத்)தில் சந்தேகம் கொளிவீராயின், உமக்கு முன்னர் உள்ள வேதத்தை ஓதுகிறார்களே அவர்களிடம் கேட்டுப் பார்ப்பீராக் நிச்சயமாக உம் இறைவனிடமிருந்து உமக்குச் சத்திய (வேத)ம் வந்துள்ளது - எனவே சந்தேகம் கொள்பவர்களில் நீரும் ஒருவராகி விட வேண்டாம்.

now, if you are in doubt concerning what we have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the book before you. it is the truth that has come to you from your lord, so do never become one of those who doubt,
(நபியே!) நாம் உம் மீது இறக்கியுள்ள இ(வ்வேதத்)தில் சந்தேகம் கொளிவீராயின், உமக்கு முன்னர் உள்ள வேதத்தை ஓதுகிறார்களே அவர்களிடம் கேட்டுப் பார்ப்பீராக் நிச்சயமாக உம் இறைவனிடமிருந்து உமக்குச் சத்திய (வேத)ம் வந்துள்ளது - எனவே சந்தேகம் கொள்பவர்களில் நீரும் ஒருவராகி விட வேண்டாம்.

even if you were to bring all kinds of authoritative proof to the people of the book, they still would not accept your qibla, nor would you accept theirs, nor would they accept each others. were you to follow their desires after all the knowledge that has come to you, you would certainly have been one of the unjust.
வேதம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களிடம் நீர் எல்லாவிதமான அத்தாட்சிகளையும் கொண்டுவந்த போதிலும் அவர்கள் உம் கிப்லாவைப் பின்பற்ற மாட்டார்கள்;. நீரும் அவர்களுடைய கிப்லாவைப் பின்பற்றுபவர் அல்லர்;. இன்னும் அவர்களில் சிலர் மற்றவர்களின் கிப்லாவைப் பின்பற்றுபவர்களும் அல்லர்;. எனவே (இதைப் பற்றிய) ஞானம் உமக்குக் கிடைத்த பின் நீர் அவர்களுடைய விருப்பங்களைப் பின்பற்றி நடப்பீராயின், நிச்சயமாக நீர் அநியாயக்காரர்களில் ஒருவராக இருப்பீர்.

and if you, o listener, have any doubt in what we have sent down towards you, then question those who have read the book before you; undoubtedly, towards you has come the truth from your lord, therefore do not be of those who doubt.
(நபியே!) நாம் உம் மீது இறக்கியுள்ள இ(வ்வேதத்)தில் சந்தேகம் கொளிவீராயின், உமக்கு முன்னர் உள்ள வேதத்தை ஓதுகிறார்களே அவர்களிடம் கேட்டுப் பார்ப்பீராக் நிச்சயமாக உம் இறைவனிடமிருந்து உமக்குச் சத்திய (வேத)ம் வந்துள்ளது - எனவே சந்தேகம் கொள்பவர்களில் நீரும் ஒருவராகி விட வேண்டாம்.

and if you be in doubt whether the book we have sent down to our servant is from us or not, then produce, at least, one surah like this. you may call all your associates to assist you and avail yourselves of the help of any one other than allah. if you are genuine in your doubt, do this.
இன்னும், (முஹம்மது (ஸல்) என்ற) நம் அடியாருக்கு நாம் அருளியுள்ள (வேதத்)தில் நீங்கள் சந்தேகம் உடையோராக இருப்பீர்களானால், (அந்த சந்தேகத்தில்) உண்மை உடையோராகவும் இருப்பீர்களானால் அல்லாஹ்வைத்தவிர உங்கள் உதவியாளர்களை(யெல்லாம் ஒன்றாக) அழைத்து (வைத்து)க்கொண்டு இது போன்ற ஓர் அத்தியாயமேனும் கொன்டு வாருங்கள்.

before you also the messengers we sent were but [mortal] men to whom we vouchsafed revelation. ask the people of the book, if you do not know.
(நபியே!) இன்னும் உமக்கு முன்னர் வஹீ கொடுத்து நாம் அவர்களிடம் அனுப்பி வைத்த தூதர்கள் எல்லோரும் ஆடவரே தவிர வேறெல்லர் ஆகவே (அவர்களை நோக்கி) "நீங்கள் (இதனை) அறிந்து கொள்ளாமலிருந்தால். (முந்திய) வேத ஞானம் பெற்றோரிடம் கேட்டறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்" (என்று கூறுவீராக).

and even if you bring to those who have been given the book every sign they would not follow your qiblah, nor can you be a follower of their qiblah, neither are they the followers of each other's qiblah, and if you follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, then you shall most surely be among the unjust.
வேதம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களிடம் நீர் எல்லாவிதமான அத்தாட்சிகளையும் கொண்டுவந்த போதிலும் அவர்கள் உம் கிப்லாவைப் பின்பற்ற மாட்டார்கள்;. நீரும் அவர்களுடைய கிப்லாவைப் பின்பற்றுபவர் அல்லர்;. இன்னும் அவர்களில் சிலர் மற்றவர்களின் கிப்லாவைப் பின்பற்றுபவர்களும் அல்லர்;. எனவே (இதைப் பற்றிய) ஞானம் உமக்குக் கிடைத்த பின் நீர் அவர்களுடைய விருப்பங்களைப் பின்பற்றி நடப்பீராயின், நிச்சயமாக நீர் அநியாயக்காரர்களில் ஒருவராக இருப்பீர்.
