i am the way , the truth, and the life
வழியும் உண்மையும் வாழ்வும் நானே

this is the absolute truth and certainty.
நிச்சயமாக இதுதான் உறுதியான உண்மையாகும்.

but rejected the truth and turned away!
ஆகவே, அவன் பொய்ப்பித்து முகம் திருப்பியுங் கொண்டான்.

who denied [the truth], and turned away.
எத்தகையவனென்றால் அவன் (நம் வசனங்களைப்) பொய்யாக்கி, முகம் திரும்பினான்.

but he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed.
ஆனால், அவனோ அதைப் பொய்ப்பித்து, மாறு செய்தான்.

we bring you the truth, and indeed we are truthful.
(உறுதியாக நிகழவிருக்கும்) உண்மையையே உம்மிடம் நாங்கள் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கின்றோம்; நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உண்மையாளர்களாகவே இருக்கிறோம்.

but on the contrary, he rejected truth and turned away!
ஆகவே, அவன் பொய்ப்பித்து முகம் திருப்பியுங் கொண்டான்.

"yet we bring to you the truth, and we are truthful.
(உறுதியாக நிகழவிருக்கும்) உண்மையையே உம்மிடம் நாங்கள் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கின்றோம்; நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உண்மையாளர்களாகவே இருக்கிறோம்.

and we have brought unto thee the truth, and verily we say sooth.
(உறுதியாக நிகழவிருக்கும்) உண்மையையே உம்மிடம் நாங்கள் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கின்றோம்; நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உண்மையாளர்களாகவே இருக்கிறோம்.

and we have come to you with the truth, and we are most surely truthful.
(உறுதியாக நிகழவிருக்கும்) உண்மையையே உம்மிடம் நாங்கள் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கின்றோம்; நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உண்மையாளர்களாகவே இருக்கிறோம்.

and bring thee the truth, and lo! we are truth-tellers.
(உறுதியாக நிகழவிருக்கும்) உண்மையையே உம்மிடம் நாங்கள் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கின்றோம்; நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உண்மையாளர்களாகவே இருக்கிறோம்.

'no indeed; but he brought the truth, and confirmed the envoys.
அப்படியல்ல! அவர் சத்தியத்தையே கொண்டு வந்திருக்கிறார்; அன்றியும் (தமக்கு முன்னர் வந்த) தூதர்களையும் உண்மைப்படுத்துகிறார்.

and whoso bringeth the truth and believeth therein - such are the dutiful.
அன்றியும், உண்மையைக் கொண்டு வந்தவரும், அவ்வுண்மையை ஏற்(று உறுதிப்படுத்து)பவர்களும் - இவர்கள் தாம் - பயபக்தியுடையவர்கள் ஆவார்கள்.

in order to confirm the truth and nullify falsehood, even though the guilty dislike it.
மேலும் குற்றவாளிகள் வெறுத்த போதிலும், அல்லாஹ் பொய்யை அழித்து ஹக்கை-உண்மையை - நிலைநாட்டவே (நாடுகிறான்).

rather, the prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers.
அப்படியல்ல! அவர் சத்தியத்தையே கொண்டு வந்திருக்கிறார்; அன்றியும் (தமக்கு முன்னர் வந்த) தூதர்களையும் உண்மைப்படுத்துகிறார்.

among those we created is a community—they guide by truth, and do justice thereby.
நாம் படைத்தவர்களில் ஒரு கூட்டத்தார் இருக்கின்றார்கள். அவர்கள் சத்திய வழியைக் காட்டுகிறார்கள்; அதைக் கொண்டு நீதியும் செலுத்துகிறார்கள்.

(they say so although) he brought the truth and confirmed the veracity of the messengers.
அப்படியல்ல! அவர் சத்தியத்தையே கொண்டு வந்திருக்கிறார்; அன்றியும் (தமக்கு முன்னர் வந்த) தூதர்களையும் உண்மைப்படுத்துகிறார்.

indeed, he has brought [them] the truth, and confirmed the [earlier] apostles.
அப்படியல்ல! அவர் சத்தியத்தையே கொண்டு வந்திருக்கிறார்; அன்றியும் (தமக்கு முன்னர் வந்த) தூதர்களையும் உண்மைப்படுத்துகிறார்.

are true believers. there are for them (high) ranks with their lord, and pardon and noble provision.
இத்தகையவர் தாம் உண்மையான முஃமின்கள் ஆவார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய இறைவனிடம் அவர்களுக்கு உயர் பதவிகளும், பாவ மன்னிப்பும் சங்கையான உணவும் உண்டு.

who expend both in joy and tribulation, who suppress their anger and pardon their fellowmen; and god loves those who are upright and do good,
(பயபக்தியுடையோர் எத்தகையோர் என்றால்,) அவர்கள் இன்பமான (செல்வ) நிலையிலும், துன்பமான (ஏழ்மை) நிலையிலும் (இறைவனின் பாதையில்) செலவிடுவார்கள்;. தவிர கோபத்தை அடக்கிக் கொள்வார்கள். மனிதர்(கள் செய்யும் பிழை)களை மன்னிப்போராய் இருப்பார்கள். (இவ்வாறு அழகாக) நன்மை செய்வோரையே அல்லாஹ் நேசிக்கின்றான்.
