and when the seas rise,
கடல்கள் தீ மூட்டப்படும்போது-

when the themal clear
கரு தோல் நோய் வகைகள்

and when the stars fall,
நட்சத்திரங்கள் (ஒளியிழந்து) உதிர்ந்து விழும்போது-

when the classes will start
வகுப்புகள் எப்போது தொடங்கும்

when the lion inside comes out
ஒரு நாள் சிங்கம் எலியைப் பிடித்தது

when the blind man approached him,
அவரிடம் அந்த அந்தகர் வந்தபோது,

and when the stars fall, dispersing,
நட்சத்திரங்கள் (ஒளியிழந்து) உதிர்ந்து விழும்போது-

and when the stars become dispersed,
நட்சத்திரங்கள் உதிர்ந்து விழும்போது-

do not bestow a favour in the expectation of receiving more in return;
(பிறருக்குக் கொடுப்பதையும் விட அவர்களிடமிருந்து) அதிமாகப் பொறும் (நோக்கோடு) உபகாரம் செய்யாதீர்.

when the event (the resurrection) comes
மாபெரும் நிகழ்ச்சி(யான இறுதிநாள்) ஏற்பட்டால்

and glorify him in the night and when the stars begin to wane.
இன்னும், இரவின் ஒரு பாகத்திலும், நட்சத்திரங்கள் அடையும் நேரத்திலும் அவனைத்(துதி செய்து) தஸ்பீஹு செய்வீராக!

when the qur'an is read, listen to it with attention, and hold your peace: that ye may receive mercy.
குர்ஆன் ஓதப்படும்போது அதனை நீங்கள் செவிதாழ்த்தி (கவனமாகக்) கேளுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது நிசப்தமாக இருங்கள் - (இதனால்) நீங்கள் கிருபை செய்யப்படுவீர்கள்.

the worshipers of the merciful are those who walk humbly on the earth, and when the ignorant address them say: 'peace'
இன்னும் அர்ரஹ்மானுடைய அடியார்கள் (யாரென்றால்) அவர்கள்தாம் பூமியில் பணிவுடன் நடப்பவர்கள்; மூடர்கள் அவர்களுடன் பேசி(வாதா)ட முற்பட்டால் "ஸலாம்" (சாந்தியுண்டாகட்டும் என்று) சொல்லி (விலகிப் போய்) விடுவார்கள்.

when the angels came to him and said, “peace"; he said, “we feel afraid of you.”
அவர்கள் அவரிடம் வந்து, "உங்களுக்குச் சாந்தி (ஸலாமுன்) உண்டாவதாக!" என்று சொன்ன போது அவர், "நாம் உங்களைப்பற்றி பயப்படுகிறோம்" என்று கூறினார்.
