the people of the book were not divided among themselves till after the clear proof had come to them.
எனினும் வேதக்காரர்கள் அவர்களுக்குத் தெளிவான (இந்த) ஆதாரம் வந்த பின்னரேயன்றி அவர்கள் பிளவுபடவில்லை.

and they scattered not, those that were given the book, excepting after the clear sign came to them.
எனினும் வேதக்காரர்கள் அவர்களுக்குத் தெளிவான (இந்த) ஆதாரம் வந்த பின்னரேயன்றி அவர்கள் பிளவுபடவில்லை.

and certainly we wrote in the book after the reminder that (as for) the land, my righteous servants shall inherit it.
நிச்சயமாக நாம் ஜபூர் வேதத்தில், (முந்திய வேதத்தைப் பற்றி) நினைவூட்டிய பின்; "நிச்சயமாக பூமியை (ஸாலிஹான) என்னுடைய நல்லடியார்கள் வாரிசாக அடைவார்கள் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறோம்.

nor did the people of the book(s) get divided until after the clear proof came to them.
எனினும் வேதக்காரர்கள் அவர்களுக்குத் தெளிவான (இந்த) ஆதாரம் வந்த பின்னரேயன்றி அவர்கள் பிளவுபடவில்லை.

and certainly we gave musa the book after we had destroyed the former generations, clear arguments for men and a guidance and a mercy, that they may be mindful.
இன்னும், முந்தைய தலைமுறையார்களை நாம் அழித்தபின் திடனாக மூஸாவுக்கு(த் தவ்றாத்) வேதத்தைக் கொடுத்தோம் - மனிதர் (சிந்தித்து) உபதேசம் பெறும் பொருட்டு அவர்களுக்கு ஞானப்பிரகாசங்களாகவும், நேர்வழி காட்டியாகவும் அருட் கொடையாகவும் (அது இருந்தது).

and we gave moses the book, after that we had destroyed the former generations, to be examples and a guidance and a mercy, that haply so they might remember.
இன்னும், முந்தைய தலைமுறையார்களை நாம் அழித்தபின் திடனாக மூஸாவுக்கு(த் தவ்றாத்) வேதத்தைக் கொடுத்தோம் - மனிதர் (சிந்தித்து) உபதேசம் பெறும் பொருட்டு அவர்களுக்கு ஞானப்பிரகாசங்களாகவும், நேர்வழி காட்டியாகவும் அருட் கொடையாகவும் (அது இருந்தது).

we did reveal to moses the book after we had destroyed the earlier generations, (to give) insight to men, and guidance and mercy, that they might receive admonition.
இன்னும், முந்தைய தலைமுறையார்களை நாம் அழித்தபின் திடனாக மூஸாவுக்கு(த் தவ்றாத்) வேதத்தைக் கொடுத்தோம் - மனிதர் (சிந்தித்து) உபதேசம் பெறும் பொருட்டு அவர்களுக்கு ஞானப்பிரகாசங்களாகவும், நேர்வழி காட்டியாகவும் அருட் கொடையாகவும் (அது இருந்தது).

on the day when we call every nation with their leaders, those whose record of deeds are given to their right hands will read the book and the least wrong will not be done to them.
(நபியே!) நாம் எல்லா மக்களையும் அவரவர்களுடைய தலைவர்களுடன் அழைக்கும் நாளை (நீர் நினைவூட்டுவீராக அந்நாளில்) எவருடைய (செயல் குறிப்பு) ஏடு அவருடைய வலக்கையில் கொடுக்கப்படுகிறதோ, அ(த்தகை நற்பேறுடைய)வர்கள் தம் ஏடுகளை (நிம்மதியுடன்) படிப்பார்கள்; இன்னும், அவர்கன் அணுவளவும் அநியாயம் செய்யப்பட மாட்டார்கள்.

and we have already written in the book [of psalms] after the [previous] mention that the land [of paradise] is inherited by my righteous servants.
நிச்சயமாக நாம் ஜபூர் வேதத்தில், (முந்திய வேதத்தைப் பற்றி) நினைவூட்டிய பின்; "நிச்சயமாக பூமியை (ஸாலிஹான) என்னுடைய நல்லடியார்கள் வாரிசாக அடைவார்கள் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறோம்.

certainly we gave moses the book, after we had destroyed the former generations, as [a set of] eye-openers, guidance and mercy for mankind, so that they may take admonition.
இன்னும், முந்தைய தலைமுறையார்களை நாம் அழித்தபின் திடனாக மூஸாவுக்கு(த் தவ்றாத்) வேதத்தைக் கொடுத்தோம் - மனிதர் (சிந்தித்து) உபதேசம் பெறும் பொருட்டு அவர்களுக்கு ஞானப்பிரகாசங்களாகவும், நேர்வழி காட்டியாகவும் அருட் கொடையாகவும் (அது இருந்தது).

but if you are in doubt as to what we have revealed to you, ask those who read the book before you; certainly the truth has come to you from your lord, therefore you should not be of the disputers.
(நபியே!) நாம் உம் மீது இறக்கியுள்ள இ(வ்வேதத்)தில் சந்தேகம் கொளிவீராயின், உமக்கு முன்னர் உள்ள வேதத்தை ஓதுகிறார்களே அவர்களிடம் கேட்டுப் பார்ப்பீராக் நிச்சயமாக உம் இறைவனிடமிருந்து உமக்குச் சத்திய (வேத)ம் வந்துள்ளது - எனவே சந்தேகம் கொள்பவர்களில் நீரும் ஒருவராகி விட வேண்டாம்.

verily the religion with allah is islam and those who were vouchsafed the book differed not save after the knowledge had come unto them, out of spite among themselves. and whosoever disbelieveth in the revelations of allah, then verily allah swift at reckoning.
நிச்சயமாக (தீனுல்) இஸ்லாம் தான் அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் (ஒப்புக்கொள்ளப்பட்ட) மார்க்கமாகும்;. வேதம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் (இதுதான் உண்மையான மார்க்கம் என்னும்) அறிவு அவர்களுக்குக் கிடைத்த பின்னரும் தம்மிடையேயுள்ள பொறாமையின் காரணமாக (இதற்கு) மாறுபட்டனர்;. எவர் அல்லாஹ்வின் வசனங்களை நிராகரித்தார்களோ, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (அவர்களுடைய) கணக்கைத் துரிதமாக முடிப்பான்.

and if thou be in doubt concerning that which we have sent down unto thee, then ask those who have read the books before thee. assuredly hath the truth come unto thee from thy lord, so be not then of the doubters.
(நபியே!) நாம் உம் மீது இறக்கியுள்ள இ(வ்வேதத்)தில் சந்தேகம் கொளிவீராயின், உமக்கு முன்னர் உள்ள வேதத்தை ஓதுகிறார்களே அவர்களிடம் கேட்டுப் பார்ப்பீராக் நிச்சயமாக உம் இறைவனிடமிருந்து உமக்குச் சத்திய (வேத)ம் வந்துள்ளது - எனவே சந்தேகம் கொள்பவர்களில் நீரும் ஒருவராகி விட வேண்டாம்.

many of the people of the book wish to turn you back into unbelievers after you have believed, out of envy on their part, after the truth has become clear to them. but pardon and overlook, until god brings his command. god has power over all things.
வேதத்தை உடையவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர், உண்மை அவர்களுக்கு தெளிவாகத்தெரிந்த பின்னரும், தங்கள் மனதில் உள்ள பொறாமையினால் நீங்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டபின் காஃபிர்களாக மாற வேண்டுமென விரும்புகிறார்கள். ஆனால் அல்லாஹ்வின் கட்டளை வரும்வரை அவர்களை மன்னித்து, அவர்கள் போக்கிலே விட்டுவிடுங்கள்;. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அனைத்துப் பொருட்கள் மீதும் சக்தி உடையவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

and if you, o listener, have any doubt in what we have sent down towards you, then question those who have read the book before you; undoubtedly, towards you has come the truth from your lord, therefore do not be of those who doubt.
(நபியே!) நாம் உம் மீது இறக்கியுள்ள இ(வ்வேதத்)தில் சந்தேகம் கொளிவீராயின், உமக்கு முன்னர் உள்ள வேதத்தை ஓதுகிறார்களே அவர்களிடம் கேட்டுப் பார்ப்பீராக் நிச்சயமாக உம் இறைவனிடமிருந்து உமக்குச் சத்திய (வேத)ம் வந்துள்ளது - எனவே சந்தேகம் கொள்பவர்களில் நீரும் ஒருவராகி விட வேண்டாம்.

the jews say the nazarenes are not on anything, and the nazarenes say it is the jews who are not on anything. yet they both read the book. and those who do not know say like their saying. allah will judge between them their disputes on the day of resurrection.
யூதர்கள் கூறுகிறார்கள்; 'கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் எந்த நல்வழியிலும் இல்லை' என்று. கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் கூறுகிறார்கள்; 'யூதர்கள் எந்த நல்வழியிலும் இல்லை' என்று. ஆனால், இவர்கள் (தங்களுக்குரிய) வேதத்தை ஓதிக்கொண்டே (இப்படிக் கூறுகிறார்கள்) இவர்கள் கூறும் சொற்களைப் போலவே ஒன்றும் அறியாதவர்களும் கூறுகிறார்கள்; இறுதித்தீர்ப்பு நாளில் அல்லாஹ் இவர்கள் தர்க்கித்து மாறுபட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கும் விஷயத்தில் தீர்ப்பளிப்பான்.

yet they became divided only after knowledge had reached them from their own insolence. and had it not been for a word that had preceded from yourlord, till an appointed term, it would have been determined between them. but those who inherited the book after them are in disquieting doubt about it,
அவர்கள், தங்களிடம் ஞானம் (வேதம்) வந்த பின்னர், தங்களுக்கிடையேயுள்ள பொறாமையின் காரணமாகவே யன்றி அவர்கள் பிரிந்து போகவில்லை (அவர்கள் பற்றிய தீர்ப்பு) ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட தவணையில் என்று உம்முடைய இறைவனின் வாக்கு முன்னரே ஏற்பட்டடிருக்காவிடில், அவர்களிடையே (இதற்குள்) நிச்சயமாக தீர்ப்பளிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும்; அன்றியும், அவர்களுக்கு பின்னர் யார் வேதத்திற்கு வாரிசாக்கப்பட்டார்களோ நிச்சயமாக அவர்களும் இதில் பெரும் சந்தேகத்தில் இருக்கின்றனர்.
