and certainly our apostles came to ibrahim with good news. they said: peace. peace, said he, and he made no delay in bringing a roasted calf.

surely those who deny the truth spend their wealth to hinder people from the way of allah, and will continue to so spend until their efforts become a source of intense regret for them, and then they will be vanquished, and then these deniers of the truth will be driven to hell,
நிச்சயமாக நிராகரிப்பவர்கள், அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையை விட்டும் தடுப்பதற்காக தங்கள் செல்வங்களை செலவு செய்கின்றனர்; (இவ்வாறே அவர்கள் தொடர்ந்து) அவற்றை செலவு செய்து கொண்டிருப்பார்கள் - முடிவில் (அது) அவர்களுக்கே துக்கமாக அமைந்துவிடும்; பின்னர் அவர்கள் வெற்றி கொள்ளப்படுவார்கள்; (இறுதியில்) நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் நரகத்தில் ஒன்று சேர்க்கப்படுவார்கள்.

so we conveyed to the mother of moses: "suckle him. if you are afraid for him, cast him in the river without any fear or regret, for we shall restore him to you, and make him an apostle."
நாம் மூஸாவின் தாயாருக்கு; "அவருக்கு (உன் குழந்தைக்குப்) பாலூட்டுவாயாக அவர் மீது (ஏதம் ஆபத்து வரும் என்று) நீ பயப்படுவாயானால், அவரை ஆற்றில் எறிந்து விடு - அப்பால் (அவருக்காக) நீ பயப்படவும் வேண்டாம், துக்கப்படவும் வேண்டாம்; நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவரை உன்னிடம் மீள வைப்போம்; இன்னும், அவரை (நம்) தூதர்களில் ஒருவராக்கி வைப்போம்" என்று வஹீ அறிவித்தோம்.

those who disbelieve spend their wealth to bar (others) from the path of allah. they will spend it; but it will become a regret for them, then they will be overcome. the unbelievers shall be gathered in gehenna,
நிச்சயமாக நிராகரிப்பவர்கள், அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையை விட்டும் தடுப்பதற்காக தங்கள் செல்வங்களை செலவு செய்கின்றனர்; (இவ்வாறே அவர்கள் தொடர்ந்து) அவற்றை செலவு செய்து கொண்டிருப்பார்கள் - முடிவில் (அது) அவர்களுக்கே துக்கமாக அமைந்துவிடும்; பின்னர் அவர்கள் வெற்றி கொள்ளப்படுவார்கள்; (இறுதியில்) நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் நரகத்தில் ஒன்று சேர்க்கப்படுவார்கள்.
