and do they laugh instead of weeping,
(இதனைப் பற்றி) நீங்கள் சிரிக்கின்றீர்களா? நீங்கள் அழாமலும் இருக்கின்றீர்களா?

it is he who causes laughter and weeping.
அன்றியும், நிச்சயமாக அவனே சிரிக்க வைக்கிறான், அழச் செய்கிறான்.

at nightfall they came to their father weeping
இன்னும், அவர்கள் (அன்று) பொழுது சாய்ந்ததும் தங்களுடைய தந்தையாரிடம் அழுது கொண்டே வந்தார்கள்.

and that it is he who causes laughter and weeping.
அன்றியும், நிச்சயமாக அவனே சிரிக்க வைக்கிறான், அழச் செய்கிறான்.

and at nightfall they came to their father, weeping.
இன்னும், அவர்கள் (அன்று) பொழுது சாய்ந்ததும் தங்களுடைய தந்தையாரிடம் அழுது கொண்டே வந்தார்கள்.

and they came to their father in the evening weeping.
இன்னும், அவர்கள் (அன்று) பொழுது சாய்ந்ததும் தங்களுடைய தந்தையாரிடம் அழுது கொண்டே வந்தார்கள்.

and weeping they kneel down, and this increases their humility.
இன்னும் அவர்கள் அழுதவர்களாக முகங்கள் குப்புற விழுவார்கள்; இன்னும் அவர்களுடைய உள்ளச்சத்தையும் (அது) அதிகப்படுத்தும்.

and they came to their father in the evening, and they were weeping.
இன்னும், அவர்கள் (அன்று) பொழுது சாய்ந்ததும் தங்களுடைய தந்தையாரிடம் அழுது கொண்டே வந்தார்கள்.

and they came to their father in the early part of the night weeping.
இன்னும், அவர்கள் (அன்று) பொழுது சாய்ந்ததும் தங்களுடைய தந்தையாரிடம் அழுது கொண்டே வந்தார்கள்.

and they fall down on their chins weeping, and it increaseth them in humility.
இன்னும் அவர்கள் அழுதவர்களாக முகங்கள் குப்புற விழுவார்கள்; இன்னும் அவர்களுடைய உள்ளச்சத்தையும் (அது) அதிகப்படுத்தும்.

and they fall upon their faces weeping, and the qur'an increases them in humble submission.
இன்னும் அவர்கள் அழுதவர்களாக முகங்கள் குப்புற விழுவார்கள்; இன்னும் அவர்களுடைய உள்ளச்சத்தையும் (அது) அதிகப்படுத்தும்.

they fall down upon their faces weeping, and [the quran] increases their humility."
இன்னும் அவர்கள் அழுதவர்களாக முகங்கள் குப்புற விழுவார்கள்; இன்னும் அவர்களுடைய உள்ளச்சத்தையும் (அது) அதிகப்படுத்தும்.

and they fall down upon their faces, weeping, and their humility increases when (the qur'an) is recited to them.
இன்னும் அவர்கள் அழுதவர்களாக முகங்கள் குப்புற விழுவார்கள்; இன்னும் அவர்களுடைய உள்ளச்சத்தையும் (அது) அதிகப்படுத்தும்.

and they fall down on their faces weeping, and this qur’an increases their humility. (command of prostration # 4).
இன்னும் அவர்கள் அழுதவர்களாக முகங்கள் குப்புற விழுவார்கள்; இன்னும் அவர்களுடைய உள்ளச்சத்தையும் (அது) அதிகப்படுத்தும்.

it is these upon whom allah has bestowed favour among the prophets, from the descendants of adam; and from those whom we boarded along with nooh; and from the descendants of ibrahim and israel; and from those whom we guided and chose; when the verses of the most gracious were recited to them, they fell down, prostrating and weeping. (* command of prostration # 5.)
இவர்கள் ஆதமுடைய சந்ததியிலும், நூஹ்வுடன் (கப்பலில்) நாம் ஏற்றிக் கொண்டவர்களி(ன் சந்ததியி)லும், இப்ராஹீமுடையவும், இஸ்ராயீல் (யஃகூபின்) சந்ததியிலும், இன்னும் நாம் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து நேர்வழியில் நடத்தியவர்களிலுமுள்ள நபிமார்களாவார்கள் - இவர்கள் மீது அல்லாஹ் அருளைப் பொழிந்தான்; அர்ரஹ்மானுடைய வசனங்கள் அவர்களின் மீது ஓதப்பட்டால், அவர்கள் அழுதவர்களாகவும், ஸுஜூது செய்தவர்களாகவும் விழுவார்கள்.
