confound not truth with falsehood, nor knowingly conceal the truth.
และพวกเจ้าจงอย่าปะปน สิ่งจริงด้วยสิ่งเท็จ และจงอย่าปกปิดสิ่งที่เป็นจริง ทั้ง ๆ ที่พวกเจ้ารู้กันอยู่

and confound not the truth with falsehood, nor hide the truth while ye know.
และพวกเจ้าจงอย่าปะปน สิ่งจริงด้วยสิ่งเท็จ และจงอย่าปกปิดสิ่งที่เป็นจริง ทั้ง ๆ ที่พวกเจ้ารู้กันอยู่

do not confound truth with falsehood, nor knowingly hide the truth while you know.
และพวกเจ้าจงอย่าปะปน สิ่งจริงด้วยสิ่งเท็จ และจงอย่าปกปิดสิ่งที่เป็นจริง ทั้ง ๆ ที่พวกเจ้ารู้กันอยู่

and do not confound the truth with vanity, and do not conceal the truth wittingly.
และพวกเจ้าจงอย่าปะปน สิ่งจริงด้วยสิ่งเท็จ และจงอย่าปกปิดสิ่งที่เป็นจริง ทั้ง ๆ ที่พวกเจ้ารู้กันอยู่

and ye shall know to whom a punishment that will confound him cometh, and upon whom a lasting doom will fall.
แล้วพวกท่านก็จะรู้ว่าผู้ใดที่การลงโทษอันอัปยศจะมายังเขา และการลงโทษอันยั่งยืนจะประสบแก่เขา

o people of the scripture! why confound ye truth with falsehood and knowingly conceal the truth?
โอ้บรรดาผู้ได้รับคัมภีร์ทั้งหลาย ! เพราะเหตุใดพวกเจ้าจึงสวมความจริงไว้ด้วยความเท็จ และปกปิดความจริงไว้ ทั้งๆ ที่พวกเจ้าก็รู้ดีอยู่

o followers of the book! why do you confound the truth with the falsehood and hide the truth while you know?
โอ้บรรดาผู้ได้รับคัมภีร์ทั้งหลาย ! เพราะเหตุใดพวกเจ้าจึงสวมความจริงไว้ด้วยความเท็จ และปกปิดความจริงไว้ ทั้งๆ ที่พวกเจ้าก็รู้ดีอยู่

o people of the book! wherefore confound ye the truth with falsehood, and hide the truths while ye know?
โอ้บรรดาผู้ได้รับคัมภีร์ทั้งหลาย ! เพราะเหตุใดพวกเจ้าจึงสวมความจริงไว้ด้วยความเท็จ และปกปิดความจริงไว้ ทั้งๆ ที่พวกเจ้าก็รู้ดีอยู่

indeed, it will come upon them suddenly and confound them; and they will not be able to ward it off, nor shall they be reprieved.
แต่ว่ามันจะมาถึงพวกเขาโดยฉับพลันไม่รู้ตัว แล้วจะทำให้พวกเขาตกใจ ดังนั้น พวกเขาจึงไม่สามารถที่จะผลักดันให้พ้นไปได้ และพวกเขาก็ไม่อาจจะประวิงเวลาต่อไปได้

it is those who believe and confound not their belief with wrong doing. these! theirs is the security and they are the guided.
บรรดาผู้ที่ศรัทธา โดยที่มิได้ให้การศรัทธาของพวกเขาปะปนกับการอธรรม นั้น ชนเหล่านี้แหละพวกเขาจะได้รับความปลอดภัย และพวกเขาคือผู้ที่รับเอาคำแนะนำไว้

travel freely in the land four months, and know that ye cannot escape allah and that allah will confound the disbelievers (in his guidance).
“ดังนั้นพวกท่าน จงท่องเที่ยวไปในแผ่นดินสี่เดือน และพึงรู้เถิดว่า แท้จริงพวกท่านนั้นมิใช่ผู้ที่จะทำให้อัลลอฮ์หมดความสามารถ ก็หาไม่ และแท้จริงอัลลอฮ์จะทรงให้ผู้ปฏิเสธศรัทธาทั้งหลายอัปยศ

had we made him an angel, we would have surely made him a man, and we would have surely confounded them just as they confound [the truth now].
และหาพวกว่าเราได้ให้เขา เป็นมะลักแน่นอนเราก็ย่อมให้เขาเป็นคนผู้ชาย และแน่นอนเราก็ย่อมให้สิ่งที่พวกเขาคลุมเครือกัน อยู่เป็นที่คลุมเครือแก่พวกเขา

besides allah? they shall say: they are gone away from us, nay, we used not to call upon anything before. thus does allah confound the unbelievers.
อื่นจากอัลลอฮฺ พวกเขากล่าวว่ามันได้หลงหายไปจากพวกเราแล้ว แต่ว่าพวกเรามิได้วิงวอนขอต่อสิ่งใดก่อนหน้านี้ดอก! เช่นนั้นแหละอัลลอฮฺทรงให้บรรดาผู้ปฏิเสธศรัทธาหลงทาง

nay, it may come to them all of a sudden and confound them: no power will they have then to avert it, nor will they (then) get respite.
แต่ว่ามันจะมาถึงพวกเขาโดยฉับพลันไม่รู้ตัว แล้วจะทำให้พวกเขาตกใจ ดังนั้น พวกเขาจึงไม่สามารถที่จะผลักดันให้พ้นไปได้ และพวกเขาก็ไม่อาจจะประวิงเวลาต่อไปได้

whatsoever palm-trees ye cut down or left standing on their roots, it was by allah's leave, in order that he might confound the evil-livers.
การที่พวกเจ้าโค่นต้นอินทผาลัมหรือปล่อยให้มันยืนไว้บนรากของมันนั้น เนื่องด้วยอนุมัติของอัลลอฮฺ และเพื่อพระองค์จะทำให้บรรดาผู้ฝ่าฝืนได้รับอัปยศ

and even so their associate-gods have made fair seeming unto many of the associaters the slaying of their offspring, so that they may cause them to perish and that they may confound unto them their religion. and had allah so willed, they would not have done it. wherefore let thou alone them and that which they fabricate.
และในทำนองนั้นแหละ บรรดาภาคีของพวกเขา นั้น ได้ทำให้สวยงามแก่จำวนมากมายในหมู่มุชริกีน ซึ่งการฆ่าลุก ๆ ของพวกเขาเพื่อที่จะทำลายพวกเขา แลเพื่อที่จะให้สับสนแก่พวกเขา ซึ่งศาสนา ของพวกเขา และแม้ว่าอัลลอฮ์ประสงค์ แล้วพวกเขาย่อมไม่กระทำมันเจ้า จงปล่อยพวกเขา และสิ่งที่พวกเขาอุปโลกน์ความเท็จกันเถิด
