the foolish ones among us used to speak atrocious lies concerning allah.
และแท้จริง คนโง่ในหมู่พวกเราได้กล่าวร้ายต่ออัลลอฮฺอย่างเกินเหตุ

and that our foolish one has been saying about allah an excessive transgression.
และแท้จริง คนโง่ในหมู่พวกเราได้กล่าวร้ายต่ออัลลอฮฺอย่างเกินเหตุ

a foolish woman is clamourous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.
หญิงโง่นั้นเสียงเอ็ดอึง นางเซ่อและไม่รู้อะไรเล

and that the foolish amongst us used to forge extravagant things against allah:
และแท้จริง คนโง่ในหมู่พวกเราได้กล่าวร้ายต่ออัลลอฮฺอย่างเกินเหตุ

but they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.
เขาทั้งหลายทั้งโฉดและโง่เขลา ไม้อันนั้นเป็นแต่คำสอนไร้สาร

and the foolish said unto the wise, give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
พวกที่โง่นั้นก็พูดกับพวกที่มีปัญญาว่า `ขอแบ่งน้ำมันของท่านให้เราบ้าง เพราะตะเกียงของเราดับอยู่

'there were some foolish ones among us, who used to utter extravagant lies against allah;
และแท้จริง คนโง่ในหมู่พวกเราได้กล่าวร้ายต่ออัลลอฮฺอย่างเกินเหตุ

are ye so foolish? having begun in the spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
ท่านเขลาถึงเพียงนั้นทีเดียวหรือ เมื่อท่านเริ่มต้นด้วยพระวิญญาณแล้ว บัดนี้ท่านจะให้สำเร็จด้วยเนื้อหนังหรื

an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
เป็นผู้สอนคนโง่ เป็นครูของเด็ก เพราะท่านมีแบบอย่างของความรู้และความจริงในพระราชบัญญัตินั้

the disbelieving leaders of his people said, “indeed we consider you foolish and think you are a liar.”
“บรรดาชนชั้นนำที่ปฏิเสธการศรัทธาในหมู่ประชาชาติของเขาได้กล่าวว่า แท้จริงเราเห็นท่านอยู่ในความโฉดเขลา และแท้จริงพวกเราแน่ใจว่าท่านนั้นเป็นคนหนึ่งในหมู่ผู้มุสา”

but avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
แต่จงหลีกเสียจากปัญหาโฉดเขลาที่เถียงกัน จากการลำดับวงศ์ตระกูลและการเถียง และการทะเลาะกันเรื่องพระราชบัญญัติ เพราะว่าการอย่างนั้นไร้ประโยชน์และไม่เป็นเรื่องเป็นรา

and give not unto the foolish your property which allah has made a means of support for you, but feed and clothe them therewith, and speak to them words of kindness and justice.
และจงอย่าให้แก่บรรดาผู้ที่โง่เขลา ซึ่งทรัพย์ของพวกเจ้า ที่อัลลอฮฺได้ทรงให้เป็นสิ่งค้ำจุนแก่พวกเจ้า และจงให้ปัจจัยยังชีพและเครื่องนุ่งห่มแก่พวกเขาในทรัพย์นั้น และจงกล่าววาจาแก่พวกเขาอย่างดี

as the caravan departed, their father said: 'i smell the scent of joseph, unless you think i am foolish'
เมื่อกองคาราวานได้ออกมา (จากอียิปต์) พ่อของพวกเขากล่าวว่า “แท้จริงฉันได้กลิ่นของยูซุฟ หากพวกท่านไม่กล่าวหาฉันว่าเหลวไหล”

he said: "only god has the knowledge. i only convey to you what i have been sent with. but i see you are a foolish people."
เขา (ฮูด) กล่าวว่า แท้จริงความรู้ (เรื่องการลงโทษ) นั้นอยู่ที่อัลลอฮฺ และฉันขอประกาศแก่พวกท่านตามที่ฉันได้ถูกส่งมาเพื่อการนี้ แต่ฉันเห็นว่าพวกท่านเป็นหมู่ชนผู้งมงาย

he said: o my lord! prison is more dear than that unto which they urge me, and if thou fend not off their wiles from me i shall incline unto them and become of the foolish.
เขากล่าวว่า “โอ้ ข้าแต่พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ คุกนั้นเป็นที่รักยิ่งแก่ข้าพระองค์กว่าสิ่งที่พวกนางเรียกร้องข้าพระองค์ไปสู่มัน และหากพระองค์มิทรงให้อุบายของพวกนางพ้นไปจากข้าพระองค์แล้ว ข้าพระองค์อาจจะโน้มเอียงไปหาพวกนาง และข้าพระองค์จะเป็นคนหนึ่งในหมู่ผู้โง่เขลา”

we offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to carry it and were afraid of it; and man carried it. surely he is sinful, very foolish.
แท้จริงเราได้เสนอการอะมานะฮฺ แก่ชั้นฟ้าทั้งหลายและแผ่นดิน และขุนเขาทั้งหลาย แต่พวกมันปฏิเสธจะแบกรับมันและกลัวต่อมัน (คือภาระอันหนักอึ้ง) และมนุษย์ได้แบกรับมัน แท้จริงเขา (มนุษย์) เป็นผู้อธรรมงมงายยิ่ง
