and when the awe departed from abraham, and the glad news reached him, he pleaded with us on behalf of the folk of lot.
ครั้นเมื่อความตระหนกได้คลายไปจากอิบรอฮีมแล้ว และข่าวดีได้มายังเขา เขาก็โต้เถียงเราในเรื่องของกลุ่มชนลูฏ

when abraham's fear was dispelled, and the good news had come to him, he pleaded for the people of lot with us.
ครั้นเมื่อความตระหนกได้คลายไปจากอิบรอฮีมแล้ว และข่าวดีได้มายังเขา เขาก็โต้เถียงเราในเรื่องของกลุ่มชนลูฏ

well, you are those who pleaded for them in the life of this world; but who will plead for them on the day of resurrection or be their security?
พึงรู้เถิดว่า พวกเจ้านี้แหละ ได้เถียงแทนพวกเขา กันในชีวิตความเป็นอยู่แห่งโลกนี้ แล้วใครเล่าที่จะเถียงกับอัลลอฮฺแทนพวกเขาในวันกิยามะฮ์ หรือว่าใครเล่าจะเป็นผู้รับมอบหมายให้คุ้มครองรักษา

ho! ye are they who pleaded for them in the life of the world. but who will plead with allah for them on the day of resurrection, or who will then be their defender?
พึงรู้เถิดว่า พวกเจ้านี้แหละ ได้เถียงแทนพวกเขา กันในชีวิตความเป็นอยู่แห่งโลกนี้ แล้วใครเล่าที่จะเถียงกับอัลลอฮฺแทนพวกเขาในวันกิยามะฮ์ หรือว่าใครเล่าจะเป็นผู้รับมอบหมายให้คุ้มครองรักษา

and he entered the city when its inhabitants were sleeping unaware in the afternoon – he therefore found two men fighting; one was from moosa’s group, and the other from among his enemies; so the one who was of moosa’s group pleaded to moosa for help against him who was of his enemies – therefore moosa punched him thereby finishing him; he said, “this act was from the devil*; indeed he is an open enemy, a misleader.” (* the act of oppressing the man from bani israel).
และเขา (มูซา) ได้เข้าไปในเมือง ขณะที่ชาวเมืองกำลังพักผ่อน เขาได้เห็นชายสองคนต่อสู้กันอยู่ในนั้น คนหนึ่งมาจากพวกพ้องของเขา และอีกคนหนึ่งมาจากฝ่าย (ที่เป็น) ศัตรูของเขา ดังนั้น คนที่มาจากพวกพ้องของเขาได้ร้องขอความช่วยเหลือ เพื่อให้ปราบฝ่ายที่เป็นศัตรูของเขา มูซาได้ต่อยเขาแล้วได้ฆ่าเขา เขากล่าวว่า “นี่มันเป็นการกระทำของชัยฏอน แท้จริงมันเป็นศัตรูที่ทำให้หลงผิดอย่างแจ้งชัด”
